  1. french fries and ice cream. but I think a lot of people do that, expecially if it comes from mcdonalds.

I also like peanutbutter and cheese together.

I eat potato chips with mustard... but never tried apples with mustard.

  2. maybe I should send him the bands we already have to show at the interview ;) we're going to have two separate bands. one for the legal part, which will then be switched out for the real ones at the ceremony.

it didn't feel right to be married without bands (until the ceremony), but it felt wrong to have the permanent bands on before the day we say 'I do' in front of friends and family :)

  3. My personal favorite.......and most embarrassing after explanation.....

When I visited over there, I slipped and fell on my back side...my fanny... as we call it down south .....Lets just say those of you from the U.K. know exactly why every one started laughing hysterically when I said I fell and busted my fanny.

LMAO! I still find the double meaning for this word to be hysterical

Also, we don't have the same ear for accents as you do. We Americans can usually tell the difference between east coast, southern, Minnesontan, and midwestern (this is the "no accent" version of American English), but English (not even counting the various versions of this!), Irish, Scottish AND Australian all sound the same to us.

amen on this. my fiance took me around manchester and liverpool to go accent listening. to be honest, it almost all sounded the same to me!

his sister was terrified that I was going to have a deep south accent. I very much wanted to pull out my best impression of a southerner when I first met her, just to mess with her ;) however, she was relieved that I sounded like the typical 'no discernible accent' american you hear on TV.

  4. my fiance and I plan on going to the courthouse and just getting married there for the 90 day time limit, should everything go as planned. once we've gotten the big bills out of the way (AOS and whatever else) and he finds a job, we'll start planning for an actual ceremony. we don't want to rush the planning in 90 days, and we want to be able to save up some money to spend on it.

does anyone know if that will satisfy the london embassy? I know that people bring wedding invitations and guest lists to their interview... considering we won't have any of that yet, do you think it will hurt our case at all?
