  1. i don't think they gonna ask your fiancee a valid ID on her interview at US Embassy, i had my interview last 21st and they didn't as me any ID; passport is enough. However, she needs 2 valid ID's in CFO. Valid ID's are:

    Professional ID Card (from PRC)

    Drivers License

    SSS ID

    Postal ID

    PhilHealth ID

School ID (if she's a student)

    Digitized Voter's ID

    Philhealth Card

Office of Senior Citizen's Affairs (OSCA) / Senior Citizen's Card

    ACR Identity Card ( I-Card)

    OFW ID

    Seaman's book

Government Issued Office ID (e.g. Armed Forces of the Philippines, Home Development Mutual Fund (HMDF) ID

    National ID

    Diplomat ID

Philippine Leisure and Retirement Authority (PLRA) ID

Company IDs issued by private entities or institutions registered with or supervised or regulated either by the BSP, SEC or IC.

Other Valid IDs issued by the Government and its instrumentalities.

and how to get them ?

  3. My Fiance is now staying in manila area awaiting her interview, she still needs a valid ID other than her passport. she went to get a postal ID (whatever that is) and says that they told her she cannot get that there cos she is new there to manila... I need to know if anyone knows what are considered to be valid ID and what are our options here, cos it says 2 forms of photo ID to get CFO seminar and certificate...

  4. Hi All

New to this. My Fiance who is american and I met in Panama in Jun 2010 and have dated long distance since then. I have been to America to see her 5 times (6 this xmas) and she has been to see me 4 times in Europe. We are crazy about each other and have talk on Skype sometimes hours every day. We decided to get married when I proposed in London in May and we started the visa process in June. No NOA2 yet but my question is to all of you.

I have just turned 30 and she is 20 do you think this will have an effect on the decision?

She is super mature and my family love her as does her mine.

Would love to hear what you all think

    Many thanks

    Peter

the answer to your query is a resounding NO!!! age is just a number :)

  5. Hi All,

I have an issue. Me and my fiance are having problems in every area in our relationship, and our relationship is on the line. I really don't want to get married to him, but I don't want to go back home (Europe) (I don't have anything anymore).

Is there a possibility to stay in the US, get a job and take care of myself.

I just came over 2 months ago and needed to get married within 90 days.

Hope you have some good advice.

    Precious

NObody promised you a rose garden , the simple fact is that when two people( who have never lived together)now will suddenly discover all of each others faults and defects.

the one thing in question here is, How deep is your love? have you forgotten or was unaware that love is not all peaches and cream? its about devotion, faithfulness and commitment. I'm sorry but jumping ship at the first sign of trouble just doesn't seem like the right thing to do. my suggestion to you is this. IF you really love this person HANG IN THERE! For someone to think for one minute that 2 people will never butt heads that have never lived together is a rediculous assumption! But, then again only you know your true situation sooo its up to you ... have a nice day

  6. When you are in AP during the K1 process, you call every day in order to know that your petition has been sent on. They sure as blue blazes won't notify you. You call because sometimes you get a letter, or several of them as in my case, from NVC that says your petition has been sent on when it hasn't. You call every day because you are worried, because you are stressed out, like this process needs to add further stress to the couple's load. Name checks are one thing, and they do check for those, but that isn't necessarily the the reason a lot of K1'####### the wall. It seems there are quite a few more reasons for AP than you are aware of.

You call every day so you can know the instant that this extra step for K1's, initiated just a couple of years ago, is over.

hear hear ! you hit the nail on the head and thank you for your support! By the way, what are some of the reasons for AP ?

  7. There was a mistake too when i filled up my 156 online and found it after I printed it,before I make any move or decision I called the embassy and ask them what the best thing I can do and they said do another 156 online, and disregard the old one.So I filled up another 156 and I make sure no more mistake.,.. :)

    Thank you !!

  8. my fiance filled out the ds156 online form, once completed she clicked continue and it GENERATED A BAR CODE. she THEN emailed me a copy to look over. in her permanent address she of course typed her address street town province but for the country she put..UNITED STATES,INSTEAD OF PHILIPPINES!! Can this be corrected ? If so does anyone know how? or can she simply mark through that and "pencil-in" the correct country and explain her mistake.

  9. Well, its been 18 days since our date of I129F approval and the NVC has just now received it into their system today. They informed me to allow an additional 2 to 4 weeks for processing and to receive our letter or case # .....Is this a normal time frame?? (I was expecting things to go quicker than this.)

  10. OK Now that our I129F has been approve I need to know All forms and supporting evidence that is required to be taken with the beneficiary (my Fiance') to the interview. And on which forms do we need to attach a passport style photo, which forms are signed in the presence of someone at the US consulate in manila, Phils?

Is the example forms page all inclusive? Are these forms all that is necessary for the interview? I've also learned of new requirements before exiting the country in Phils...Does anyone know of this? And what are the details of these new requirements?

  11. No, I did not request any expidite, just waited. They do seem to be moving along rather quickly now. As a matter of fact, both me and a friend of mine and his fiance' were also approved same day LOL. He sent his in a week later than I did. I've also discovered now that the embassy is open.

    thanks penguin

  12. My fiance'and I are extremely happy to announce that our I129F has been approved !!! We are concerned now though because of the conditions in manila now. The weather has not been kind. It seems that there is terrible flooding due to 2 typhoons to hit there back to back, and the US embassy is flooded as well. Does anyone have a clue as to when they will be able to open again? Or; is there any alternate plan in place so the US Dept. of State can resume business there in Phils??

  13. I have received the reciept(NOA1)from the VSC and it of course lists my fiance's name and date of birth,

but under COUNTRY OF BIRTH it says UNKNOWN,... IS THIS NORMAL OR DO I NEED TO CONTACT THEM TO CORRECT THIS?

Surely I did not leave this out on her G325A.
