when mailing all the missing documents for a RFE, should i fill out a new I-864 form again to attached the documents? or should i just mail the bar coded sheet with the missing docs??? im mailing my RFE stuff today.. pls help me...

mitch in my own knowledge i think you wont be needing to fill up a new I-864, bec your RFE is just for your 2009 tax return... just attach the barcoded sheet

I spoke to my lawyer and she said I don't have to request for an upgrade when i become a citizen (big relief on my part). I really hope everything would go smoothly.. I've been calling NVC since I got the approval letter, but the AVR keeps saying that they don't have my case yet. How long does it usually take for the NVC case # to be generated?

does it have something to do with the priority dates that's why it took that much time? or just the regular processing/waiting time?

it all depends in your priority date... USCIS approves and forward it to NVC when priotity date is about to become current, in our case when we got our case number we still waited for a while before NVC start processing our case... because NVC only start processing petitions when priority is about to become current. it took us 2-3weeks to have our case number.

guys i have one question here... is it reliable to request tax return transcript via IRS avr system? i requested for it today in behalf of my husband coz i have this feeling that i would be getting another RFE again for missing W-2!!!grrrrrr.....

rfe regarding to my aos documents which its already at nvc at that day when they send the rfe... and i call immediately the nvc persons and it say's no we receive the documents and its not rfe hopefully avr wrong... because the person i talked to say's its ok... false rfe maybe but i have to be sure i need to call them and speak to another operator. what do u think?

your fine!!! as ive said before your checklist letter was generated before your AOS was entered in there system, RFE emails from NVC usually received 2days after checklist was generated, and so you in your case you got their RFE email which coincides on the day your AOS was entered in the system. If you want another answer then talk to other operator to confirm again. i observe it is easier to connect between 11am-12pm lunchtime here in PI. youll be fine!dont worry to much

@odne before as speak to operator and said they just got my aos doc but the avr says i have a missing documents on my financial docs... when i read the e-mail they send me it says they need my aos docs which the operator told me that in their system already... do i need to send them again

i think your checklist was generated before your AOS was entered into their system. talk to several operators not just one, if they all says it was there in their system then you dont have to send once again. with the AVR, sometimes they dont update.. what is important is to talk to them directly and in whatever they says, u can even ask why its not still in your AVR... goodluck!

maui it say's their waiting for may AOS but they mailed last week as of now its not in NVC AVR... i was not the one who mailed it so i dont know if what mailing option they do... wish me luck vj family coz i need a lot hehehe... god bless us all

ohhh i got the same situation as yours before.. we paid a particular person to the job for my hubby's AOS and let her to do the mailing and all.. but unfortunately NVC aint got the docs so we sent it once again.. as long as that person is worth ur trust no need to worry! if they mailed it last week then give it a few days more... we sent it by august2 in the afternoon over overnight express mail and NVC got it by august5!!!it took them extra days!!!... then entered in the system by august10... and now still waiting for the review... dont u worry i everything will be fine godbless u

but it is possible for AVR to be updated daily...that happened with my ds230..july12 NVC got it,july19 entered in the system as per AVR,july20 reviewed and found incomplete as per AVR, july21 a checklist letter was generated as per AVR, july22 got my checklist letter....

AVR ussually updates a week after they received ur package... did u send it via USPS certified and prioritized? they got my checklist response package by aug5 as per USPS and was in the system by august10. call NVC and talk to human to be sure! goodluck...

Yup mahirap na talaga pa passport ngaun kc new rule by appointment na, yan din naging problema ko nun for my renewal...got appontment date d2 sa province after 2months pa and i caint wait na..u know what ngpunta ako manila at ngbayad mas mahal sa fixer para lang makaappointment sa DFA sa araw na un lol. does ur stepson has his appointment date already?... u can go to manila kaso lang too far from cebu... hope everything will be fine..goodluck!

clav we mailed AOS first followed by my ds230 but since our aos aint reach NVC, ds230 was reviewed first. ds230 was in the system by july 19 and was reviewed july 20...i got checklist letter for my NBI and AOS july 22...mailed checklist response and entered in the system by aug9 and 10. we mailed it separately,we just print separate barcoded sheet. How about ur case how was it going?

the court order was released just last week. my hubby is on his way to DFA for my stepson's passport which will be 15 days so i am not in a rush with my RFE too... NVC was telling me that they never received my 2009 tax transcript... i will be mailing them again next week.... im a little bit tired with all this but i know this feeling is just temporary... i will be again energized soon.... just over whelmed that the rest of my USCIS batch are already on their way to their interview....

what is your priority date?

just call NVC's number you'll find it on the website or the mail they sent to you..just provide them your MNL number..it's much cheaper if the call came from US.

...thats right and based on what i observed..its best to call night time, its easier to connect and their night crews are nicer.

alit how was your case going?? any updates??? odne's PD is i think March 2009. ur pd is oct 2008 right? mine is nov 2008, as i observed on how things going you dont really nead to wait that long like others to have interview shedule. its a matter of luck i guess. PD dont really matter as long as it shows current. goodluck to us guys...

Yes, What I recomend you is to request expedite and if you have time you can call the embassy where your interview is going to be and let them know or talk to officer .....when i called the embassy in Peru , the lady told me that they usually approve any case that they don't have any problem. You can tell them or your husband and explain your situation ....what i did was to scann only few prescription from my mom's doctor with some test and results she had high cholesterol....you can do something about it.

Tell you that I sent the DS something i don't remember the form ....biographical part and the authorization from me to me , so I spelled wrong my mom's last name so i sent inmediately the copy of her passport and they changed it inmediately....I am pretty sure you will be fine!!! You just explain the situation ...put your case number in the Subject and then explain everything. Good luck and let me know ok?? and what can i recomend you to request expedite your case you can do it i did and the embassy where my mom is going to have her interview accepted inmediately.

Yes, you can explain everything and attach your husband's passport biographical part and send this information to nvcinquiry@state.gov.

Don't forget your case number as and the TITLE petitioner name and date of birth and beneficiary too
