I'm a November filer and got approved yesterday at San Antonio field office during my hubby's (USC) interview. Thank God. Now, on the NV stage. God bless everyone who are waiting to be approved too.

Congratulations.
For us, the status changed between decision and post decision was about 5-6 hours.
thank you. Our status is still the same til now. thank you again.
Awesome news, congrats!!
Yes, indeed. thank you.

Congratulation on your approval. So they called him in for and interview.
Thank you. Yes, he got a mail requesting for an interview last Jan. 27.

My hubby's interview today at San Antonio field office and was asked to bring extra documents for bona fide marriage. He brought with him documents, pictures, etc and the officer who interviewed him did not ask for any documents. He just asked few questions like how long you've been married, did you stay in the Philippines for how long, etc. Everything went smooth and got approved in person. Thank you Lord so much.
We asked for expedite request due to my hubby's medical condition but I don't think it is still working these days. We went through normal process, forgot the expedite and lifted it to God. God is full of surprises indeed. Thank you Lord.
Thank you also to Yugo who I asked questions because he had his interview prior to my hubby at the same local office.
I checked the uscis website today and it was changed to decision with this message:
Decision
On February 12, 2013, your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was approved. You will be notified of the decision by mail. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case, including when the approval notice is mailed. If you do not receive the approval notice within 30 days, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.
During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.
I just wondering why it is still in decision, i thought post decision already. anyone also got this message? thank you very much.
God bless us all.

Hello Darnell, I've been following this topic. My husband also did an expedite request last November and until now it is so hanging. we don't know if it is approved or denied for we didnot get any mail. They said they will send us a mail within 30 days after we sent another evidence thru fax but the latest answer we got is our papers were forwarded to the state department and they coudn't do anything about it but just to email them to follow-up our request. I won't expect no more that they will approve our request for it takes too long for them to respond. I am just sad because my hubby will be scheduled for surgery this March and he is having hard times now with his chemoradiation. It is so hard for us and for others too, but nothing we can do for now but to keep hoping and believing.
-
I'm sorry to hear that you got denied but good for you that you got answer quick. We asked also for an expedite request due to medical condition of my husband who has cancer but until now we have no idea if it is granted or not. The ISO said that it was forwarded to the state department.
Praying we will all be approved soon. God bless

Congratulations to both of you. God is good.

It sounds like they denied your request, since the tier 2 said it would take 4+ months. I would call back in a couple of days, get a different tier 2, ask again just in case. What was your expedite based on, when did you make it and what did you submit as evidence?
Thank you Penguin_ie for your response. I really appreciate it. The expedite request is about the health condition of my hubby. He was diagnosed of cancer last October and he is undergoing chemoradiation and is scheduled for surgery next month. We resubmitted our I-130 packet ( we sent it last october but was returned to us because hubby forgot to sign the one form) last November with an expedite request and other lab results. They sent us a mail last december asking for another evidence, a letter from his doctor,my hubby sent it thru fax. Hubby called again and they said to wait for 30 days to receive a mail. After 30 days of waiting, no mail still so hubby called yesterday and said that the ISO said the only thing she can do for now is to mail the state department to request for an expedite again but there is no assurance if it will be granted. She gave us this email ad lockboxsupport@dhs.gov to follow-up for our request. I know I need to wait for their reply but I want to get information from others here too. Thank You very much.

Hi everyone..I need help. I am really confused regarding our expedite request. My hubby called the USCIS today and spoke to tier 2 officer to follow-up our request. The officer said that our papers were forwarded to the state department and there is nothing they can do, she also said that it will take 4-5 months to be approved in there. I am really confused about the status of our papers now. I am confused why it is in the state department already, are they the one who will approve or deny the request for expedite? We haven't received any mail from USCIS after our NOA1. Please enlighten me. Thank You very much.

My prayers for you and your husband. Keep the faith. God bless you

Count me in.. Just got an email notification today for our noa1. Thank you Lord.

Hello everyone. I'm back again. I just would like to ask if do we need to wait for the doctor's letter for the expedite request or we can send back the i-130 packet without it? I am just afraid that if we going to wait for the letter, our applications will be outdated already especially the passport pictures. We decided to send back the i-130 packet tomorrow without the letter of the doctor because my hubby's appointment to his surgeon will be this coming Wednesday. Do you think is that okay? please need your ideas and answers. We attached an expedite letter with the coloscopy, biopsy and ct scan result, a fax copy from his doctor. His old doctor never gave him letter.
Thank you very much everyone.

Keep us updated! Thank you also for your prayers. Even hard and bad things have a good result because our God is Almighty and none evil, disease, or failure can stand unto Him. :-)
Yes sis. You are right.. God is so good. Yesterday, we found out the result of my hubby's Ct scan. Praise God! the cancer didnot spread. My hubby will be scheduled for surgery next month. We don't know yet what stage it is until the operation. Thank you for your prayers. God bless us.

OK - the entire I-130 was sent back.
now is time to write a letter requesting the expedite, and make a pile of evidence supporting the emergent medical situation.
include all with the resubmittal on the I-130
on the outside of the mailer, write [i-130 for XX visa][Expedite-Medical]. This helps the routing folk to send it to the right office quickly.
my list of stuff is here:
http://www.visajourn...ost__p__5776847
then you need to write up a letter requesting the expedite, put that on top of the pile of medical evidence, clip all together and clip it to the top of the I-130 packet.
Thank you so much Darnell. Wow, really this is all I need. Thank you so much for the information. We will send it soon. I will update you when I hear from them. God bless
^^^ I'm starting to like this idea...a lot-ish.
Yes, it is Tahoma.. very helpful. thank you everyone..

Be confident, your expedite will be approved......
Thank you.. we will send it soon.

You really have NOTHING to lose by requesting it. I don't know if they will approve the request to expedite, but if they don't you're in no worse a boat than you are right now.
Yes, thank you. We will try in a few days because my hubby is in rough times right now. So hard but we will try. thank you

Sorry to hear about the bad news.
I found some expedite info on the USCIS website. I hope others in the VJ family will chime in on the issue.
Thank you so much for that info timestamp. Very good information the link you sent. thank you again
-
Generally, expedite on medical grounds when the USC is sick you'll need major evidence and a pretty sever illness to get them to approve it. Sometimes they don't even approve that.
Thank You.. Yes, we got copy of the result and we can request a certificate from his doctor, too.

My husband and I are praying for your husband's health, the uscis process and for you. We have been in there from the first year we married. But we are still together. I almost lost my husband this year when he had a very bad bowel obstruction from his Chron's disease he suffers since he is 12 years old. I was very scared of thinking in the unthinkable, but thanks God he is now recovering. Financially we have been struggling a lot, neither we do have insurance, and my current job just gives us enough to pay rent and bills. But even among all this situation we pray together and raise hour hope and faith to God. It is scary but that is when I remind myself that I cannot do anything if I lose faith. The good outcome of all this is, we are closer to each other, an experience and a moment that I would no trade for anything else. My husband has taught me lessons of faith and endurance. I truly admire his tenacity and warrior spirit. We send to you both all our support. Hugs.
Thank you so much. Your experience really inspired me. Thank God that your husband is recovering now. God is good. Yes, faith keeps us going. I'm hanging in here because of God and all your prayers. Thank You again and to your husband. God loves us big time. He never ceases to amaze me. Thank You Lord. God bless you and your hubby. I pray that he will recover fully.
