My application took a little over 6 months to be approved and I sent in a TON of evidence and didn't have any RFEs or an interview. These things just take time. Your status is safe as you have your extension letter. Relax and enjoy the Holiday season.

I had to find a professional photography place and have them do the photos. They had a stamp with their information and they stamped the back of the photos and also dated it. Kinkos and Walgreens did not take high enough quality as my first application for passport was rejected based on that.

Got my card today. REALLY fast as I was approved on November 22. I'm happy this is over with until I decide to apply for Citizenship. Good luck to everyone else!

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.

Same thing happened to me and I also filed the AR-11 shortly after our move. Just use your current address when you file for your I-751. I did that and had no problems as well.

I didn't send any with my ROC package because I felt that my other proofs were sufficient.

Received the magic email today! Said they ordered production of my new card on November 22. I was about to call them this week and file a service request. It's nice that I didn't have to. Congrats to the other approvals and I hope those still waiting here something positive soon!

Just wondering what, if anything, those of you who have gone past the 6 month mark are going to be doing anything? If so, what? And what the results are?

I'm SO excited to see a May approval again!!! Gosh, I hope they start coming in like rapid fire.. I really do not want to deal with service requests and infopass and the misinformation line or really any of that garbage!

Any time we changed our address, we only got confirmation for the US Citizen not the Permanent Resident. So I think that what you experienced is common.

I had an RFE for my I-485. It was for a W-2 for my co-sponser that I forgot to put in the original package. Don't worry. It could be something as simple as that.

The wait is also testing my patience. I try to relax about it and say "well, it's just time passing before I apply for citizenship," but I'd really like to have that 10 year card in my hand.

I don’t think that they are go denied you just like that without at least ask for more evidence (RFE) or call you for an interview. Honestly I don’t think so. I’would be more concerned if one those are issued and you guys are not in the US to provide whatever they ask for or to attend to an interview if that is the case. Hopefully someone is going to check your mail box while you guys are overseas.

I agree. They won't outright deny but they may ask for more stuff/interview. Do make sure to have someone check your mail.

For me, I'm also still waiting but am not going out of town so that's good. But the waiting is getting VERY old. I just want to know something... Of course, I did only get my biometrics done on August 31, so I guess I'll just keep trucking along!

My husband and I are getting close to filing our I-751 later this month. I have a question regarding our home. My husband has resided in our home for the past 10 years. I moved here in 2008 so the mortgage for our home is in my husband's name and so is the home ownership. We haven't refinanced due to the economy and the closing cost to interest ratio not really being beneficial at this time. I am curious to know if this is going to be a problem as obviously I am not able to show ownership of our home by means of a mortgage or deed. I do however have plenty of evidence which relates to our address as common residence for pretty much everything else.

I think you should be fine as long as you explain all of that regarding the mortgage in a coverletter on your package. That way the USCIS Immigration Officer knows why your name is not on the mortgage documents.

They give it back after they stamp and sign it. It gives you proof that you had your biometrics.

I was an F-1 student and I did not have a A# when I first filed my package. I wrote none on the A# section as I had none. After you begin the process they will issue you an A#. Hope this helps!

Your wife will fill out the I-864 as the US Citizen since she will be sponsoring your adjustment of status. Hope that helps!

You can file before you leave, but you will need to be in the country for your biometrics appointment and possible interview. Also, once you send in the application, USCIS will send you a notice that extends your status for one year. You will need that notice along with your green card to enter the county if you return to the USA after your green card expires. If you plan to go to Sweden for only a little while and you will be back before the card expires, you could apply then. I would apply before my holiday but would wait until after I receive my notice of extension to buy tickets/leave the country because you never know how long it will take to get it. Keep in mind that biometrics happens approx. one month after you apply so you'll want to be around for that. I got an appointment for when I was going to be out of the country so I submitted for reschedule and that was fine too.

I changed my SIN when I got married and got a Canadian passport in my married name as well as updating my Canadian bank accounts to reflect the name change. I can't think of anything else I left in Canada that required a name change.

Had my biometrics done today finally. It's been nearly 3 and half months since we first applied. I wonder when all of the May CSC approvals will come... Hopefully soon!

I am excited to have my Biometrics next week, hopefully it won't be too long after that to get an approval. Just though I'd drop a note to say that I traveled on the expired card with the letter and had no problems other than the border guard thought my card expired in 2008 not 2010 because she apparently didn't know how to read it! She almost didn't let me cross but then realized her mistake. We all laughed but it definitely made me nervous when she asked me if received any further notice after my NOA.

I traded in my basic Alberta license for a Kansas license with no problems. They were going to give me a temporary license (as my AOS was being processed) but instead they decided to give me a full license with a normal expiration date.

Wait. Are you planning to reschedule your first appointment? If not, DO NOT send in second notice for rescheduling. That's what I did because I could not attend either of my notices. I would attend your first appointment and bring in the second notice.

If I understand correctly what USCIS told you is to :

a)Send a copy of the second notice for rescheduling (with a letter saying that it was a second notice)

b)Attend the earliest one and bring the second notice.

This is all just so confusing...

You have understood correctly. I'm only telling you what the information line told me. I am going to follow those instructions but if you feel more comfortable, attend both appointments. I will be going to my first rescheduled appointment and bringing my second notice, if they send me one.

I also received two Bio notices. I called USCIS Information line and they told me to send the second notice in for rescheduling and add a letter saying that this was my second biometrics notice. They also said that if they sent two rescheduled appointments notices, I should attend the earliest appointment and bring the second notice.

I received my rescheduled biometrics notice yesterday. The date will work great so I'm happy that I will get the next step over with by the end of the month! Congrats on all the approvals!! It makes me hopeful1

Instructions: If more than 30 days have elapsed since your NOA1 date and you have not received your biometrics appointment letter, you can call the NCSC (their number is on your NOA1) and put in service request to the service center which you filed (CSC or VSC) to find out the status of the biometrics appointment letter. Make sure to verify the home address and mailing address (if any) with them on the phone. You can also request to speak to an immigration officer (you may have to ask at least twice to be transferred) to get your CR I-89 receipt number, (it is the receipt number of the biometrics letter) so that you can track your case online.
