  1. On the g-325a it asks for prior spouse's name. It ask for mainden name which is fine. Then it ask for first name. The 129-f just asks for name and doesn't specify maiden or otherwise. Problem is she changed her first, middle, and last names when we married. Should i use her new first name or the original name on the g-325a and which name should i use on 129-f? The divorce decree has her new name with middle initial. When we were divorced she didn't show up and so her name is still the whole new name, my last name and all. So i'm just confused as to which names to put.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thank you!

  2. we have already started getting the police reports. we were going to try and get things done hopefully before her residency expires in october. a few things have led to delays so that isn't going to happen. that's quite an interesting suggestion about using the Oman address now. I'll talk it over with her now. I'm just concerned if things process fast and she is still in lebanon when she needs to be at an interview in Oman. Then again it's less than 4 months away that her residency expires.

    thanks again!

  3. it does help thank you. I've been informed by her brother (whom she'll moving in with in Oman) that i should put Muscat Oman. They can do all that's needed there. So now i'll just have to update her address when the time comes. Hope that isn't too difficult.

Does anyone for see a problem with what i'm doing? Putting her Beirut, Lebanon address on the forms, and her Visa app location as Muscat, Oman? It's in all honesty and hopefully the easiest way.

  4. My fiance lives in Beirut, Lebanon right now. Her residency there expires in October and might be moving to Muscat, Oman if they don't renew it.

What should I put for "Your fiancé(e) will apply for a visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at:"?

I wish i could put both with an "or" between them. Has anyone else filed a 129-f and had their fiance move to another country in the process? Do i just send them a form of some sort for the address/location change?

Any help is much appreciated. Trying to get the app out soon.

    Thanks,

    Donny

  5. I'm still putting together my K1 129f packet so i haven't even filed yet. When i was visiting my fiance in april we wanted to get done what we could while together. She started to get police reports for where she's lived since she was 16. i know this is jumping the gun as those are not needed till she goes on her interview.

question is, did we get these too early? by the time she goes on her interview 6, 8, possibly 12 months from now, will the one of where she is currently living still be acceptable? she lives in Lebanon. Do the police reports have to be super recent?

    thank you for any help,

    Donny

  6. i called USCIS (after finding out how to get an actual person to talk to) and asked this. they said as long as there are marks that the translator is certified then it's ok. they told me that i do not need a statement from them if there is a stamped, signed, dated certification that is official.

i'm not saying you are wrong, just trying to sort out what should be done. i already told the fiance she doesn't need the certification letter as she heard the phone (was in middle of skype call with her) it would cost her more to get the letters signed.

should i tell her to do it anyway to be safe?

  7. Hello, first post. I am assembling my I-129f package and have a couple question about the certification by translator forms.

If the translated documents have the name, address, phone number, email, government seal, date and signature with the translator syndicate stamp on it, do we still need the certificate by translator forms? it is actually letter headed stationary from the translator that it's translated on.

thank you and i'm sure i'll have many more question in the future :)
