It's sent!
I super checked, had my father go over it to make sure my eyes weren't burnt out. I used return reciept. Now i just wait. This waiting is going to be maddening isn't it?
Thank you all for the help. I really appreciate it! Going to make a timeline now, add some info, and put up a pic. For some reason I felt I shouldn't until this was filed. Now i feel official
Here's to all others in waiting! Hope I'm welcome to the club
We are so excited!!!!!!!!

congrats! i hope to send mine out y the end of this week as well. hope you have a speedy processing!
-
and an apology to JlovesA if i'm being too harsh. i do appreciate the advice, just stressed as i'm sure this process makes everyone.
-
Just do what you think makes the most sense. You could even write "see Appendix A" and include a sheet of paper titled Appendix A and explain the address situation.
You need to figure this stuff out, we can't hold your hand through everything.
wow, i came for some advice as many others do here every day. i've researched for almost a year and found answers myself to all the hard things before even starting this visa process. it's these small confusing things i need help getting answers to. i've asked relatives, called the uscis (they are no help) searched these forums, and hear a lot about rfe's. I've had long talks with the fiances and ever her brother who's po box this is. the brother and i had just finished with an hour long talk before i had posted. if i had a solution that i thought "made sense" i would have done that obviously. i don't want to mess this up, i want things to go as smoothly as possible. these forms aren't exactly super clear, and i don't want to falsify any info, so i don't understand the condescending tone about me holding my hand through everything. i'm using this forum as a last resort for information. about "figuring this stuff out", that is exactly what i'm trying to do. why would this forum exist if everyone just said things like that. I'm trying to do what i think makes the most sense, but i'm also concerned about that being wrong.
I'm an adult, you are an adult, i'm sure you had questions too that may not have seemed too difficult to some. Please watch the non helpful condescending tone as if i was a child. with that said, thank you for the appendix suggestion.

I'm new here myself still, but from what i read the biggest thing is the letters of intent (which can be found in the "example forms" at the top of this page). signed, dated closer to the interview, and original. also the evidence of genuine and ongoing relationship: pictures, boarding passes for visit(s), receipts from their country, phone/chat logs, email logs and conversations.
i'm sure others will chime in. please correct me if i'm wrong. hope this helps.

is my question not understood?
i'm guessing i should just put the city (really a small town outside of the city) as i think it's more important for her to get the packet. am i wrong?
-
forgot to say this is the beneficiary's PO box/address. there is no postal service where she lives.
-
Pretty much what the topic says. should i cater to one over the other? do i need to put po box address in all 3 sections (2 on I129F one on G325A)? the first page of the I129F has a postal code section, someone suggested to me to put the po box info there, including city.
I want to make sure the consulate knows where to send what she needs and still put the right info.
can i just use the po box address on all areas?
-
and remember, the bank doesn't know a packet of info was sent over sears. tell her to not volunteer information they don't ask for. she should basically only tell them money is missing, she didn't spend it, what's the deal?
of course she won't think it you! you sound like you are as angry, panicy, worried, and stressed as she is. just comfort and don't suspect she might think that.
-
yes i did in fact see that. they were referring to their (USC's) address/p.o. box. I just want to make sure the consulate would be able to tell where the beneficiary needs these to be sent to clearly. srryo if this is rather redundant or if knowing how a certain consulate would interpret it is beyond the scope of this site. thank you for the information

Hello, I'm just about done with the I129-F packet. i'm concerned with her address, there is no local postal system for when the consulate will send her forms and checklist. there is a P.O. box i can put, but it's not her physical address. how would i put this on the forms? just po box or both address and po box after?
-
not trusting of paperclips since this thing is going to be shipped. i baggy'd it. thank you!
-
ok, i feel dumb for asking such a simple question. How should i attach the person check? just staple it to a page and put a tab on the page? plastic baggy like all the pictures?
for some reason i'm stuck on this last part.
after that i just copy my fiance's arabic handwriting on the I129-F and it's ready to go
getting excited!
-
new list looks as such:
- Payment in the amount of $455.00.
- I-129F
- I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person
- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)
- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)
- Birth certificate (Petitioner)
- Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
- Divorce Decrees (1st - Petitioner’s: English copy
2nd - Beneficiary’s: English copy
3rd - Beneficiary’s: Certificate of Translator, English Translation copy, Arabic copy)
- Proof of having met in person in the past two years
- Proof of ongoing relationship
good? i like it. the "2nd..." and "3rd..." line up with the "1st" in the word document so it even looks cleaner than pasted here.
-
yes i'm sending in all photocopies of everything except what had to be signed recently. i have been making this thing in triplicate. one for uscis, one for fiance with originals of evidence and one for records.
ok, i think logically it should be right after the intent to marry forms. i'll list them in the table of content but only in one section.
funny how someone just affirming what you sort of think already can make such a difference. thank you

I'm nearing the completion of the I129-f Packet and making the cover page/table of contents. So far i have:
- Payment in the amount of $455.00.
- I-129F
- I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person
- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)
- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)
- Birth certificate (Petitioner)
- Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
- Proof of having met in person in the past two years
- Proof of ongoing relationship
question is, i have divorce papers to include.
1 mine: *english
2 her's: *english (Beneficiary)
*english translation, certificate of translator, and arabic original (Beneficiary)
would i put them all under one category (divorce papers) or break it up? i could put a mostly blank page with a simple description between them to separate.
just stuck on placement and how to section it. thank you for any suggestions.

ok thank you all. i emailed the consulate in Oman and her brother is going to call/visit them when he can to ask also. This would be great if it's up to a year
-
i'd complete the timeline, but we are still working on the i129-f packet. we like to be ultra prepared but didn't realize police papers would have an expiration date. we are shooting for sending out the i129-f this monday (fingers cross) so excited yet somewhat frazzled!
-
ok another question from me. we've jumped the gun and fiance got some police papers while i was visiting her in april.
How important is it that they be less than 6 months old at the interview? One police report says it expires in october 2010. i'd hate for her to have to reapply and spend more money for these documents.
-
ok passport issue is a null issue, just realized the forms don't ask for a passport number. so as long as she renews it before coming to america she's fine.
thank you lore&dusty for the blessing. her passport is her id, and it's iranian. she will NOT go back there, and it doesn't have her address anyway. but a good suggestion non the less.
-
ALSO, it's just been revealed to me her iranian passport expires in october 2011. it can take months for her to get a new one. if i file now with one set of passport numbers and she gets a new passport, can we change the info to reflect that?
-
Hello, my fiance does not have a proper address nor receives mail. Her apartment doesn't have an address. to top it off she'll be moving close to october. i'm still working on the 129f. how do i get the forms sent to her after she moves? she's living in lebanon right now, i put her address as lebanon but country she'll be apply for a visa as Muscat, Oman. Will this be a problem? Does it require an explanation supplement? how do i make sure documents and forms are sent to her after she moves?
this has me stressed out! her residency in lebanon is up in october and so we know she is moving then.

i'm interested in the answer to this as well. we mostly talk on skype or yahoo voice also.
Is VERMONT on fire now?? (fast responses)

just sent ours to VSC yesterday. so i'll provide stats as well. would be nice to be able to provide a quick timeframe to those who want/need it. if ours goes too quickly, we'll have to delay it by not sending in paperwork after NOA2 for a little bit. she is moving at the end of october to another country and we need her interview, etc at the new location.
best of luck to everyone!
