No underscoring, hyperlinks
No that was part of the problem as to why the old data base was corrupt. They had to stay put. And as there is a lot of valuable info in many of those posts.....this was the only way. That's too bad. There has to be a way, otherwise this is a virgin forum. I can see using the links as reference, but the continuity of the thread will be lost, if people cannot quote. Wookie is a wizard, I'm sure he'll figure it out

If one tries to enter chatroom, then clicks on view recent posts above the chat screen, it takes you back to the OLD FORUM, visajourney archive forum.

I am sure Ewok and the Wookster will get it all sorted in time
All will be worked out!
I'm late to the party, but what is the purpose of posting threads pointing to archived threads, if posts will only appear in the archived forum?
Because straight up there wasnt a lot of choice and if members wanted to access them this was the easiest way....and the links to threads that were long that members would want to retain where put in same titled thread....and they would just continue on in the new thread, always having access to archived thread for info.
What would you suggest as an alternative
Is there no way to migrate the threads into this forum?

The submenu, listing gallery, downloads, example forms, timelines etc, appears to have a hiccup too. First click takes you to the default forum page, where the explanation for the board redesign is discussed, then a second click takes you to the selected page in the submenu (downloads, timelines etc)
Perhaps you could add a link to the archived threads on the Global Site map page under "archive"???

'Nother ?. Why, if a member was the last to post, does "fast reply" add the next post to the previous post? Is this intentional, almost like an edit feature?
WOOW! I LOVE this fast edit thingie

Lots of questions... what's the difference between Linear+ and Standard, Default?
This had to be a hellish amount of work for you, Ewok. Kudos on finding a speedy solution, even if we're still working out some bugs!(This happened once on another forum I posted to, and it took 3 DAYS to get everything functioning again...the VJ crew pulled it off in less than a day!)
I agree, although it'll take a little adjustment, some of the new features are very nice. Thanks.

Like this for example. I'm adding to my own post. Huh?

I agree, this is a short-term fix, but I shouldn't have made it appear that quoting is the only issue. Searching is severely limited, since if performed here, it will not pull from the archive.
