uscis got me confused...i'm glad me and my husband decided to go to the nearest SSA here in our area regarding my SSN (solved)... now we called up uscis regarding my follow up med many times but then no return call from them....i chatted to one of vj members that underwent to same medical as mine (sputum/culture test in phils)..she told me that uscis mailed her a notification referring on her med where/whom to go for her follow up medical...what she did is she went to that office find the doctor and submit her cd xray and vacc form...

  3. Hi fellow VJ's,

I arrived here in US last Dec. 30, 2010. I'm worried and confused at the same time regarding my follow-up check up here. My questions are: It is obliged to followup my medical here? What if i failed to do it? Do I need to wait for my GC and SSN before my follow-up med? What if I will have my followup check up in one of the clinic/hospital here in our area and not to health department? So that in time I will apply a job I will show my recent medical record and also in time will remove the conditional into permanent resident.

Please I need your advise. :help::help::help: thanks in advance. God bless us all!

  6. To all Vj members,

I apologize to all of you my vj friends for the LATE posting/sharing my interview here. I hope you understand me guys :innocent: but i know you all understand

As I'm done with my interview last Dec 15, 2010, I want to share my unforgettable experiences.

    4:00am arrived at USEMBASSY manila

5:30am the guard informed us (all immigrants that scheduled 6:30am) to get inside

the guard took my 1st appointment letter (emailed by NVC) together with my new appointment sched which I did online

Then I waited 15 mins to get inside..we lined up inside the immigrant section. The lady asked me if I have ds230 printed then I said yes then she took it and give me my number. (6016) unforgettable # hehehe

As my number appeared on flashboard I go to window 22…

Pre-screener (she is Filipina) she is so nice. I felt comfortable talking to her. She asked me the following:

    • Who is your petitioner?
    • How old are you?
    • What is the name of your petitioner?
    • How old is He?
    • Is this your first to be married? How about Him?
    • Do you have any kids? How about Him?
    • Do you have any photos together?
    • Do you have a copy of your Certificate of marriage?

She is so nice. She said her good luck for my final interview.

I waited 10 mins for my name to be called to fall in line in finger scanning in window 15. The lady asked me to state my fullname and my date of birth. After that the lady that assisting us (doing the finger scanning) told me to go to waiting area for final interview.

After 15 mins my number flash on to window 44. She is American, I think her age is 26-30 yo. She let me raise my right hand and swore that all i will be stating is true. There are the questions that she asked me:

    • Who is you Petitioner? His name? His age?
    • What is your name? Your age?
    • When did you get married
    • Are you living alone? (in this question she asked me took me for another interview) which took me almost 4 hours (coz there are some questions concerning my nephews.

She told me to wait outside for my name to be called. I was so worried coz I'm expecting the magic coming from her "visa approved" I didn't heard those words. But I thank her instead.

My name was called at window 33 (If im not mistaken) the guy told me that I need to have another follow-up interview. So i went to the office that the guy instructed me to go. There are lots of offices inside in the corridor I saw the lady approached me asking my name. And she let me go inside her office..she gave me 2 pages of questionnaires (back to back) all my hubby's infos and mine too. It focuses on my information about me, my parents, my sisters, brothers, nephews etc.

The lady forwarded me to a guy in the next door. He asked some questions about my nephews which I answered and defended. At around 2:30 he forwarded to American Consul (guy) for interview. He let me swore that the statements that I made is true and correct. Then he told okey "tapos na tayo" (We're done). Then the guy that facilitated me took me to exit door. While we're on the corridor I asked him if hows my interview and he told me its okey I'm sure you'll do fine and I think your visa will approve soon just wait for the a call from embassy to informed you. I was not happy enough I left the embassy not sure of the status of my visa. Finally my day is done at 3:30pm. As I went home I told to my husband about what happen in the whole day of my interview day. The following Monday, Dec 20, 2010. My husband called up usembassy manila to know the status of my visa. As I saw him (in webcam) smiling while talking to live operator. Then after he put down the phone, he said its approved! Thanks God!!! The operator told him that my visa is just printed as of today, December 20, 2010 and need to wait for 7 to 10 days to be delivered. Yehey!!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance:We're finally done with our visa journey.:dance::dance:

I'm so thankful to vj site as well as vj members. Thank you so much guys. You're all part of our journey. God bless you all!!!:D:D:D:whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

The consul saw on our chat logs about concerning my nephews who used to live or took their vacation with me. it says "I let my nephews taste vodka". which is im not that one did that but their mom. Thats was i defended and explained my side as their Aunt. sometimes you cannot undo what you;ve already type.

  8. yeheyyyy!!! thanks God finally i'm done with the most difficult part of this process which is my medical!!! anyway as i said last time i will update my post here... Here it goes...

SLMEC told me to report at 8am and need to bring my passport, med receipt and appointment letter. I arrived there at exactly 8am this morning...I presented my passport together withmy med receipt to the guard..He stamped my receipt (for immunizatiion) and he advised me to go to 2nd floor for my immunization..i waited for my name to be called..then the doctor in the immunization interview asked me when is my last day of my MP...then she told me that my pregnancy test is already expired so they need to get my urine for pregnancy test and she said i need to pay P495.00 then i go up to 5th floor to pay the said amount. then went to 4th flr for urine collection..after in a min the lady gave me the receipt (pregnancy test) done and told to go to 2nd floor for immunization...at 2nd flr i waited 10 mins for my name to be called for be immunized..i got 2 shots (in my left and right arm) after that the nurse told me to go to ground floor to releasing counter for the final journey of my med history hehehe... after 4 hours of waiting ..thanks God i was released hehehehe...the lady gave me the CD xray result with immunization form..finally i go out with a smile while my stomach is in pain for some reason (super gutom na gutom na ako as in grabe!) ....take taxi going home! bye bye SLMEC!

So that was my unforgettable/difficult experience that I had ..... but then I'm so thankful coz God is really good! to those still waiting for their culture result, keep healthy guys! keep the faith and stay healthy...offer all to God, no worries He won't fail us! God bless us all!!!

  9. :thumbs:hi there :-) you should be happy sis :-) .... nothing to worry about... all you need is to wait for email from NVC which is the appointment letter that stating ur interview date and time ... usually if u ask the operator they will tell you to wait 6 to 8 weeks but it wont take that long :-) .... goodluck ....think positive and keep the faith God is so good to all of us!

  10. I'm a bit late share my case here :)

My 3 days smear test was turn out NEGATIVE (thanks God) ..it was held last oct 5-7 ... culture test result will end on dec 2... i was advise to call for follow up the result on dec 6, 2010.

Its my 2nd week now  !

Guys stay positive...keep praying! God is good all the time..He wont fail us im sure of that  ...God bless us all!

  11. Really now I am nervous. Did you bring any old film with you? Does Vitamines and Milk help Lungs? She has a cousin who is an X-Ray tech at UP I will have her speak to him. I was hoping she would be going this monday but she has some training she wanted to attend on Tuesday and Wen. of this week so that means she again is pushing things off till the last moment. Drives me crazy!!!

I showed them my previous x-ray and also certifications from our company physician they dont mind it ...meaning they dont consider any results from outside or other clinic or hospital...SLMCEC IS THE ONLY CLINIC AFFILIATED BY USEMBASSY...my x-ray result is just abnormality TomD i dont have any spot or scar in my lungs...i cant explained the sadness ive been through..

Yes vitamins it helped and more faith prayers.... :innocent: goodluck

  12. I know and I am Sorry for missing your March Status... :P Please forgive (F) But I am sorrier, if that's a word, that you had this set back with your Chest X-Ray. :o That SUCKS and has to be disappointing. :dead: My wife will be taking her physical next week and I hope she doesn't have any such problem. She has had them before and told me that no one has ever said anything to her negative about them. So hopefully she will show clear.

Good Luck for getting a Dec Interview. I hope your not set back any further. :energy:

Ur forgiven TomD:P ...regarding my x ray result... i had xray annually since 1994 (which is one of the benefits that the company im working) and the result every year is negative as in clear... i dont know what kind of a hightech x-ray machine does the SLMEC has..was so disappointed! but then i dont have any choice but to follow their policy and guidelines... anyway...im praying for ur wife's medical would be a successful one... take vitamins and milk  ... goodluck! God bless!

  13. Congratz on your negative smear test. :star:

You don't have much to worry about with the culture. More than 50,000 people go through St. Lukes every year. Less than one percent have active TB. Those are good odds.

    Good luck! :star:

@Tahoma,thanks a lot for that information... God bless us all!

  14. Hi guys!

Sorry for i was off on this thread .... my interview was cancelled due to my x-ray result...SLMEC saw abnormality on my x-ray. I was advised to undergo 3 days sputum test...which i did and it was NEGATIVE (thanks God) ... It was negative but then i need to wait for culture test result (its part of their SOP) first of december i need to call st. lukes to follow-up the result. (Hoping and praying for negative result too) after that i will have my vaccination and interview date...so i would say DECEMBER will be my interview month :innocent: .... Good luck and God bless us all!!

by the way TomD im one of march filers

  15. This is a follow-up regarding my 3 days sputum test.. my smear test turn out NEGATIVE (thanks God!) i need to wait for culture test result on dec 6 to call st. lukes for the result.

Now i can say that st. lukes didnt consider any certifications or results from other clinic center or hospital coz i presented to the doctor all what i've got but then they refused for consideration.

Now im still hoping and praying for NEGATIVE result of my culture test. Then i could have my vaccination and interview date :-) :innocent: thanks everyone for ur adviced and opinion... God bless us all!!!
