Sorry about not responding, been offline for a while and kind of down with the wait on medical. Congrats on your medical!!!!! How'd the interview go?? Best wishes on that and you may need a copy of the 864 at the interview......my wife has all the paperwork from the beginning. Good Luck!!

Just got Elsa's results on the sputum smear.....negative. She'll get her clearance on May 17. Wish us Luck and best of luck on your Mrs.'s medical!! :-)

just find a moderator and they'll move it for you. Go to the forums on top of page, go down past all the topics and there'll be a blue bar with moderators (in white letters) choose one to IM and request your question in off topic be moved to the Philippine forum

Keith, may want have a moderator move your question to the Philippine forum....you'll get better answers from those who have been there

She can bring her phone. Just called the wife at the hospital while she was waiting. The US embassy doesn't allow phones.

True I'm just trying to stay strong now...she's not doing too well with it as of last night, understandably. She got to St. Lukes at 6am the first day, Monday and they requested her back at 2pm on Tuesday. I'd plan for a tuesday, then if, heaven forbid, your wife has to do the culture, she can finish in one week and then travel back to the province or do her CFO. Monday's are bad...

That would probably be nice of them...manila can be a cold town and it's very busy.

it just worked out that my wife was off work Monday. She ended up #63 and they had lumped New Zealand, Canada and other country immigrants in one big pile for the physical. Pretty much like a cattle chute process , not very pleasant for the Mrs. Hope mid week turns out better for you and her.

1st day was ok but had a 5 1/2 hour wait for the physical. She goes in5 hours for the second part. They had her come in at 2pm. Hope that's good news!

sorry about the link, not sure how to copy it. It's the IV package and what's to be brought to the interview in manila. 3 to the interview and 4 for the medical. I'll include the link to the medical: http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#medical-fees

The same day as we received the interview. about 4 hours later, but I think it was coincidental. Good Luck!

I called the operator, she said case closed and they're waiting on the interview set up. See you in Manila!!
-
got a sign in failed too.....case closed and they're scheduling an interview in manila sometime, probably April......Whhoooo hhhooooo!!

Nothing to worry about....I did the exact same thing. Just when they finish processing the AOS, the officer doesn't have the 230 so they request it. Our 230 has been there a week and a half and in process from what I know. Time will tell. But it's not an easy wait. So close. I posted on NVC forum about Sign in Fail at the NVC site online. Put in a extra letter and got a sign in fail...

So far so good.....NVC is getting backed up so I hope things don't slow down too much. Best of luck with your journey!!

Mabini Mansion is fairly close to the embassy and is pretty reasonable/safe. PAL has the best rates I've found for travel. Cebu-Pacific is a bit high IMO. Looks like it'll be about $120 usd for the airfare if it's done in april on PAL. Agoda.com has Mabini mansion at $31/night. Let me know if this is any help. Always use the Yellow metered cabs.

http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#medical-fees....this is where I'm getting my info. Is the mnl letter the same as the instruction letter from NVC? Hope so because mine was mailed out on the 17th. I can scan it, send it to the wife, and have her print it out. Hopefully they'll take a copy.....good luck with the passport issue, it's a headache for sure. We've been t...

Sorry about dropping the conversation ball, I believe you need to wait for an appointment letter from nvc before St. Luke's will let you do the medical.
