  3. Thanks to all the ones who wished me good luck yesterday. My conditional residency was approved yesterday! :) , the officer told me that it was conditional for two years, because my marriage was very recent. I will need to apply to remove the conditional status in two years ( 90 days before my GC expires). He said that the benefits are the same, between the conditional and permanent card. The interview took about 1/2 hour and he asked general questions about our relationship and families, he was very nice and overall went very well. It was easier than what I was expecting. I wish good luck to all of you, and I keep you posted when the GC arrives. Timeline: 04/02/2010 - Sent to Chicago Lockbox

    04/06/2010 - Packet Delivered 04/13/2010 - Acceptance confirmation received by e-mail for all 3 forms 04/14/2010 - Checks cashed 04/17/2010 - NOA1 received

    04/21/2010 - Biometrics letter arrived

    04/22/2010 - Walk-in Biometrics done

05/13/2010 - Received letter for interview

06/14/2010 - Interview and conditional residency approved for two years

    Congrats to you! Godbless :star:

  4. Hmm.. Just a bit confused here guys. Whatever comes first, if you received your EAD card first then you can apply for SSN to work. But what if your interview date comes first. And they did put a stamp on your passport or send you your temporary greencard after a few weeks. Is that also acceptable to apply for SSS? And I think Ive read in some post you can use already the stamp on your passport to apply for a social number? ;)

  6. Hello guys.. Just wanted to ask if you had a similar situation. I send the RFE response using express mail waiving the signature confirmation. Since its a PO BOX. So they can just drop in there.

Today it was delivered but it says "We attempted to deliver your item and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice". Maybe the post office person didnt see that I waive the signature.

Do you think the guys at the immigration will pick it up? Im getting a little paranoid over here.

Oh. Scratch that. I called the Post office. They did waive the signature. Everything's good. :star:

Just wondering how long before they send you an email that they received the RFE? Would it be the same day they received your mail?
