  1. AH , Goodluck on tomorrows interview... As of 9 minutes ago my Judy's flight left the ground from Manila .....:dance: 24 hours to go and in my gal's arms again... I love you little booger...lol

Oh my gosh awwww so happy for you guys. Best of luck!! :star::star:

hey everyoneeee so I got an update...I went to go sign in and i got SIF!!!! finally! I called NVC to make sure and the opertator said they completed the case on March 10th and are waiting for Montreal to schedule an interview. Ahhh finally it feels so good to have come this far! :star: Good luck to everyone!

  2. Really! I'm not sure why we had it.....they must have updated it like you said. It was a hassle that part, my hubby couldn't really remember the supervisors names he had to take a little break to find it.

I'm so annoyed with NVC right now!! we mailed everything in and then they sent a email saying we have to do the electonic DS-260 , and I called before my hubby completed it to see if we had to scan and resend everything in because we already mailed it in, and the operator said no , he just needs to fill it out online. Then couple weeks later we get a email saying to send everything in , and scan it and email it. I was like whoaaa I already asked about that, anyways I called NVC and explained and the operator told me to email NVCINQUIRY and explain what happened and see what they can doo. So I emailed and March 7th got a reply saying "Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review has been completed."

So we don't really know what that means or whats going on now ... ughh sucks waiting. HOpe everyone else is doing well! :star:

  3. Ughhh I'm so upset, Im waiting on the phone to speak to an operator! NVC emailed us last night a checklist response letter , they want all of the documents all over again! All of my hubbys IV stuff. We already mailed it in! Oh the operator just got on ....she says to email NVC and the electronic office that we already mailed the stuff in and see what they say. this sucks! Anyone know where I can get the electronice email address?

  4. Hey everyone just want to say first I'm sorry I didn't post anything sooner we've been so busy this week and it's been going by fast, we are just enjoying each others company after being apart for so long!

The interview went really well I think here's a recap

We got there around 2 hours early and went to a bistro a block over to rest a bit since it was cold and raining outside, we got some soup for lunch and talked a bit about the paperwork and feeling a little nervous, but we were both pretty confident and reassuring each other that we'd do fine.

We left the restaurant about 20 min before the 1:30 interview time and waited at the gate, there were already several people there also waiting for security to let us in, they came exactly at 1:30 to open the gate. The security let those without electronic devices go first in line (me and Geert already knew about this and left everything electronic behind except our passports and paperwork.) We had an umbrella which they put aside for us to pick up later.

When we walked inside we also had to walk through a metal detector before getting into the office, but got through it quickly enough. When we finally got inside they told us to go to window number 6, we waited in line a few people were ahead of us. When we got to the window there was a nice lady who we handed Geerts passport and interview letter over to. She also gave us our original documents and medical exam stuff (I think it included the x-ray on CD also), she was looking at our paper work that was sent by NVC saying that it looked like everything was in order (complete) we tried to hand her 2 more passport photos, but she said they had enough =). She also had Geert sign the II part of the DS230 sworn statement and took his fingerprints on the bio-scan. After that she told us to go sit down and wait till we were called by the consular officer.

We waited awhile it was a bit too warm in the consulate so we actually sat by the door to catch a breeze with people coming in lol, they had a beverage machine too so we got some water. I think we waited a little over an hour when they finally called Geert's last name we got up together and walked up to the window number 7. Our consular officer swore us both in to conduct the interview, and surprisingly only asked a small amount of questions we even saw a red stamp of pre-approval on the large stack of paper work sent from NVC (I think that was the first good sign). Some of the questions asked was

    Do you have any children?

Have either of you ever been arrested?

Where did you meet? (he asked a bit more in detail about this I offered to show him our game accounts that we played but he said no that was fine, we told him the name of the game Ragnarok Online and that it was a multi-player game etc, that we had been both playing the game for several years..)

He asked my husbands last visit to the U.S.?

These were pretty much the main questions he asked and we saw him flipping quickly through the paperwork (probably just to reaffirm everything, I could even see copies of bonafides in the stack of papers.)

We didn't have to grab a single paper from all the stuff we brought which was fine with me it was mostly just copies of everything and some new bonafides in case something had been lost, so I guess we gave enough evidence from front loading the petition

which I feel good about, we were there around 3 hours in total I think.

The Consular officer said everything looked fine and that if there was any problems that they would call us and that the papers should arrive within 2 weeks , (we found out from Geerts parents that they already arrived at his house on Tuesday so that was quick.)

After that we immediately left to go back home and got ready for our valentines dinner date, it was a lot to celebrate =)

Anyways I hope everyone else who's interview came up was a successful one and I wish everyone else the best of luck, we are going to enjoy the rest of our vacation before I have to go home unfortunately Geert can't come with me yet he still has to finish packing his things there's a lot to finalize before his final move to the states, so hopefully he'll be in the U.S. before the end of March =).

Sounds good! SO happy for you guys, you deserve it....wow I remember back in May when we were all just starting out, feels good to know some of us are coming near the end! :star: Congrats! =)

  5. Ohh, good answer for the unemployment! If you don't mind, I'll use that answer since I'm unemployed as well and have been trying to figure out a good answer for that one. And for the vaccine one, yeah, I was just gonna write that I've had a vaccination record since I was born and that all vaccines have been recorded by a health professional.

I don't mind! Use it! We were just sitting there like uhhhhh lol what do we put lol

  6. Hello everyone! Hope all is well. Im currently in Canada visiting my hubby. Booger, Jen and Greet, congrats on your progress so far! So happy and excited for you guys. :star:

I don't know why but I decided to randomly check on the USCIS status lol from way back then and it still says Request for evidence response review....although we still got our NOA2 it's just bugging me lol.

Some updates my hubby got his fingerprint style police check in the mail today! and it came back clear!! yay! And we both got an email from NVC , got a checklist that he has to fill out the EP application online so we did that yesterday..took 2 and a half hrs!! blah. Called NVC and told the operator that we already mailed in the IV and supporting documents do we still have to scan and email them and she said no, just fill out the DS-260 online and submit.

Other than that we are just waiting on sif. Hopefully all goes well.

  8. I'll remember to save often.

Yes, I remember seeing that explanation box for vaccines. Which I find ridiculous. What's the point of explaining why you have had vaccines? Some of the places they have an 'explain' box completely baffles me. Like, for example, I saw that if you choose you're currently unemployed, an explain box appears. Do you really need to explain why you're unemployed? blink.gif

HAHAA that happened on mine because im currently unemployed and my parents are co-sponsours we live in the same household....and the box appears right and were like ummm okay ....I was like #### it we just put in currently looking for employment. lol

And the vaccine one he put I have my vaccanation record. They know everything already they just want to catch someone in a slip up or something stupid like that.

  9. That's good! Just make sure to click save after you complete each page! because a few times we were getting some info and the page just expired without reaching 2omins...and he had to re-type the freaking info again...so annoying. And it also asks something like , Do you have vaccanations that comply with U.S. requirements. When you click yes...a box appears and asks you to explain. Ohh and there is a what do you intend to do in the U.s.. if you click other a box appears there and asks you to explain.

  10. You're welcome! Wow, 2 hours? I've looked at the screenshots of the DS-260 and have all my answered prepared ahead of time, so I'm hoping it will take under 30 minutes.

It was mostly hella easy ........ just my hubby had to look for the address and name of supervisor for the previous employers for ten years, and telephone #'s. And just to let ya know it gives an option of do not know for name of previous employer. And when it asks for previous dates of visits and dates of previous employment my hubby wasn't sure on the exact day so he just put month and year....it allowed for the day section to be blank. I'll telll ya though it wants the address of freaking everything.

  11. The answer would be no. It's asking if the spouse is immigrating with the beneficiary. But in IR-1/CR-1 cases, the spouse is the US citizen, so they would definitely not be immigrating. I hope this clears it up.

I still don't understand this question. Who is the question for? It's an application FOR the beneficiary, so why are they asking the beneficiary if his spouse is moving to the US? His spouse IS in the US sponsoring him to COME there, not accompany him now or at a later date. Is this a question for the applicant? Why is the applicant being asked a question on a form filled out by the BENEFICIARY!? If its talking to Her (in the US and sponsoring Him) then its a yes. If its talking to Him (outside the US and being sponsored) then why are they asking this!?

  12. Hey everyone, so my hubby and i are filling oout the DS 260 right now and there is a stupid question under Family Informatin: spouse. We answered the questions about my birth and employment. Now its asking IS YOUR SPOUSE IMMIGRATING TO THE U.S WITH YOU? yes/no ......we are confused who the question applies too because the benf fills the ds 260 out and he is immigrating to u.s. not the peti lol .....so what would we put?

thankyou! btw if we select yes it puts nothing if we select no it adds IS YOUR SPOUSE IMMIGRATING AT A LATER DATE TO JOIN YOU ? YES/NO

  13. Hi there!

I had a jury summons before I came to Canada visiting my hubby! The summons was for Jan 25th and my ticket to visit was for Feb 1st ...to close if I were to get picked. Anyways I ended up calling and my group got cancelled. It was my 3rd freaking time!!

You could try postponing for 90days its feb now if your expecting an interview in march it would be postponed till after that.

    Good Luck! :star:

  14. Hello everyone! I've been reading this forum over to understand more of EP. lol

I sent in my AOS packet and they already recieved it and put it in the system, same with my hubbys IV stuff. Now on FEB 1st we got a RFE in our emails saying the benf has to fill out the DS-260.

Our main concern is the documents, we already mailed them in and hope that we don't have to email them! What do you guys think? I'll be calling NVC today to ask some questions though.

    ThankkYou! :star:

Sooo a little update ......I just called NVC and the lady said my hubby has to fill out the DS-260 then everything will be complete. He dosen't have to scan or email any documents because they already have them. So that makes us feel better.
