Honestly, I do not recommend anyone get tickets in advance, it just adds stress you don't need. My mother is ill, I have to get back. Other family members are caring for her at the moment, but I am needed ASAP. If you can wait until you have everything in hand do so, then shop for the best fare.

PS: I checked yesterday and the fares are the same as when I booked about 14 days ago. I don't know why this is, usually they increase, maybe it is a time of year thing. If you absolutely have to book, I would say 14 days is still good, but...???? it is a risk.

I am trying to book a flight thru PAL. They are saying that they need the visa to finalize my booking. Did you pay online that's they didn't ask for your visa number? The thing is why should they worry if I have the visa or not. I will pay for the ticket anyways right? Anyways, I really hope to get the visa sooner since I need it to get my PAG-IBIG contributions. Hehe

Would it be more beneficial to take a hotel room near St. Lukes? and with your interview would you write about your experience regarding it? Thank you and Merry Christmas to both of you.

I can do that, but much will depend on the province where your fiancee lives, holidays and weekends. I'm not sure you can be certain on a time frame for delivery in the Philippines. Make sure you also allow enough time for your fiancee to attend her required pre-departure seminar. http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=234&Itemid=33 She will not be allowed to leave the country unless she has attended.

i got my fiance' a appointment finally online, we been trying since November, every time we called that PLDT number or the Visa call center service we always got the same reply " no vacancies available as of this time" I hope this online appointment works, i did get a confirmation letter. Has anyone else tried this before?

They told me mine was sent to Manila the same date as yours but they letter from NVC is dated Dec. 02, 2010. It reads that " your case file will be sent to the Manila embassy within 7 days".
