Sorry, I didn't see you had replied in your own topic with a follow-up. Did you send a second petition yet?

DoS= Department of state.

Congrats on visa! Fred & Liv means Peace and Life in Danish, I thought that was a sweet combo of names.

Brr!, completely understand. It's about the same here. Don't miss the autumn for sure, or "DSB - always on time" Hawaii sounds awesome, sounds like you and your fiancee have been on a few continents together. Wish you the best of luck. And thanks - VJ has been a great source of info, I'm all for making the process easier for others.

Just wanted to pop by saying welcome to VJ and hope you get an approval soon soon soon. I know it's hard waiting around. Who's the one writing, Dane or American? In any ways, good luck(held og lykke), don't hold back on any questions. The service centers were backlogged last year around the same time btw.

If you have a degree in English you can translate your own documents and just attach the "I hereby state that I, ___, am fluent in Danish and English blabalbla". Denmark(and Sweden) are pretty easy embassies to go through as long as you have the documents needed. And you're sooo welcome, it's awesome to know when there are less hiccups for fellow K1'ers Well, and to keep ...

As you can see here ( http://www.sas.se/allt-om-resan/Infor-resan/Pass-och-visum/Europa/ - it's Swedish) you only need to have an ID when travelling in Norden. I'd ask them through mail/chat regardless so you have both that link and a personal reply if a copy of your passport would be sufficient along with SSN since you would have a return ticket and already showed your passport in Dk.

I went to Copenhagen but they require same translations. The pastor who originally did my birth cert. offered to do an official translation of birth cert. At the police station, you can ask for an international police report and they'll print (and sign) one in English, French, German and Danish. SAS didn't know which country I was visiting when asking about travelling with a passport co...

Hei Regarding passport, scan it and have a photocopy with you along with sygesikringsbeviset and any other state issued ID. I also brought a copy of a SAS chat session where they confirmed that a copy of passport would be sufficient with SAS at least. Anything in writing is great. Norwegian didn't accept anything less than passport, same with Cimber.

Hei Vanessa(&Tony)! I'm just officially popping by and saying hi since I keep seeing your name around in the forums. Merry Christmas //Luna.

Keeping my fingers crossed, it would be an awesome christmas present : ) Missing DK alot, randomly running into old friends means alot. The short days are hard getting used to. Where will you be living? I'm in Valparaiso - south east of Chicago. Sure know the depressing feeling of waiting around for NOA's. Just remember this is the last year you'll be waiting around without your ...

Hei there! Aww thank you, and congrats on your engagement : ) Hehe, yeah not often you see K1'ers from those latitudes. That's why the embassy changed the procedure of interviews not too many months ago too just so you're not only relying on outdated info. How far along are you guys with waiting? Held og lykke

I didn't want to go too offtopic, confuse or misguide anyone in the forum - just saying thank you for providing background info in some of the threads. It's appreciated.
