Wow, that's soon! I bet you have lots to do now then, with packing and finishing up things there! I hope all goes well for you.
I have the same problem, too many clothes and shoes! Also put lots of stuff in his suitcase twice, but I keep buying more clothes
There really isn't that much left to do. I contacted some removalists here and asked about transporting the boxes from Australia to the US, and I am really quite happy with the quote that they gave me - it is only marginally more than it cost me to move a couple of suburbs over about 6 months ago. I feel like I got ripped off then! Apparently my passport is out for delivery now, so I should have that in my hot little hands by this afternoon, and then I'll go book my flight for next week, and confirm with the removalists. Then it's just cancelling a bunch of stuff - phone, internet, etc (And as I was typing this, the courier delivered my passport, yay!) I am just way too excited now!

Yay, congratulations! That's awesome! When are you moving?
I'm working on moving too, packing boxes and cancelling stuff. I think I'm more stressed now than before the interview
Hopefully within the next week sometime - most of my stuff is already packed and has been in storage .. so I just need to cull it some more and then send it off. Karl came with me to the interview, and is going home today, I'm sending a couple of suitcases full of things back with him which means even less stuff for me to pack - mostly clothes. I have too many clothes.

Yesterday we had our interview, and we were approved. We spent most of the time waiting around as the lady that we saw first that took all our documents put our case under a different number, and then when we went up for the actual interview part the "error" was discovered and so then we had to wait for them to fix that, which felt like it took soooo much time. But when we went up the second time we were asked hardly anything it seemed, and then she handed me the little slip of paper that said that we were approved. I was so so so so happy! Now to organise moving!

It won't hurt, ours was at the NVC 4 days after it was sent. Some people say to wait 2 weeks, but by that stage ours was already at the embassy.
-
Call the NVC. After you get the new number from NVC you can track it on the ceac website with the new number (under immigrant visa).

You don't submit it to Maryland - every k1 petition goes to the texas address and then is assigned a service centre from there.

Yea I'm still the same By the way, two weeks ago my case was updated with the same old status but different date "On August 7, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F"
Did that happen to you too ?
Ours did that, so don't worry!

You need police certificates for every country that you have lived for a year or more (or 6 months if you were a citizen of that country) , so she would need a police certificate from Brazil.
Apparently you can do it online at http://www.dpf.gov.br/

Who said that you had to wait 180 days? We were approved around 5 weeks after our transfer.
-
We were transferred late june and approved about 5 weeks later. Being transferred seemed to be a good thing.
-
You'll get a notice in the mail notifying you where you were transferred to - most likely California. For us it was 5 weeks after the transfer that the petition was approved.

Hi Everyone!!!!
I just received my case number from the NVC....when i check my status online, CEAC website, it says "Your case is in transit to the consular section. Your interview date was provided to you by the nation visa center". I get the part of "your case is in transit...." But the NVC office did not provide me a interview date.....has anyone received a interview date from the NVC? Kind of confused....LOL
It's just a pre-set message, it always says that. The consulate will send you packet 3, or a combined 3/4 (with the date) depending on how that consulate does it. They will either provide you with a date or you may have to pick a date - but that depends on how they process them in your country - you'll get all the instructions that you need in the next packet.

Grats on getting your interview date! I peeked at your timeline. lol.
Yeah, the email came through later that day, figures! They sent it to my fiance's email address. I was worried because I had moved 4 months earlier, and didnt know whether that would affect anything. It had been at the embassy almost a week by that stage.
-
I am starting to get anxious as we haven't received any email yet from sydney. The status on the CEAC website states that it is "Ready". How long does it usually take for them to send it?
-
We got these notices too at the end of June online (and a hard copy in the mail around the same time saying transfer was for faster processing). Our petition was approved 5 weeks after the transfer. It was transferred from Texas to California (stated in the hard copy).

We used this program from this website: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/skype_log_view.html after looking for an "easy" way to transfer our skype calls ... you have options for what is included - we just kept the actual phone calls with duration and printed that out in the spreadsheet that it creates. (since we mostly communicate via voice and not text)

No, he hasnt moved since. He has been in Virginia the entire time, although he did move 6 months prior to that (from Georgia). I'm trying not to get my hopes up, although it is teetering on that and being worried as ours is the only case that I have seen transferred.
He hasn't spoken or contacted anyone about it, although at the start of the process he did hire a lawyer, which as far as I can tell has been a waste of money. The lawyer didnt even respond to him the last time he tried to contact him (about a month ago) which also seems a bit wrong (for lack of a better way to put it). We both don't like to make waves, but I think the waiting is driving me more nuts than him.

Do you have an online account at USCIS? If so, does it say over there that it was transferred as well?
If you mean the case status online it has the following:
"The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you."
-
Our petition was transferred to CSC almost 2 weeks ago now. The notification letter said for faster processing. It would seem strange if it were the only one =/

Yep! Flight is booked for Wednesday, 1st October. Removalists are coming to pack/pick up the things I want to take with me on Tuesday. Only 3 days to go. My mum got really upset yesterday, it has only just sunk in for her. I'm both sad to leave and excited.
