i came here june 20,2000 on a B2 visa and i've always had my social and of course it's still active but it does say i'm not allowed to work which i don't. and what do you mean what status does my SS have me under?? all i know is i still have my social and i use it all the time

Tourists are not given SSN - no reason for that. Only students, J1s are given visas.

the both of you need to fill out form G 325A and you must be honest no mater what. im thinking that he has a real social since he came on a b2 visa. your lawyer is correct. $1365 for everything. Separate checks. $355 for I-130, $930 for I-485, $80 for biometrics. I also came here on a b2 when i was little and overstayed. i recently started this stressful process lol. good luck!

your marriage certificate supposed to have a seal . just make a copy of the original marriage certificate. your translated BC must be notarized. No need to notarized taxes or W2's. You're supposed to send copies of passport ( biographical page ), Copy of Visa, Copy of I-94 front and back, Copy of Entry stamps. That's it and good luck!!!!!

if your AOS was approved then your good. No need to freak out. Now all you have to do is wait. If you're traveling outside the US, all you need is a valid passport and your GC. for work all you need is the GC... Congrats!!!

no i meant after you get your GC but i noticed you're already buying your ticket,etc

why don't you go to your consulate and get a new passport with your married name before you travel.. or bring a copy of marriage certificate,passport and GC with you.

I'm guessing you sent your AOS papers? it doesn't take a month to get your EAD. 2-3 months. never had an immigration interview but you can look at other members post to see what it was like for them at the interview.

Im sorry for what you're going through. If he hasn't received his green card, EAD, nothing yet then what are you waiting for. Can't you cancel the AOS. Get yourself a lawyer and divorce him right away.. kick him out of the house since your the one who's paying for it. Call ICE since he married you for the green card and how he's using you.good luck

there's no problem attending the interviews. you just can't work. if they do hire you, just explain it to them and ask them if it would be ok if you start after you get your EAD
