  1. Hi Im a bit of confused please somebody help me!!

should I apply for naturalization first or should I petition my daughter first????

somebody told me that if I become citizen I cant get my daughter anymore... IS THIS TRUE???

By the way my daughter is under 18 yrs. old

  2. Apple21... yes they changed my daughter's name.. i submitted her BC at Dfa but then she questioned me so I just told her to not to put her middle name and I will fix it up after i got her passport..

stealth wife...yes her father signed at the back of her BC and he doent want to cooperate to change my daughters middle name.. He want me to change my daughter name to his last name which I dont want to.. coz In my knowledge if i will change my daughter's last name to his name I need him to sign before I can petition my daughter...

He dont give any support to my daughter since she was born but he is threatining me that he will not sign the paper if I will petition my daughter..

  3. Im planning to petition my daughter but I have trouble with her birth certificate. She is using my middle name and my last name when i was single because me and my ex is not married. I went back to the Philippines last June to visit my family and to get my daughter's passport. When we are in DFA window the lady told me that my daughter should not use my middle name because it will be likely look that we are sister. So since I dont have time for fixing her Birth certificate at that moment coz I only have 2 weeks vacation I told the woman that ok just take my daughters middle name. In short in Passport she only have her name, and my Maiden last name. Now im back here in Chicago i ask my mom to fix my daughter's BC the NSO told my mom that she can use my maiden middle name because its optional to use or not.... Im worried that if i will file the petition I will have a problem because the birth certificate is different to her passport...please give me an advice ...is there anyone who have the same problem??/

    thank you

  4. Do not be confused,,first things first. Ur husband can file an I-130 for ur daughter and u can only petition your mother when u become a citizen. Why did u not bring ur daughter with u thru K2?

yeah my husband gonna petition my daughter...

    Im on IR1 visa now

so if im gonna petition my daughter she will be under IR2

I just want my mom to accompany my daughter to come here

coz i cant go back to the philippines to fetch my daughter

so im planning to apply tourist visa for my mom not an immigrant visa

    thanks

  7. hi I saw your post I was in the same boat with you before but now we are ok...your husband didnt meet the income requirements, your mother in law is your joint sponsor....

you need to make sure that your mother in law meet her income requirements depending on household size....

if she is alone she need to meet 18,300(household for 2 person) for both of you but if she have dependent then the income must be higher than that...

heres the link of income requirements

    http://www.uscis.gov/ilink/docView/SLB/DATAOBJECTS/I_864P.pdf

    hope this will help you

  8. heres the website where you can track your visa it comes with tracking no. or your case no.

    http://www.af2100.com/tracking/usembassy/

what happened to me is I kept tracking my visa every single day since nov. 23 I even call to their hotline

but they keep telling me that my visa is still in the embassy and they haven't forwarded it yet but when I call

Nov. 25 9 am they still said my visa still not in their system yet so I asked them if their system is updated they say yes....

then nov. 25 11am a courier from air21 came to deliver my visa hehehe.... funny right??? i think their system is really upated hehehe

    congrats...

  9. its not a good idea to book a flight before her interview...

Some consular tell you that you were approved but still they will

request some additional documents specially if the documents that they have are soon to expired

that time you need to wait another week because they will review it

    thats what happen to me

after i submit documents that they need I wait 2 weeks for my visa

by the way I'm from marikina only...

i submit my documents NOV. 8 and submit my PAssport NOV. 16 they realease my VIsa NOv. 23

check AIR21 nov. 24 still not in their system

    NOv. 25 received my VISA

  10. thats what I got too...

I have my seminar and stamp on the same day Nov.30 but the only difference is I paid P400 before they give the green one and put the sticker on my passport...

I think you better call your CFO office there and ask Y they dont ask you to pay P400..

so you dont have a problem wen u hop on the plane...

  11. embassy doesn't scheduled medical appointment....

but the st.lukes required to have medical 2 weeks before the interview....

    see my timeline....

What should she bring to her medical examination?

    A. Appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail print out of your appointment sent by the Call Center. (she need 3 photocopy of this)

    B. Appropriate medical examination fee.

    C. Passport (valid for at least 6 months)

    D. Two colored pictures (2 inches x 2 inches) with a white background

    E. The medical exam fee is U.S. $213.35 for adults (15 years and older) and U.S. $185.35 for children (under 15 years of age). ( they convert it to peso....)

  12. we both in the same situation the only different is that i already done my interview my husband meet the 125%income requirements too but they still looking for a joint sponsor....I dont even know why!!! so now I got a blue slip and looking for a joint sponsor... hope you find your co-sponsor coz they will not accept anything rather than that co-sponsor....

i try to go there and explain that he already meet the income requirements but still they insist that co-sponsor is what they want

  13. do you have to finish the CFO class before you get your visa? My wife hasn't gotten her passport yet, so do we get her passport and then go to the CFO? or do we go to the CFO and then get her passport? Where do we get a passport? thank you for anyone who can help me figure this out :)

you can go to cfo to take the seminar even without her passport but you still need to go back to CFO office after she get her passport with visa coz they will stamp it...they will not stamp it without her visa

  14. i was interviewed last August 5, 2010 unfortunately i was not approved..

the consular told me that my husband didnt meet the income requiremnets so he ask me to have a joint sponsor

its been a month but we still dont have a joint sponsor

my husband is $1000 behind the income requirements and can meet the income requirements this Oct.

I went to the USEM yesterday to asked them if my husband pay stub indicating he already meet the income requirements

but the woman on Window X told me that they cant accept it because they are looking for a joint sponsor not my husbnd pay stub :(

even my husband meet the income requirements...

We are really depressed because we thought we gonna be together soon

Now that we dont have a joint sponsor,we cant be together even he meet the income requiements..

does it mean we cant be together forever?

    please help us

I would really like to hear your side and advices

coz now we dont know where we gonna start... :crying: :crying: :crying:
