    H Loto, I thought you might know this...what do you have to do after you come in the country to get green card? We went and applied for the SS card yesterday and they said that we should get the card by middle of December (he said you have to wait for 10 days after your POE in States)...thx

      You have to file the AOS paperwork once you are here in US and after you are married. Some months of wait, and then you may get an interview or if your case gets transferred, best thing ever.

      I just received the welcome letter. The GC follows a few days after the welcome letter.

      And, check your case status on USCIS website.

      Not if you are Cr-1 /ir-1...If you are either of those the Greencard will automatically be mailed to you after you poe

      Yes your timeline says you are a cr-1/ir-1. I am currently waiting for mine to come in the mail :)

    Hi AK205 congrats. My wife has interview on 19th also at Mumbai consulate. She scheduled her medical for Oct 25th. Once she receives the Medical she will go to VFS office in A'bad and pay the courier fee (I told her to give them original IF they ask for if not she will be hand carrying with her at the interview). I think you can pick-up the PP/Visa same day in mumbai embassy...

      yeah, thx I didn't think that was good idea either but man it's my wife's b'day coming up this week than we passed our one year anniversary and she feels like like nothing is going our way...but I got keep her happy and it's not easy

    wonder how do you check the track by reference on DHL...is this avalible after NVC set-up the interview date?

      it's just waste of time to check that or to track!! u will show up when ur date comes.. there is no benefit to check it and the fact is u wont know which package is your and u will be just frustrated was taht mine? or some one else? lolz..

      yeah, true dat...I guess i got too much time in my hand...but i didn't knew that it was all the packages together not just individual one..anyhow u right though it aint worth it...just need to hold it donw...;-)
