Hola a todos, yo quisera saber, es necesario que mi novia mande apostillar algun documento cuando viaje para el consul??, en el dia de su cita? ademas yo tengo mi certificado de nacimiento aca de los estados unidos que saque en el 2008 , yo pensaba casarme con mi novia aya en colombia, pero no lo hicimos, es necesario sacar un certificado de nacimiento mas reciente?? muchas gracias

I'm new to the forum, and if somebody can answer these questions, i would gladly appreciate it. First off, I'm petitioning a k-1 visa for my fiance in Colombia, I've already received my NOA 2 41 days after receiving my first NOA 1. my first question is:

1. Does my fiance have to have any documents with an apostille seal when she goes to the interview at the embassy in Bogota, Colombia?

2. I have my birth certificate from 2008 and i asked for it for marriage purposes because at the time i was thinking of marrying my fiance in Colombia, but decided not to, Can i Still take it to the interview or would i have to ask for a recent birth certificate of this year??

3. In 2003 my fiance went with some family trying to get a tourist visa, and they got denied, does she have to take some document stating the she got denied a tourist visa in 2003?? or they"ll see in the system that she got denied a visa??

bueno yo tengo una pregunta, a ver si alguien me responde yo le estoy solicitando a mi prometida en colombia la visa k-1, ya recibi mi NOA 2, tengo enetendido que ella le toca sacar el certificado judicial del das, ella esta en cali, mi pregunta es, ella puede sacar el certificado del das que explica que nunca ha salido del pais en 10 anos, o sea el migatorio en cali, o le toca sacar eso en bogota, otra pregunta, nadie sabe cuanto le tocaria pagar por la visa?? gracias

well as far as the first part goes, i really don't know, but the k-1 process isn't really that hard. Just gather enough evidence such as photos, emails, handwritten letters, your passport stamps indicating the date you visited him, the k-1 visa process is here at the website, you just file an 129f petition, pack with evidence, and wait for a couple months, just check out this link My link

yes, you'll need a joint sponsor, if you have a joint sponsor to comply with the limits you should have no problem. See the poverty guidelines: I-864P

I'm new to the forum, I've been reading the procedures on the k-1 visa. I'm an American citizen, and my fiancee is in Colombia, ive read the whole process, but one thing that knocks me off is, im in a part time job, not making that much, really, when i file the I-134 affidavit of support, should i already get a joint sponsor without the consulate in Bogota even asking me for it?? i fear that the consulate could deny the visa for my fiancee for that matter, also before sending in the I-129 F package, what documents should i get notarized? and this letter of intent the the USCIS wants, my fiancee doesn't speak English, can i do the letter for her, email it to her, have her sign it and mail it back to me, would there be a problem if i do that?? if im posting in the wrong part, please let me know, im really eager to know if someone can answer these 3 simple questions, i would gladly appreciate it
