  1. Hello, to all visa journey forum members, my situation is the following:

My fiancee came on a k-1 visa, we got married, but unfortunetly i havent been able to file for her Adjustment of status yet (due to $$$ issue). Its already been a full year since she did her medical exams in Colombia. I heard that if in a year you can't File the AOS, she would have to get her medical exams done again, and if thats true, what exams would need to be done again and how would i continue the process to file her AOS, if someone could help with this issue, i would gladly aprreciate it, thank you.:unsure::unsure:

  2. Hello Visa Journey members, i have a question if someone could help me with a response. The case is my fiancee came on a K-1 Visa on September 8, 2010 and on the form I-94 it says it expires on December 7, 2010 (We already got married as well). Having said that, she tried applying for a Id Card (In Florida)but the DMV office told her that she needs to renew her Form I-94 or apply for a EAD in order to get a ID Card because her I-94 is close to expiring (She went to the DMV Office on November 8 2010 today as a matter of fact)

So Can someone would be so kind to give some info, thanks.

  3. 4. Visa journey is really helpful when it comes to visas and it does save you a lot of money with a lawyer. For the member Ryna, the embassy was realy smooth, all they care about is that you have all the required documents in order, when your fiancee goes to the interview, they have your approved I-129F package right there, the interview is really short, good advice, eat a good breakfast because the wait is long, almost 5 hours, in the cold weather in Bogota, Colombia.

First off, i would like to thank visajourney.com and all its staff for its outstanding details on how to file for k-1 visas and so forth. I came to this site looking for help, looking for answers on how to bring my fiancee to the U.S. and i found it all here. This site is really helpful when it comes to the fiancee visas, the proedures, the steps, everything. My Fiancee has her K-1 VISA and we are both really excited, and again thanks to all the forum members and to the visajourney staff for all your help, thanks and god bless.

  11. well its been several days since my fiancee in Colombia faxed the DS-2100 and DS-230 part 1, but hey i guess i have to wait. Just out of curiosity, My fiancee called DAS to find out about the police certificate or "Pasado Judicial" she has one because she needed one in order to apply for a job, thing is DAS unified the Police certificate, in other words since my fiancee got hers for the sole purpose to get a job that very same one can also be used to take to the embassy. I'm still skeptical about this, at least that's what they told her through the phone, but she's going to make sure when she goes in person for her "Certificdo Migratorio"

  12. Looking at the form DS-156, there are a few questions that they ask, i want to know if someone already filled this form out, what did they put, just of curiosity to know...

Here are the questions on the form DS-156:

QUESTION 32- DO YOU INTEND TO WORK IN THE US? (IF YES GIVE NAME AND ADDRESS OF US EMPLOYER)

QUESTION 33- DO YOU INTEND TO STUDY IN THE US? (IF YES GIVE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE SCHOOL)

QUESTION 39- WAS THIS APPLICATION FILLED OUT BY ANOTHER PERSON O YOUR BEHALF?

For question 39, i would have to fill out the form for my fiancee because she does not speak English, what should i do?

  14. Hello, my fiance in Colombia is in the process already of filing these forms, this might sound like a dumb question, but hey it's good to know, Is it advisable for her to fill out the forms in English or in Spanish?? Because i don't think the embassy will force her to translate those documents when the questions are in both English and Spanish and being that she's in a Spanish speaking country. Thank You.
