  1. Not very accurate, for St. Paul, processing applications for May 19, 2008, we applied a little over two months before that date, wife has already been a USC for seven months.

It's been our experience that the I-751 posted processing date was about 6-7 months earlier than the actual processing date and about that same amount of time later for the N-400. Quite a change since we had panic during the I-751 processing and they could take their sweet time for the N-400.

If we went by the processing date on her NOA, she would have been taking her interview just about now.

What we found most disturbing, is that anyone we contacted for help, in particular with the I-751 is they go by these very inaccurate posted dates, like they are the law.

Wouldn't even bother with these dates, just watch your mail box.

Thanks, I will be checking my mail...

  2. 1. Name one state that borders Canada

    2. What freedom of religion means

    3. How many US senators?

    4. When the constitution was written

    5. What is the capital of the United Sates

    6. When must all men register for selective service

    Congratulations!

I had similar questions in my interview. 1 - Name one state that borders Canada 2- Freedom of religion 3- When the constitution was written 4- The age between when all men must register for selective service 5 - How many US senators there are . My sixth question was different but I cannot remember

  3. As you enter the building, it states no cell phones, no food, no drink, no cameras, etc... however, the guard/receptionist on post as you enter the building did not seem too concerned checking for these things.

When I had my biometrics done in Norfolk on last Black Friday (believe me someone scheduled me on that day), the first question I was asked was whether I had my cell phone with me. I was told that I need to keep it in my car.

  4. I just put together all the documents which I want to bring to my interview. Now I thought we had a checklist here in the forum, unfortunately I can't find it and for some reason I can't get the search function to work. Does anybody have a link?

    I have following originals:

My NOAs & invitation for the interview

    Greencard

    Driver's License

    Passports

    Passport pictures

Birth certificate of U.S. citizen husband

Birth certificates of U.S. citizen children

    My birth certificate

    Marriage certificate

Military orders (we were stationed overseas)

    Lease

Car Titles with both names on them

Utility bills with both names on them

Bank statement of joint bank accounts

Tax returns & tax transcripts for joint returns for the past six years

Copies of our changes of address

    Travel itineraries

Am I missing anything important? I didn't have any traffic violations. And I didn't register with Selective Service since I'm female.

Besides the last three years' tax returns and our marriage certificate and my husband's birth certificate I sent in

Health insurance policies that document that I was covered under my husband's policy (medical and dental)

Documents that show my husband is the beneficiary of my retirement and term-life insurance accounts

Lease with both our names on it

Auto insurance with both our names on it

  5. Where does it say anything about joint ownership, joint insurance, or even utility bills? But know of several people that were delayed with an RFE for not providing this information.

Yes, I am one of those who are delayed. Bring all the documents you have that supports that you are indeed married.

  6. Just an update to anyone who reads this... My husband got the TB test and even though he had the BCG vaccine as a baby, his test came back NEGATIVE! So we had the CS put that on the I-693 just in case we need it for the interview!

I also had the BCG vaccine as a kid and my TB skin test was also negative. I was worried a little bit, but relieved to get a negative result.

    Good luck on your interview!
