When my brother applied for green card he remembers sending I-20s for himself and his wife. However, he has received a letter stating that the center has not received her I-20s.
He tried to locate the I-20s, however he cannot locate I-20s for two years. He has contacted the two universities hoping they will have a copy however, as it has been nearly 10 years since he attended these two universities they stated that they do not have copies of I-20 form.
What should he do?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I am glad I was not asked to submit utility bills, because they are not under both my husband and my name.
May be you had a picky agent.

:star:When I had my interview, the lady who interviewed me did not have any assistant, so it is interesting that in your case you had an agent with an assistant.
Also, in my case I was told immediately that I needed to support additional documentation. In your case there was no mention of it.
Hopefully, you will get an oath letter in couple of weeks.
Best of luck while you are waiting.

" We pay taxes."
I had the same phrase
However, at first I misunderstood as We pay Texas (I live in Texas)

I don't live close to a center. I will call though. Thank you for your suggestion

I received two letters two days ago, both dated April 3rd. In one letter it states that the address stated in a previous letter for my oath ceremony is wrong (which I have not received such a letter). And states the new address, date and time (April 17, 10 am). In the second letter, my oath ceremony scheduled on April 17th at 10 am is cancelled and I will be receiving another mail with a new date.
I am a little bit confused. Am I safe to assume that my oath ceremony scheduled on April 17th is cancelled? Or the other letter which states that this is a second letter with a new address is the rescheduled oath ceremony?

Make sure you send bank statements, mortgage or rental on both your names, and the newest three years tax returns (I even suggest sending insurance forms, forms that show your spouse is your beneficiary in case you die, etc). Otherwise, you might be delayed (I am talking based on my experience)

You will receive it soon. Just try to be patient!

by the time i filled out the naturalization paperwork my taxes were not overdue so, on that question i select the answer NO and i already got the NOA 1 but till my interview it will definetly be overdue because i owe the state
$ 550 and dont have the money since INS sucked all my wallet and also will call the IRS today to ask them if i can make a monthly payments...
I was wondering if that would be a problem for me...?
also do we have to bring our spouses to the interview since my wife doesnt have any vacation days left till next year...i dont know what to do ...?
any idea...?
State Taxes are not due before April 1st. You can file your federal tax and file your state tax later on (that is what I am going to do - my taxes are complicated). However, I never heard of USCIS agents wanting to see State Tax returns.

How about your social security card? Have you changed your name with them?

I also photocopied both sides of my greencard on one page, so I don't think this is the reason why your application was rejected.
Go over the list and see if you included everything USCIS asks for.

Make sure you read the booklet before your interview. It is easy to forget the answers to the questions.

Hi everyone, let me share my interview experience for naturalization which took place on last Tuesday in local office in Hartford. To make a long story short I briefly explain what happened that day. Ok my appointment was scheduled for 9:40AM that day. I showed up around 9:10 and handed my letter to the window, and was told to wait for my turn. In about 15 minutes one of the officer came out for me and we went inside to his office. Everything was fine, I pass the test, however right before we were done he said something that he would like to see more supporting evidence for my marriage which I did not have at that time with me. A minute later he gave me a letter saying what to bring for the next time, then he will be able to give me the date for my oath ceremony. Now the date is scheduled for May 8th which is in another month and a half. I am ready to go anytime with more supporting evidence that I gathered next day. Now is the top question, does anybody know if there is any way to speed up that process rather than wait over a month.? I can not even express how that made me upset after waiting two months for my interview date. Please anybody who can advise me.
I am in a similar situation, and I don't know anything that can speed up things.

I just read the booklet couple of times. Most of the questions are general knowledge, a couple require memorization.
Good luck to your wife...
