  1. yep.

I think what gets to me is that if i didnt receive an RFE then i would have an October interview date. My wifes birthday is early october so i will already be there to see her at that time. Staying the whole month of october actually.

Just would have been great if she had her interview while im there in October. At this point if she gets one in early November I will be happy and most likely just stay in india till her visa arrives. Then bring her back with me. Just be a bummer if its end of November since thats a LONG time for me to stay there.

Shes not upset since she gets me there regardless. :bonk:

  2. hey Jesal what do you think how long NVC will take to actually look at our RFE.?

Our wedding anniversry is on dec 5th. 2nd one. it will be 2 years on dec 5th. i am hoping she gets visa in november and will travel to US after dec 5th. e.g. dec 7th. after doing some search i found out at POE they will change the CR1 to IR1 , and she will get 10 years GC... no headache for removal of conditions. well lets see how things go. so far for me things have been extremely delayed with this process.

    Im thinking/hoping 3-4 weeks.

After NVC received their checklist, it took 3 weeks to get a case complete. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/273461-case-complete/

So it really depends when you get a case complete and then when your consulate issues interview dates. For example i hear if my case gets complete before the 24th then i have a good chance of bombay issuing our interview sometime in early november. Which i can handle since i will be in india anyways.

  3. Hey all...so i called the AVR today and was told that there was missing/incomplete info, and a letter was mailed on 9/2. I still havent gotten it!! AND I asked them to email me any correspondance, and they haven't done that either. I'm so stressed out right now, i'm shaking. Is there any way to find out what's happening? They're closed today (of course) and i'm freaking out somewhat.

    Remember todays a holiday.

I received my RFE through email after two business days from the day the AVR stated missing documents.

You most likely get that email tomorrow.

  4. How did you get your W2s? Did you have to request it from your employer, or are my copies (or photocopy) of them are enough? Hos did you get your pay stubs? (I feel so dumb :P)

Your W2 copies are enough. You should already have those.

Pay stubs are part of your paycheck. Its attached to your check that you receive typically. Otherwise I believe you can just have your employer sign a letter of your employment.

Thanks for everyone who replied about the tax returns! So the "Federal Income Tax Return" stated in the requirements is actually the Tax Transcript?

    Yes.

Guys, who mails the DS-230/IV package? The petitioner or applicant?

I dont think it matters. My wife (beneficiary) filled out her DS230 and mailed it to me. I then sent it into NVC myself, pretty sure this is very common.

  5. Congrat's and with an RFE impressive!!:dance: Please tell me was the RFE on the AVR or did you speak to someone oh the phone who then told you? Im nervous can you tell.:unsure::lol: Just want to make sure I am checking properly my status. I havent called anyone...so far. just used the AVR

The AVR told me about my RFE and then I talked to the operator. I think you should be getting a SIF within a few days Tom!!
