whoa your noa2 approval still? Sounds common, my cousin also hasnt received her NOA2 and she sent it in around same time as you did. Well luckily NVC seems to be finishing cases within 3-4 weeks. So you wont have too long there hopefully!

Welcome back! How was the trip, tons of rain? My case is still being reviewed, i received a RFE and had to correct it. Would have been done by now if it wasnt for my mistake. Ugh. I leave for India in two weeks though!

Just SAY our case gets completed on the 9th, do you think they would have time to schedule the interview that same day or does it take a few days after that?

Be nice to get an October date but of course i wont get my hopes up. Im fine with November too.

I dont see anything in that PDF file that states about the PCC only needed for the interview.. plus that document is from 2009.

Do you have a link about bringing the PCC to the interview? I just assumed there will be an RFE since its missing from the IV package.

I mean at the local Anand station. If you have paid the $404 IV bill then you should have no problems getting the passport pcc either.

It is OK to send the DS230 without the PCC. They will just flag it and send you a checklist requesting it. Then you take that to get both PCC with no issues. Thats the easiest solution but adds extra time to the process.

Anand PCC is tricky and took my wife a lot of convincing to get it without the checklist. They really didnt take her serious until she offered money. Think she ended up paying around 1600rs for it. They did ask for a lot of documents like a copy of marriage cert, passport, voting card, etc..

Doesnt hurt to go there and try. If you arent able to get it then send in the DS230 and get ...

So starting November 1st, Air india will have direct flights to New Delhi. Instead of 23 hours for me, it will now be 14 hours. WOW.

Oh and its not mandatory to change the passport name. My wife just wanted to do it since she was excited. We did it after the I-130, no issues though since on the DS230 is asks for any aliases. We listed her maiden name there. VJ said thats the way to do it.

That checklist/RFE is emailed which is requesting PCC. With that letter you can get the PCC easily. Guess theres two options, wait till NVC sends the IV packet in the mail which can take weeks, or send in the DS230 form and wait for the RFE letter.

I think there is some confusion maybe. I didnt receive any official checklist yet. After I paid the $404, i printed out the bar code sheet and attached it to the DS230 forms that are online. Same for the I864 which they accepted already. NVC hasnt sent me any forms or checklist. What most indians have said is "checklist" is the email they send as part of the RFE. In that it states ...
