  1. It would be great to get an update on this please @Captain Ewok
  2. No earlier than 90 days before expiry of your conditional green card.
  3. I would guess they just decided to send them to everyone with a pending case - less chance of "missing" someone.
  4. Your options at this point are to either try to reach a Tier 2 agent to confirm this is a combo interview (possibly hard to actually get connected to one between now and your interview and not sure if this is even a valid reason in their eyes to get a callback), reschedule the interview, or get your spouse to change their plans. There have been enough reports of interview reschedule/missing an interview completely derailing both GC and citizenship cases, so I would strongly advise you to make this appointment work. The way to think about this is not like missing a doctor's appointment, but more like keeping driving while a police car is trying to pull you over or failing to appear to appear in court on a felony charge. All of your hard work up to this point could be derailed if you don't attend with your spouse. Best case is you show up without your spouse and they reschedule, worst case is they ding you for failure to appear and consider your case abandoned and initiate removal proceedings. None of us are trying to scaremonger here, but interview attendance is beyond critical in this process.
  5. I'd be very interested to know if their case originally showed as IOE.
  6. From what I've read you should make sure to take your spouse and then also ask the officer at the beginning of the interview if it is a combo interview. Some folks seem to have ended up in purgatory of no decision if they only do the N400 interview and don't realize you have a pending 751.
  7. I can tell you later today when my mail gets delivered. I filed in early Jan 2023 and received a 24 month letter, I have USCIS mail coming today which I assume will be the 48 month letter.
  8. Unfortunately yes. On the plus side it sounds like USCIS is now mailing out some sort of document instead of having to attend an InfoPass appointment to get a stamp in your passport. See this thread -
  9. Very few Potomac filers seem to have received extension letters so far, but it seems like some were sent out last week. It is likely that your piece of mail is an extension letter.
  10. Mine is showing as expected when I plug in the case number and when I log in to USCIS.
  11. Page 1 of 2 is also probably extension. Not sure if it is the same for I-751 approval, but I remember by I-485 approval being 4-6 pages.
  12. Typically the receipt notice and extension letter are synonymous. Not sure if there's different wording on the 48 month letter though as I haven't received one yet.
  13. Just because you got an extension letter doesn’t mean that is how long it will take. Most N400s will be processed significantly faster.
  14. I wish. My dumb DMV typically only extends driving licenses to the duration of your immigration status (I am well aware my immigration status is permanent at this point but they don't seem to be...) and so I was hoping I could avoid renewing it again in two years, having renewed it 3 times in the past 24 months.
  15. Thanks - yup I know. I was literally one of the last January filers (2023) to get the 24 month letter and hoping I'll get the 48 month one before I have to renew my driving license in a few weeks.
  16. How long had your original extension been for (i.e. when does it expire)? Hoping mine arrives this week...
  17. I'm in the same boat as you. From what I've seen it'll be a case of either filing N400 to hopefully be done before my 24 month extension expires, or calling them 60 days before my current extension expires to get a new (hopefully 48 month) letter. I'm guessing that they may start sending 48 month letters out some time in the next 4-6 weeks, based off of how long it took them to start sending the 24 month letters to people who had received 18 month letters.
  18. I think you're possibly a bit confused. The fee for biometrics is never waived (I believe you can apply for some fee waivers due to financial hardship but doubt that applies here), but many people receive a biometrics reuse notice, after their initial NOA. However, it is still possible you will receive a biometrics appointment letter - there is virtually no consistency in any USCIS processes as it relates to I-751.
  19. One addition - you need to have lived with your USC spouse for the past 3 years - "You are required to have been married to and living with your spouse for the past 3 years and your spouse is required to have been a U.S. citizen for the past 3 years." So it's greencard holder for 3+ years and the above.
  20. Which service center are you? Filling out your timeline would be helpful for other users
