  1. wow i get lucky on this lol... When i renewed my DL with 1 yr extension letter they gave me for 6 years DL .. wahahahahah

I am in NJ, When it was time to renew my license they said first that it would be until my DL expired (FEb 2013), made me sit for 20mins waiting for them to find out, call or investigate, no idea. What I know is that after that time siting down waiting they call me and gave me the license for five years and when I ask about the 90days (the first information I got) the lady said that the conditions are not in the system anymore (????!!!!) and that I got it for five years... !!!!

  2. You are right! They didn't take any pics so don't really know why I don't have to do biometrics done since it has been more than 2 years.

I guess they will ask for it before sending the new Green Card...hope they won't ask me to pay again for biometrics then!

    Thanks for your answer!

    Jo

I have a friend that didnt had to do it either, dont worry... she got her alien resident card withing three months from the ROE being sent

  3. Filed Dec 5 with the VSC, got our NOA in the mail yesterday dated Dec 10.

I went to the USCIS website to try to "Add a case to your portfolio" and also used the "Check my case status" functions, but the case number listed on our NOA doesn't come up in either yet. I tried it with and without dashes and included the "EAC" for Vermont. Maybe it just too early for it to appear online? Anyone else noticed that yet?

Hi, in the letter said you have to wait for your Bio app to have your case number and be able to look at it online, that is not your case number on your NOA...

  4. Once you receive AOS you don't need AP or EAD for anything.

    Congrats hunny! Happy job hunting!

Thank you Les. I honestly always been pick after interview, so i am not expecting anything less than getting that job, if not at least they gave me the chance in getting my first interview in USA... it was a good experience.

I felt soooo happy walking by myself in NY streets, with my formal attire (i worked with a uniform in DR) and just thinking how much my life has change in this past year; change my last name, living with my now husband, left my family and friends in DR, my beloved job because honestly I did love what I was doing in DR in the airline, and just going another direction from what I was doing back there... Probably everybody feels the same...

  5. My case resumed two days after they received my RFE. But I have not had any touch since then. Good luck!

Received AP today. Hubby is going to Fedex it to me

Now down to AOS only. Hope to hear some news soon :clock:

I got my EAD card yesterday... a little confuse just because is for one year... after i get my GC, i dont need the EAD? i am just guessing that because i see that for the ROC there is no document like now for employment authorization? i feel silly asking but no clue.

  6. Good luck girlie!!!!!!!!!

Oh I am sorry i didnt write it well, it is a Job interview, i think it when well, the told somebody that they really like me, so i have hight expectations, i made them lough a lot, or is the accent? lol.

    Loh:

i went to Elizabeth and unfortunally they dont accept walk-ins, at least that happen to another Visa Journey member so i didnt even try... Oh and they where really nice, try to get earlier than the time it says on the letter, mine said it was at ten, we got there at eight and there was soooo many people, but maybe on yours it will be empty, we never know, but i can promise you, they were really nice to me... and professional.

  7. Didn't you get you EAD approved already? That means you fingerprints are okay and that's why they approved your EAD. I might be wrong

    CQ & CS:

Correct me if i am wrong you guys, but about your case that wasn't transfer or no interview, i saw a few cases that where not transfer and after they got the EAD approved they got the interview letter not far from there... So probably if you are going to have an interview is on its way with the EAD, is my humble opinion...

  8. Hello, my daughter's fiance finally got his visa from the UK to come to the US. He is from Zimbabwe but living in the UK. Now that he has his visa to come to the US he will get married. My question is once they get married, he wants to go back to Zimbabwe with his wife to visit his family. Will that be a problem? Who can help me to answer this question?

After they get marry they need to apply for an AP, thats advance of parole, takes some time to get approved, but without that he will not be able to travel before he becomes a resident with conditions.

  9. So for the RoC we need even FURTHER proof that we're married?? Do they want my first born as well??? Geesh!

    And thanks Les!

The forms to filled are less but you have to get witnesses, bills together, taxes file together... a lot of stuff and is for ten years... is too much things Jesus!!!

I have tomorrow an interview, if you believe in God please pray for me, if not wish me luck, lol.

  10. That is just absolutely ridiculous!!:no::no: How is one day gonna make any difference? I have been calling around today to get quotes for how much it will cost and they are so outrageous!! One said 300 other said between 600-1000$ lol How do they sleep at night!!

After i came to the Country i got my medical again, i paid 310usd... i agree that i dont get why they make you paid for something in my Country which for some reason is not "complete" when you get here... i heard a lot of people with the same problem...

  11. Happy Valentine's Day my fellow Feb filers! Hope you all have a great day with your loved ones!(L)

I have great news! My AOS & EAD were approved on the 11th & my AP on the 12th! :dancing:

Congrats!!!!!!! now you dont have to deal with that stuff for two years, yayyyyy for you!!!

In other hand i got flowers too!!!! my first time, not counting my dad for my 15th birthday (is like the sweet sixteen here)... looking for work now...

  12. hey solmarc,

thanks for your comment and yes i hope its only something simple!!!! fingers crossed for that!!! but im not the only one whos case got transferred to csc and a month later receiving a rfe. saw you got transferred too, hope you get approved right away....lets first see what that rfe is all about =)

I think it will be something simple, i have seen it a lot for the K1 visa, for silly things like a signature they send it back, so don't worry it will be simple, at least they are looking at your case, for one part that's good news. My 485 haven't been touch, just my EAD approval yesterday, that's it.

    Now more waiting, lol.

Let Us know what was the RFE about, there are more cases that got an RFE and that will be helpful.

    Big hugs...

  13. Glad to hear from you, solmarc! I post in the January AOS thread but it's not the same as this place, you guys are my VJ family, donkey and midget and all. Hi you guys, after all that waning yesterday i got my EAD approved just now, yupiiiiiiiii yayyyyyyy finally.
