Wow, there are alot of people getting RFE, just reading some of them, all of us got the same letter... what is going on ? lol

Also, if you, say, went to the dentist (same dentist, that is), you can go and print out the claims. I think you said you have MetLife? Their website is pretty good with that.

I sent the claims from the dentist because my wife and I always go on the same day (I highlighted that and wrote that on the page too).

I just wanted to caution you with this.

USCIS doesn't care if you had religious wedding. In their eyes it does not make you "more" married then you already are and may be confusing even.

Also, don't call it "marriage" in any documents. Just say "ceremony".

So do you think that we might have a chance to get approved before May? To be honest, just give me an interview!!! What I have seen that, they will first request an RFE. If they suspect more RED Flags then they gonna call us for an interview. For RED RED cases, they dont have the opportunity to get a RFE too. There is a person in this thread who got an interview right away, no RFE nothing. So, we are lucky on this case. At least we have our chance to prove our marriage is legit!

I hope we get something done before May its done, being pregnant I dont need any more stress, besides my job... I hope with all the documents we are collecting we can send this right away and finish this episode... I am not sending more affidavit, I think I already sent enough, from different people... I am just putting our statements, and bills, copy of travel reservations, pics of my religious wedding, ultrasound of my baby, medical bills for the pregnancy... they might be irrelevant so if they need more they might give me an interview, I hope not but if it is well, we will go and thats it.

In our RFE its said that they will start working on our case within 14 days and it can go upto 60 days. What do you think? We may have a chance to get approved within May? I am sending all the documents I have on this Wednesday (5/8/13).

I couldnt agree more. The problem with us that, we dont want to be in debt so why I have to take loan and show to them? LOL! It just doesnt makes any sense. Phone records is a proof too. Glad that you mentioned, I will print that too. I am thinking more affidavits from friends.

I understand perfectly about the debt, it is alot, I am wondering if the year that I was not working because it took time to get a job and he was the main provider and the year i am not going to work again to take care of my child is not evidence... We are searching everywere to get more bills, we just open a saving account that we didnt had before because we didnt think it was necessary, we trust each other enough and he manage the money anyway... Pictures of vacations and another wedding we did in DR? I dont have my marriage certificate from the church yet, funny my mom forgot to bring it and now i really need it, and I am registrating my marriage also in the spanish embassy that I am a citizen, but still havent...We are married in three countries almost lol.. we did two weddings one in here Justice of Peace and one in DR by the Catolic Church... Lets see if my mom can send me the certificate via FEDEX... now that I think about it.

What I am doing now is printing more documents like bank statements from Nov 2012, my pay stubs, my wife's pay stubs, Tax Return 2012, electric bills, phone bills, etc.

WE will send the tax return from 2012 that we just got, more bills from phone etc... i guess ill send, but probably it is not enough because he is in my belly still, ultrasounds of my kid, medical bills for the maternity care, I will write a letter too, I just dont have an idea what else, more bank statements, credit cards... I though the debt we have with a morgage was a enough proof, of course we sent everything else but that is something that i dont think, if a marriage is not legit, any inteligent person will put a home in both names... but I guess there is people that do that... who knows... maybe they just want ot bother a little bit just so people can see it is not as easy, I just hate we have to be the example when there are so many cases up there that are not legit and still have it easy.

I got an RFE letter today from USCIS stating that my marriage is not in good faith. Here are the list of documents that I submitted:

1. Joint tax return of 2010 & 2011 (I will submit 2012 tax return in my RFE)

2. Our apartment lease contract.

3. A letter from our join bank account.

4. Copy of my wife's personal signature card.

5. Letter from auto insurance company.

6. Letter from Social security administration.

7. Auto insurance policy for past 2-3 yrs.

8. Explanation of dental benefits from Metlife.

9. Certificate of group health plan coverage, explanation of payments, and explanation of benefits from BCBS.

10. Benefit enrollment from my employer.

11. Joint phone bill

12.Affidavits from 6 friends.

13. Copies from B'Days cards.

14. Lots of pictures.

I can submit these documents more as evidence:

-Copy of Tax Return 2012

-More bank statements.

-More affidavits from friends.

-I can buy life insurance policy stating she is my beneficiary.

Anything else should I chip in? We dont have kids.

Same boat here... I am upset and surprise... I am even pregnant!!! but I guess that is not enough because my baby is not born yet... besides all the documents we sent with mortgage, life insurance, medical insurance, account statements, affidavits, tax returns... I dont really care to go to interview right now, I just want to get over this... waiting to call USCIS...

I though the mortgage of almost 360k and a life insurance with me as a beneficiary for close to 250k is enough proof that me and my husband are a legit couple!!! nobody is that stupid to put a person that is not your real couple in that!

I am actually pregnant, of course I am not going to have a birth certificate until is born... I feel like telling them, come in and watch us in our intimate moments!!! I never felt so uncomfortable...

Sorry guys, I dont mean to be nasty or anything like that, it is just frustration. Any ideas what else can we send?

To me it seems like you got one of those "bogus RFEs" that they sent out just to postpone working on the case.

We sent almost exactly the same stuff (except I did not include any pictures whatsoever).

Definitely 2012 IRS Transcript along with many bank statements (covering all of the month of marriage, at this point) would be the best evidence. Send more joint bills.

Another thing: do you have any credit cards together? If you do, get a letter from the CC company saying the account is joint (or you are an authorized user).

Pull credit reports for both of you (from www.annualcreditreport.com - it's free once a year and does not affect your credit). It will show addresses and any co-mingled finances.

Other than that, nothing else comes to mind.

My concern is with the "new" GC being approved and traveling on the old/extension letter combo.

That's the essence of it.

Probably it will arrive before that, but if it doesnt I would call USCIS...

In all honesty, I'm not sure if I'm too happy about this. We are traveling in 3 weeks (24th), so now the card needs to arrive by then, pretty much.

I really did not care how long it would take (neither for AOS or ROC) and I'm not going to care how long the N-400 takes too. She's here with me now, she has legal status, so why would I really care?!

After all, it's a journey, and we will all arrive at the end of it sooner or later.

Now, I imagine if the card does not arrive soon we'd need an INFOPASS and a stamp to travel? I read tons about it, but I'm still not sure about the logistics in this particular situation.

About the travelling I just came from Spain, I travelled with my GC(expired) my marriage cert (just in case because my passport has the maiden name) my passport of course and the extension letter... no trouble at all. I called USCIS and when to my Spaniard embassy (i am a spaniard citizen) and they told me I should not worry, the letter and gc is fine and it was. Didnt need the stamp...

BTW just came from a visit to my dad in Spain and it was easy,no trouble at all at the airport with the one year extension letter. no news from this part... hopefully soon...

If you are really worried about this you could schedule an infopass appointment and get a stamp in your passport indicating the 1 year extension.

I just Travel to Spain and no problem coming back, i was worried too but it was easy breeze... left with my one year extension, passport and thats it

You just filed in Dec' 12 - your wait may be till Aug' 13. I guess the NOA1 extended the GC may be till Feb/ Mar' 2014. You should be fine with your GC and Extension letter to retun before the validity date in your extension letter but we wish you all th best with both your process and preganancy and normal delivery. Funny my baby is due on Aug 25th... I am excited!!! Oh not desperate like the first GC waiting period... I remember i kept looking to get any updates on it, this one is like What ever lol... I am starting this year my naturalization process... and if is Gods will finally with that I am done with documentation, waiting and paying... specially now that the money in this house is going to diapers and milk lol

You have to wait 2 years 9 months and 2 days (pretty much) since the issue of GC before filing for Naturalization via the 3-year marriage rule.

Thanks ... I was falling up too with my embassy to see if I can keep my Spaniard citizenship to make sure I wont loose it, it will be a process but I decided to have my family here so a citizenship make sense.

My wife has the exact same GC date.

I am a bit nervous about traveling to visit my dad in Spain, hopefully with all the evidence that i'll bring with me they dont give me a hard time...

I did my Bio on the 16th... took about 40mins... it was easy and the agent was nice

I worked in an airline for four years and it is true that the extension letter, four years ago was an issue but if the agent of the airline takes the time to call migration in the USA that is available for airlines, they will give the ok to travel, that it is if the agent has doubt on this but it shouldn't.

I am traveling next April to Spain, and was nervous about the letter, my GC expires on FEb and they told me that the letter is good to travel, and also when to the Spanish embassy just to make sure... lets hope everything goes well for me.
