ok forgive me if this has been asked before,  I received a  rfe in the mail on July 19th, it says I have until Oct 2nd to get all the information together I did speak with a lawyer and he said that I have actually until Dec 2nd an additional 60days due to covid 19. And I plan on visiting my fiance in November. What is confusing me is that which date is the date I need to go by the rfe date of 0ct 2 or the one the lawyer gave me.

I am feeling very frustrated because my questions either get shot down or a person. Will respond in a rude manner i know everyone is in this but why are you going to yell at someone for asking a question I have feared to ask anything because I don't want to get bitched at. So my question is my estimated time of adjudication has passed by and I still haven't heard anything, should I call usic or just wait?

See where we are going with this. What you're asking can't be predicated with any certainty. So when it gets done that's when it will be done.

 

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take 
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Thank you its all just a waiting game but I will try lower my expectations and just trust the process however frustrating that might be and will just pray and have faith that God's timing is good. This forum and vj has been extremely helpful in all this to know I'm not the only one pudging through this.

The consulate is  in Nairobi kenya they process the k1 visa for uganda there.

Ok that answers my question I havent received any notification about any delays on my case and actually received my noa1 within just a few days. But on a whole im just praying through that its all done soon but I understand that it might be delayed a lot.

I did create a timeline and I haven't received anything telling me that the k1 has been delayed. I figured that they would .

I filed my 129f petition for my fiance that lives in uganda I received my first noa on Feb 14 and have not received any thing else does anyone know what the processing time is for k1 visas in uganda ?
