Got an approval letter in the mail today.

Same thing we did...no affidavits as we feel we have enough evidence. And if they ever request for it...we will send them. Received NOA1 and was dated Jan 6th.
We finally send papers today - should be delivered on Tuesday, 1/17/2012.
Didn't add any affidavits, we think we have enough evidences and we will send them if we get RFE.
Now the waiting game is starting, once again

Congrats on your successful interview. I can't believe people can actually do that...writing a letter to USCIS about someone's marriage. Well, thank God everything went well for you guys. As per your EAD, you don't need it anymore, the green card is all you need now, as soon as it arrives, it replaces your EAD...guess you can just keep it.

Hi everyone,
We received word of approval of my husband's EAD and AP on June 2nd. His EAD card arrived in the mail last Thursday, but as of today, June 14th, we have not received the AP letter that they said was mailed on June 2nd. We really need the letter in hand so we can book him a flight. Any ideas as to why after almost 2 weeks it still has not arrived? And what can we do about it? Just continue to wait?

Wait for one more week and if it still dosen't come,just call USCIS again to inform them of this, or set up an infopass appointment. Good luck.

Hi All, wonder if you can help us ? On 24 May 2010 USCIS received our I-485's for myself and 2 children and the I-765 , we received the hardcopys of all NOA's a few days later. But we still have not received anything advising when we must go for Biometrics , does this arrive by regular postal mail , email or text message ? Also how long does it normally take after receiving hardcopy NOA for us to get Biometrics date - this is for fingerprints and photos ?? Thank you and any advice is appreciated
The biometrics appointment letter normally comes by regular mail. And it might be arriving anytime soon, normally it depends on availabilty at the centre where you will scheduled to have your biometrics done. In my case it arrived about 4 weeks after receiving hardcopy for the NOA's. And I have seen some cases where it arrived at around 2 weeks after NOA. So, it all depends...it's just a matter of waiting, it will eventually come.

Contacted the congressmans office and was told very rudely to call back in late July as they are "Within the processing time". Wth... Nearly everyone on here seems to have got some sort of GC letter with my processing date
... Tried explaining that but she talked right over me. *sigh*....Am sure you will be receiving your GC in the mail very soon. I know it can be annoying when you have to wait for them this long, and on their side they are just taking it easy as if it's nothing. Be patient and I believe you will be approved soon.

No, it dosen't mean everything is ok, Biometrics is only a step in the whole process. RFE can come before or after biometrics. Good luck with your application.

To be honest it all depends on whoever is deciding or handling your case. In our own case, we didn't send in the I-693 with the AOS application as it was still within the 1 year frame. And everything was ok...no RFE. Even at the interview it wasn't mentioned at all. But I have seen some few cases here on this website, especially with those who filed in December, 2009 they received alot of RFE for not including the I-693.
So it's entirely up to you if you want take the risk like we did. Or if you want to play safe and avoid RFE you might just get a civil surgeon to transfer your vaccination record/ information unto the vaccination section/part on form I-693,and have it signed and sealed by the surgeon. That shouldn't be a problem for the civil surgeon to do, though they will charge for this service.
