Hello everyone. I lost my NOA.... I've looked everywhere but I cannot find it....
I have copy ( I have submitted to my employer so I made copy but only front page) but I cannot find the original. Is copy sufficient to prove when I travel overseas? Should I get info pass and get stamp on my passport if I need to travel overseas

HeatDealth,
Thank you for your comment. I've been working in the USA since 2000 and I had filled as single until 2009. 2010 tax year was the first year after we got married.
As you have mentioned, I will include "Married separate" tax return copy as evidence.
-
Thank you for your quick reply.
>anything for electricity or internet service or cable television?
My husband name is in the acounts on Electricity or internet, however, his name doesn't show in the statement. I called them and both of them told me that because the space is limited, they cannnot put 2 names in th statement but my husband name is on file. If he contacts them, he has authority to change our account.
I asked them if they can out that notation or send me letter shows both name is on the account, but they told me that they cannot....This doesn't help for evidence documents at all....
I will submit our Tax return anyway since this shows "married" although we filled separately.

Hello. I am trying to gathering evidences. I would like to sent documents by early February since my 2 year GC is expiring in May 10 2012.
We have
*joint bank account,
*Car insurance both name,
*Home owner insurance both name,
*Life insurance beneficiary name shows my name/his name
*Gas bill both name,
*Cell phone bill; family plan
*Trip tickets, itinerary
*Several pictures
*Affidavits letter from parents and friends
*driver's license which shows same address
*several Christmas card or mails which shows both name
However, we do not have mortgage with both name. I ( applicant ) bought house before I met my husband (USC) and he moved to my house after we got married. I was trying to add his name on my mortgage. In order to add his name, mortgage company told me that I had to re-finance. I even could not change the mortgage title name. Currently title name is my maiden name. I have changed my last name after I got married but mortgage title still shows my maiden name. I did not want to re-finance because it would cost a lot of $$$$.
We also did not file tax return together for past 2 years. We have filled "married, separately." Because we had received more tax return if we filled separately, we decided to file separately.
We do not have same health insurance, neither. We have insurance with each employer.
I started worrying if above documents are sufficient to prove our marriage.
Thank you for your help.

I had intervied on May 10th and I haven't recieved my EAD nor Green card yet. My EAD's first production date was April 29th.... and 2nd production date was May 11th....
I think it takes long time and as "sayitone" responded, once you get green card, you do not need EAD.

I am xtremely frustrated and disappointed.I was suppose to have my interview this morning but IO told us they never received our file from chicago lock box and we will have to wait 30 to 90 days for the interview.I m wondering if happened to anyone???
I am very sorry to hear that. Although that is their mistake, you have to wait another 30-90 days? That is very unfortunate....

Good morning Feb. AOS filers!!!
I had interview May 10th 1pm and we were approved.
It was very easy and nice interview. We were very nervous that we could hardly sleep day before.
Here are details. Our appointment time was 1:00pm.We arrived office 12:40 pm. We left our notice letter to the tray. There are about 30 people waiting in the waiting area.
It seems there were no people working on that window since it was lunch time.
Since there were many people waiting, we expected that we had to wait hours but my name was called about 1:10 pm.
Officer Ms. Rizzo, introduced herself and told us the she would interview us this afternoon.
She took us to her room and asked us to stand up and raise our right hand and promises tell truth.
She first asked us to show our ID so we gave our driver’s license and passport.
She checked both our driver’s license front and back and see if our address is same and verified with her computer. We had to explain because our actual address and application address was different. (We’ve been looking for a house, so we put my husband’s parents’ address) She asked us if we wanted to change the address in their system. We said no.
She verified our birth date and SS #.
Then she asked me to show my work permit so I told her that I looked up USCIS website and my card was ordered in April 29th but I haven’t received it. Then she asked me if I had my E2 visa approved notice. I told her that I had never received it. She asked me if my E2 visa was still valid so I had to tell her that I was laid off on March 31st 2010.
She asked me if last year was the first US entry. I told her and my first entry to US was Nov. 2000. Then she looked through my passport and seemed to look through my entry stamp. (I have a lot of US entry stamp since Nov 2000…) She asked me twice that if I had J1 visa. I said no. I had H1B visa when I entered to the US Nov. 2000. (I do not know why she asked me twice about that…) Then she asked me if I had ever overstayed.
Next, she stared asking me about 20 questions such as “Are you terrorist?” “Have you ever committed crimes” “Have you ever been in jail?” “Have you ever brought any illegal items such as drugs?” “Have I ever applied Visa without telling true?” “Have I ever applied GC with someone else?”
All the answer was no.
Anyway, after that she checked my husband financial documents which we already submitted with application. (His 3 months pay stub, his 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 W2, his tax file for 2006, 2007 and 2008) She asked us if we brought tax file for 2009. I gave her his copy.
She checked my I693 which I already submitted with my application and she said that everything looked fine.
Then she asked to my husband if he still worked same company. She also verified with me my former employer. She verified our wedding date, location, and if we had children, if we had married before. If my husband had filled petition other than me before. She asked to my husband if he knows my parents name.
She asked us if we brought any document to prove live together, so we gave her utility bills, gym membership application, most recent bank statement, cell phone bills, cell phone family plan agreement in 2008 and auto insurance bill. She asked us if we had joint lease agreement so we both explained to her that we do no because he moved to my condo which I already own and in order to add his name on my lease, we had to re-finance but we did not want to do it because we’ve been looking for a house and eventually, we would sell this property. She kept all the copies and put them in her folder.
She lastly asked us how we met.
She said that she approved us and she explained we need to apply remove conditions 2 years later.
Since we brought bunch of pictures, we mentioned about it so she looked a little bit but it seems that she did not care anymore. We chatted about our travel to Japan and wedding. That was it.
She walked with us to the exit door and she said that I would receive GC in about 2 weeks.
We left building about 1:45pm. Interview was about 30 minutes long.
She was very professional and nice officer.
I hope this expericen help you....
Good luck everyone!!
-
Congratulations all the approvals, EAD!!!

I am very happy for your approvals!!.
I have checked my status through online and I found out that my EAD has been ordered April 29th. This is a good thing. Now, I really have to look for a job....

-
Snivvel-,
Wow, Congratulations on your EAD!!. and good luck with your interview!
-
I do not when we received interview notice because all our AOS mails are delivered to my Husband's parents house. His parents were out of town for a week and they just came back today.
They told us that we had received interview notice.

It says that our interview date is May 10!!!.
How exciting!!!
Mine hasn't touched since March 17th neither but it seems there are some progress!!
Anyway, I know we are all waiting waiting and get frustrated but we are moving forward little by little.
By the way, Congratulations all the CSC transfers, EAD, AP approval or Interview notice!!!

Oh, well, I have to think positive....Maybe I should gald that I get a long vacation????!!!! Anyway, as soon as I get work permit, I have to look for a job....
-
Good morning!!
Congratulatons for the Feb. Family who were transfered, AP or EAD approval or Interview letter.

I am very happy for you!!
There are a lot of movement for our Feb. Filers yesterday!! Woohooo!!!
-
I think VJ timeline is based on average time. If timeline push up that means average tiem to receive EAD is shorter than before.
Mine has changed yesterday, too.
I know this is just based on average time so I am hoping that I can get within time rounge but it may delay....
My last day at work is next Wednesday so I really need EAD to work!!! (everyone hopes that same way!!!)
