Hi, I'm renewing my 10-year green card this week and have some questions about the form( I came to USA through a K-1 visa). At this point I'm so confused! Hope to get answers from people who have gone through this recently and can shed some light on this topic!
Question 3: Location where you applied for an immigrant visa or adjustment of status (Is this the city where I was living? Is it the National Benefits Center- as it appears on my I-797?)
Location where your immigrant visa was issued or USCIS office where you were granted adjustment of status (I had my AOS interview in San Bernardino CA, and the letter of approval was sent from that office. Or should I type California Service Center, according to the code on my GC?).

My 10-year GC expires on January 2024. I know it's much time in advance, but I'm already gathering information about what's needed for renewal. My question is : What kind of evidence or documentation is required to attach along with form I-90?
For example: for ROC I sent tax transcripts, pictures, bills and mail as proof of address, etc.

As a matter of fact, I'm the wife( respondent). This is the situation: We`ve been married for 7 years, and I'm planning on moving to Mexico. I'm interested in knowing how process is in cases like that. Of course I would give him my address.
-
I would like to know in detail from another VJ members who had gone through this, how the respondent is served if she's living in Mexico.

Thanks for this valuable information, SusieQQQ. I want to do the right thing, given that I'm moving back to my country soon and don`t want to have troubles if I decided to apply for a tourist visa in the future.
-
I read some posts about surrendering the GC, but I thought the resident had to do it right after leaving the USA.

I'm a 10-year GC holder, living in CA. Right now, my husband can`t start the divorce process because he has to take care of bills and a debt. Our situation is tense and I haven`t found a steady job in months so I won`t be able to stay and wait until divorce is finished. In a nutshell, I have to come back to my country. My question is: Will there be a problem if I`m not in USA when he starts the process? (No kids, no assets and 7 years of marriage).

Why EDD in California states that you can only seek for full time jobs while collecting unemployment benefits? Why if I find a job but it turns out to be part time? It's still a job, I think, and a way to stop getting help from them.

If both of us are working, can I claim him as my dependent, and can he do the same in his w-4?

I worked at a company for 10 months, but they started going slow and I was laid off. Before, I worked for them for 4 months and was laid off too for the same reason. I found this job through the same employement agency... I'm applying for unemployement benefits, but I'll be asked information about my employer...my question is: what information should I provide, that from the agency or that from the company itself?
Thanks in advance!

Generalmente toma una semana en promedio.

Hola Ablenis, solo para ampliar un poquito lo que Diana ya te comento...En la forma I-129 F el nombre va de la siguiente manera:
Family name(o last name) [apellido] : Lopez
First name (o given name)[ Nombre de pila]: Maria
Family name: Smith
First name: Maria
Middle name: Catalina

Hi, I would like to know if there's a calculator or something similar online (reliable) that could help me to figure out how much is the penalty fee I'll have to pay (I don´t have health insurance).

Yes, it is said "for better or worse", but in this case you're trapped in a marriage in which you're not happy anymore and have to deal with all this stress that his alcohol addiction is causing. It isn´t worth it... Try to get help from relatives in your country to buy a plane ticket and stay away from him. You´ve tried all you can , but in the end he doesn´t want to be helped.

I did all the research (I´m the PR) from the beginning (VJ helped me a lot!). Starting from K-1 visa, I assembled the packet and sent it to my husband so that he could add the I-129 F and G-325 A plus his photo and 2 other documents he had. I e-mailed him the forms so that he printed them. For the interview, he sent me the paperwork and the signedI-134 that I had previously filled out with the information he provided me.
Regarding AOS and ROC, I assembled the packets and he only signed where was required.

If I left the USA and my husband started the divorce process, would I have to come back to sign the paperwork or he could send it to me? How long does it take in California?. We don´t either have kids or properties, and have been married for almost 3 years.

Congratulations on your approval, Caro!

You can apply for AOS (adjustment of status) right after getting your marriage certificate. Here in VJ Guides section you'll find all the information you need to do it. Read it carefully, and given you're not familiar with all these paperwork, I would recommend you to read it along with your wife/husband so that he/she can help you to gather what it's required. After sending your AOS packet and going through this process, and if it's approved, you'll get a 2-year GC.

This would be the second one. I've been a GC holder for 10 years, so it's time to renew it.
