Good idea about the dual purpose! I'll use the passport instead of the birth certificate. Thanks everyone!

Hi,
If I am to use my U.S. passport as proof of citizenship, do I send a copy of the bio page only or the entire passport? I am hesitant to use my birth certificate only because I recently had it corrected and the correction mite trigger an RFE (basically my name was spelled wrong and they just drew a line over it and wrote the corrected version above.) Not sure if that would be a problem. Thanks!

Are you petitioning for his daughter also? You HAVE to list her even if you are not petitioning. However, if you ARE you check the question that says if there are any other petitions along with the I-130. :=D
No, I am not petitioning for her. She is already in the U.S. Thanks for the heads up though!

Thank you! I really appreciate the help!

Hello,
Getting ready to fill out the I-130 form and have a couple of questions. I apologize if they may seem silly, but I just want to fill it out right. Thanks in advance for any help.
1. I haven't changed any documents to reflect my married name. Will that be a problem? Can I do that @ a different time?
2. Question #17 - List husband/wife and all children of your relative - do I list me and his daughter?
3. Part F Signature of person preparing this form, if other than the petitioner - no one other than me will be preparing the form. Do I leave it blank or put NA? - I ask because I've read that we shouldn't leave anything blank.
Thanks again!

Thanks everyone! I ordered 2 copies of the inextensa marriage certificate just in case. So it looks like I have what I need for now. I'll be back here with more questions when I start to fill out the papers. Thanks again!
Congrats Stephanie! - Where are you getting married? We got married in a lil office in Licey al Medio...

Hey!
Recently married here in Santiago. Going back home @ the end of the month. What should I be leaving here with in order to assemble and send off the I-130 when I get back? I know I need the marriage certificate. Do I have to do anything with it, like legalize it or get it translated? And I know I also need the signed G-325A for him and some passport photos. Please let me know anything else I mite miss. THANK YOU

Basically her middle name is one thing, and the birth certificate lists a different name. But, I think we will take the advice and leave all papers as is! I appreciate your feedback!

Hello All! Hope you are well!
So...starting to gather info and noticed that on my fiance's birth certificate, his mother's middle name is wrong. Do you guys think or know if this will be a problem when filing the I-130? Thanks for any help!

Thanks twincactus,
I got some contact info for a lawyer from your site DTTUSA that does them, so I will go there. The journey begins....

Hello!
Can anyone tell me where I can get a Single Status Affidavit to get married in Dominican Republic? The Dominican Consulate in NYC said they no longer provide those, so that's not an option.
Thanks!

Hello all...
I am new to the site and haven't really started the process, but I was looking over the forms. My question is, if the foreign fiance has a child already in the U.S. would I still have to list them in the I-129F application although I wouldn't be requesting a visa for said child? Thank for any help!
redundant question of married name vs maiden name

Hey! Congrats!
As you already know, I got married a few weeks before you and am also preparing the I-130. I agree that you should use your maiden name because all your documents have that name. I filled everything with the maiden name...much easier...less confusing! I will take his last name later on.
Good luck...seems we'll be filing around the same time...
