This is another advantage to doing Electronic Proc. Because you dont have to worry about sending in originals and the consulate losing them.

Not if you order online. Usually takes 5-10 days at the most. When I ordered In Canada I had mine within 3 days, when I ordered from The United states It took 5 days. (I did not use the premium service)

Did u ever sent nvc original birth certificates or marriage certificates? If you did they (meaning consulate) should have gotten them. It says so in the checklist in the packet 4 that you received from the consul if they received your originals. They (consulate) give u back the originals, except for your police certificate.

When we went through NVC last year we had the best luck getting through late at night. Good luck!

I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because of the frivolous calls. I never called the USCIS and I have only called NVC to speak to a person 3 times. The rests of the time I just went to the AVR system... Some times I think we forget that we are also somewhat responsible for making this process as slow as it is.

    Thanks all!
As for March or April, the received date is March 26th, NOA1 date April 2nd.
Which service centre? I'm assuming California as that is the service centre quoted on the NOA1. Maybe they transferred it to a different one and didn't tell us? We'll know more when my husband receives the hardcopy of the NOA2 soon.

We received an email telling us that our NOA2 dated 8th September has been sent! To refresh your memories, our NOA1 date was April 2nd. And no, case wasn't expedited, and no RFEs.
    Cheers,

I don't know if we biometrics appointment for cr1 cases. It might happen when you enter US when they take ur spouses fingerprints. Other than that I don't think we will see anything.
