Jared and May got a reaction from happyscrub in Second Letter of Intent?
Just so you know, we didn't send one of these letter of intents and the interview was approved. It's not listed on any of the required documents for the embassies.. So I wouldn't freak out about it..

I can field some of these...
Layovers are fine, my sweetiepie is coming to JFK via Japan. Since it's just a layover and not a stayover (overnight), then it's fine. And once you've booked a flight and have a ticket, it should be yours! Just tell your sweetiepie not to give up her seat for any of the free incentive offers that the airlines would offer.

We're planning on paying for most of my sister-in-law's college courses, but I made it pretty clear that the money will be managed by her mother. I love my future sister, but she's young and the thought of having so much money is probably too much for her to manage. My wifey's mother is an absolute sweetheart, and amazing at making a peso last. I'm also going to be firm about seeing grades at the end of each semester. If she's not working, she should be studying her tushy off.

I agree with Bob 4 Anna... It's going to be just too difficult to get a tourist visa. You should really consider talking with your hubby about going the K1 route..
    Good luck and God bless!

I stand by my original recommendation of the OP scanning in the ID & credit card used for the transaction so there aren't any issues. Why roll the dice when it's unnecessary.
You can even have it just e-mailed to your sweetie and she can print off in an Internet cafe..

I'll never forget my first time to Phil.. I was in Shanghai on business and flew to Manila, then connected to Davao via PAL. When I landed in Davao (only kano onboard) I was overwhelmed with people trying to help me. They wanted to carry bags, take their jeeps/taxi's to places, etc..
I cross the street in Davao airport and there's just so many Filipinos waiting around for their loved ones. I look all around and can't find her.. She sends me an SMS that she's got a cab and is waiting.. Finally as I keep walking a little Pinay calls my name and throws her arms around me..
To this day, I'm still not 100% sure she is my Milagros.. but she is the one who found me that first day in Davao..
    (just kidding)

No, May 1st will be my 3rd trip to the Philippines. . I proposed to my sweetie while vacationing in Boracay back in November. We just recently spent her birthday in January in Hong Kong. It was her first time out of the country and she was just so excited. I miss her so very much and this wait has been extremely difficult. I agree with you, Philippines is beautiful.. The people, culture, land, are all just beautiful. This time around we're going to do some exploring in Bohol, and I'll spend some time with her family in Davao. I'd like to attend the interview with her in Manila, but worst case, she'll have to do that on her own..
Just trying to remain positive.. Today was a good sign, as they approved a lot of my friends who have similar filing dates. Maybe I'll get a nice surprise before the weekend.
Thanks for your kind words and all the best,
    -Jared

I've been designated as your Team Captain, so I won't let you become as irrate and crazy as November filers did.
It has always happened. People will be approved before you. People who submitted 3 months after you will be approved before you, such is life, and such is this process.
DO NOT compare your timelines to anyone else's. It only leads to frustration and envy.
Do not let yourself be dragged into this cesspool of crybabies and constant b!tching and moaning.
You will be with your loved ones. It's just going to be in due time.
I am just like you. Waiting (yes, impatiently). So I am in no different situation than any other here waiting for NOA2.
I just ask one thing of you - do not panic and create the crazy environment November people have created on these boards.
I understand it is hard, but supporting each other helps a lot and goes a long way.
Couple of months from now, all of us will look at this thread as history. All of us will be approved and on our marry way of living our lives with our wives and husbands.
Count off one day at a time. Think of it this way. Tomorrow it will have been one day less of waiting.
    Sincerely yours,
    Martyshk

    Congratulations!
It's kinda interesting that they just pull a mid-December file before all November, but who cares at this point.
Get your stuff ready and get to the interview. The worst part is over for you

To be quite honest, I think that all is happening with Vermont right now, is that they are, by some sort of weird logic, slowing down to CSC timelines of about 90-100 days processing.
People, it's not THAT BAD, really.
We have to do it once and that's it. Yes, it's hard as hell being apart, but this is one and only time when we HAVE to.
So let's stop with downer posts here, we all need to be helping each other and cheer up

It was never 9 months to begin with. 6 months is overshooting it as well. Even with the slowdown, they are about halfway through October.
    Stop being a downer too

    Filed 04-Dec-2009
    NOA1 07-Dec-2009
Going batsh*t crazy already with the waiting, both of us
We are really hoping for a 13-June-09 wedding (our 1 year anniversary), but whatever happens, happens.
I am sort of surprised to see that VSC is "supposedly" processing our cases in about 2 months now. I don't think I've ever seen timelines like that.
Good luck to everyone and I wish everyone a speedy processing and visa approvals.

    Jessica,
I have been overshooting the prediction date just to make sure it feels better when we get it earlier
Actually, December approvals started pretty much exactly when I thought they might (outliers given - Jared knows what I'm talking about).
So stuff is happening and it's good! Just hoping for consistent flow out of VSC at this point.
