Received I-797 NOA today that wife's removal of conditions was approved and new green card should arrive within 60 days.

I was expecting to see a RFI when I saw the letter.

I would say the problem is Yahoo not the Philippines. I would switch to Gmail.

After two years my wife still has trouble with cooler weather and I live in So-Cal. Bought her one of those heat lamps from Costco and she loves it. One funny thing is that she still doesn't understand why sunny days can be so cold. When she sees the sun shinning she assumes it is warm.

I would say the three things that helped her the most with homesickness was a rice cooker, GMA and TFC channels, and the ability to call home whenever she wants. She loves the washer and dryer though will still do some clothes by hand. I also had to rig up a clothes line outside for her. She doesn't care for dishwasher at all.

I use a Chase checking account with Xoom. Three years, never a problem.

I saw Hobbit. I liked it

Tho I still don't understand why they split the book for 3 movies...

The Hobbit was written around 15 years before the LOTR and is more of a childrens book.. The Hobbit movie writers took great liberty in making the movie flow better with the LOTR trilogy tying the two together in ways not done in the books and adding a lot of stuff of importance in the Hobbit movie that was not. significant in the book. I was a big fan of the books but I find the movies kind of slow.

I saw Gangster Squad this past weekend and thought it was outstanding if you are a fan of the Godfather, Untouchables type of movies.

Do a search here on "embassy- Manila" I am sure someone has posted the number at some point or even been in the same situation.

My wife had no records when she went to St. Lukes. Don't worry about it. St. Lukes will decide what you need.

Mine took 7 days. As Mrs O. said wait about a week and then start calling NVC everyday until you case number and ITN number. Don't wait on NVC for anything. Be as pro-active as you can. It will greatly speed up things.

My wife just had her interview three weeks ago and all they wanted was the NBI certificate. Get an extra official copy for yourself.

Well I went through CSC and it was taking everyone at the time around 5 months to get NOA2 (For CR1 filers).

Waiting for NOA2 was the hardest part of the process. Good luck to you all.

I think getting record from each place applies to areas where records are kept locally or regionally, like the United States. There is not a national database on crimes. NBI has a national database.

I believe James and Cynthia are correct. It is my understanding that NBI record is on national level, not local.

My wife's interview was earlier this month and they did not ask for any tax or income information. But I have read that people say to take all the information that was included in the I-864 to the interview. Furthermore I would suggest wife bring copies of everything all ready submitted to the interview. Don't want a delay because of a missing paper. I included the NBI with wife's DS-230 and at the interview the C.O. said it was missing. Luckily she had another one with her.

The wife is going to Cebu this upcoming week for the CFO class then will fly to LAX on Feb. 11. She got the first time immigrant discount but the days available to use were pretty restrictive.
