I prepared my I-751 FORM myself. I accidentially put the wrong address on the form. The payment was collected by USCIS on 11/15/2012, I knew that they accepted my application. What can I do to change my address in order to have all documents to mail to me?
I am so scared now. What can I do now?
Thanks a million in advance.
-
Thank you very much.
Contact USCIS or NVC with the birth certificate (Depending on where the petitions is at the moment) and request for the addition of the baby to the mother's petition; The child is eligible to for a derivative visa.
Thank you very much.
Once your cousin's I-130 is approved, it will be forwarded to the NVC. When a visa number is available, the NVC will contact your cousin that the case is now eligible for further processing. At this point, your cousin's wife needs to file an APPLICATION FOR IMMIGRANT VISA, and, this is also the time she would file a second application for the derivative visa for the newborn child. To put simply:
Wait for I-130 to be approved.
Then, wait for NVC to contact your cousin that the case is now eligible for further processing.
Have wife file APPLICATION FOR IMMIGRANT VISA for herself AND THE BABY.
The above is information that I extrapolate JimVaPhuong's post. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I need to know exactly what i should do fo my cousin too..
what do you mean wait for a visa application? do u mean wait until the mother get interview and then bring the baby with her or what , sorry im confused because my wife will deliver a baby on July or so and her case is still on Vermont center for approval , what should i do exactly please need advice
i'm a Permanent resident Pd June13,2011
-
My cousin is a permanent resident.
So he does not have to do anything now, right?
Just wait for the visa application for the mother, then the child can apply for the visa together?
thank you very much,
christina
Is your cousin a US citizen or permanent resident? If a US citizen, is he the biological father of the child?
If your cousin is a US citizen, and if he's the biological father of the child, then the child isn't eligible for a visa because it has a claim to US citizenship. They have to file a Consular Report of Birth Abroad with the consulate and get the child a US passport.
If your cousin is a US citizen, and he's NOT the biological father of the child, then he'll need to file another I-130 for the child. The petition for his wife would be in the immediate relative category, and those visa types don't allow for derivatives.
If your cousin is a permanent resident then he doesn't need to do anything yet. The petition for his wife would be an F2A family preference. The child will be eligible to apply for a derivative visa at the same time the child's mother applies.
Under no circumstances do you ever "add" somebody to a petition. The visa category will either allow for derivative visas to be issued or it won't.

MY cousin filed I-130 for his wife. It is now pending. She just gave birth to a baby girl. How can he add the baby to the I-130 petition?
thank you

GIV-24 Form
in China
未再婚公证 - this is usually for spousal visas, unless you see it specifically listed for parents.
If you see it listed for parents, please let me know the exact source?
I do note, for IR-5, must bring to interview (because of NVC EP):
]1) an original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s birth certificate and 2) original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages.
from http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html#petitioner_documents
Perhaps that is exactly what they are referring to? maybe ?
Now, I am saying, to 'bring it to interview', as you were supposed to submit it to NVC. Maybe NVC missed it, on document review - but the ConOff in GUZ won't 'miss it' - they'll be looking for it, so be sure yer parent has it.
re: that GIV-24 form - is reference to it, here - http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/life_act_visas_faqs.html for K-3 visas - you are not one of those.
The ONLY reason, IMO, to include it for yer parent, is IF she receives it in the P4 packet that would be mailed to her.
Okay, it is only my concern.
Since the NVC only emailed me a letter with the date and time, w/o address and anything at all. (there is a link to DOS website tho.)
I want to make sure everything is all right.
Thank you very much, Darnell.
I can always find the right anser here.

GIV-24 Form
in China
Not needed now.
Tnank you very much.
Concur - not needed for IR-5 @ GUZ IV unit.
Review http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm
on the V Appointment Packet (“Packet 4”) section, at the bottom.
Those are all the forms ya need, for yer particular casefile and filing method.
Thanks.
How about the "未再婚公证“?
I saw that it is on the list. I did not send it to NVC.
Does Mom need to bring to interview?

GIV-24 Form

Does any one know whether we still need the GIV-24 Form for immigration visa?
I cannot find it on the DOS website.
Thank you,

Christina - there is no such thing for [/i] interview location for electronic processing[/i] - Your parents will go to the same place, as everyone else - it will be in the Tian Yu building - there is a US Consulate Annex on the 5th floor.
DO NOT GO TO THE White Swan address - that is 'the rest of the Consulate' in Guangzhou.
---
5th Floor
Tian Yu Garden (II phase)
136-146 Lin He Zhong Lu,
Tian He District, Guangzhou
---
also - review this page -
http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69&view=findpost&p=17472
All your parents need for the location and address.
---
They DO NEED to bring all forms and original documents that you submitted to NVC - is special requirement because of NVC Electronic Processing - they need -
I-864 with financial proofs
DS-230 with the 'white books' originals.
Since it is two people, GUZ IV expects to see 'two complete sets' of all - you may have some 'wiggle room' on only 1 set of the I-864, but I wouldn't risk it, if I were you - take two sets.
Good Luck !
*** moving to China Forum ***
Darnell, that is what I am thinking. Since I did not see the address on mom's appointment letter, I wanted to make sure.
Thank you!
just mom is coming. Dad is already a green card holder in US.
So one set docs is enough?
Christina

It will be at the U.S. Consulate. You can look up the address on their website.
Thank you
-
Does anyone know the interview location for electronic processing in Guangzhou?
I received the appointment date and time letter for Mom, but there is no address on it.
I guess it will be the same as the regular processing? "Guangzhou Tianyu"
Also, what kind of questions will be asking for IR/5 (partents)?
Thank you,
Christina

Ya, I'd say NVC made a mistake -
the covers on each white book are similar,
I'll guess they got confused, and did not understand what they SAW, was the actual notarial birth certificate.
Since it's been a week now, call NVC tonight, get a Human and inquire for status.
Good Luck !
Appearently, NVC made a mistake.
Called NVC today, I was told the case is under the final review.

Hi, this information will hopefully help you:
Available in the form of notarial certificates, which are secondary evidence. Notarial certificates of birth (Chu Sheng Gong Zheng Shu or Chu Sheng Zheng Ming Shu) for persons living in or recently departed from China are generally reliable, but are best used in conjunction with other evidence. They are most often based upon an AHHR, (Household Record) which is easily susceptible to fraud, especially in villages. Notarial birth certificates for persons long departed from China are most likely based merely upon the testimony of interested parties.
While some notarial birth certificates will list stepparents or adoptive parents along with natural parents, this is not always the case. In some cases, the certificates will list only the natural parents, covering up an adoption.
Some applicants will present notarial certificates of relationship (Guan Xi Gong Zheng [or Zheng Ming] Shu) in lieu of notarial birth certificates. These certificates of relationship are unreliable and tend to be based solely upon the testimony of interested parties. Notarial birth certificates should be required. Care should be taken with any certificate that lists step relationships. These relationships are as of the date of issuance of the certificate only. Marriage certificates should also be required.
I did email in Mom's Notarial Birth Certificate along with the DS-230 Package.
But NVC still request for the Birth Certificate of Mom.
Is it not the same?
Christina

Hi all,
It seems like NVC already accept my AOS I-864 package and DS 230 Package. Because I received an email from NVC requesting the beneficiary's birth certificate. Is it the birth certificate as the same as the notarial birth certificate? The beneficiary (mother) is in China. She was born in 1962. Back then, the government did not issue the Birth Certificate, especially like my mom was born in a samll village. What can I do now?
Thank you,
Christina

Called NVC today and talked to a human
Asked about the AOS package and DS 230 package...
I was told that they received two package from me, but they have not reviewed those two package
I should wait for another 2--4 weeks for processing...
Sigh...

Christina -
you are near the 'end game'.
some status ticks for you, in chronological order:
'login failed' - payment portal - Excellent sign that the DS-230 was accepted
'case complete' - NVC TeleOperator - must call NVC, get a Human.
'Appointment Letter sent' -via email to petitioner and beneficiary.
I'm forecasting you'll have a 'case complete' on Wendesday, with appointment letter on Friday, for now, assuming the DS-230 was sent in when you said it was.
Good Luck !
Wow...Wednesday??? I am looking forward to tell you this good news...
Thank you.

just for anyone following this -
Christina is doing NVC Electronic Processing - she's an I-130 to be handled at Guangzhou, China - an IR-5 for a parent - for the steps - see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing
----
Christina - good luck with the rest of it. Some of the China cases I'm tracking this week -
one had 'login fail' followed by 'case complete' followed by 'appointment date set' all this week.
another had 'login fail' followed by 'case complete', waiting on appointment date to be set, again - this week.
There was some slowdown at NVC in March , some internal process slowdown, but apparently it's picked up this week.
I'm thinking you'll have an appointment date set by Friday of next week - just a small forecast for you, based on what's been going down THIS week
Hi Darnell,
How do I know whether the appointment date is set or not?
Thank you,
Christina

Hi Christina,
ONE PHOTOCOPY OF EACH OF THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE.
It is also recommended to add one page cover letter when submitting these documents, stating your contact information, case number, and that you are applying for CR-1/IR-1.
Example cover letter:
http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/DS-230_Cover_Letter
Make sure to write you name and DOB at the back of photos.
Also, write in small your case number on top of every document with pencil. That way, if for some reason, which doesn't happen, they misplace any of your documents, they know where it belongs. The reason to write the case # on top is because they don't go by names, rather they look at the case #.
For detailed information related to the above list of documents, you may go to:
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html
Good luck!
Thank you for your info.
But i am doing the electronic processing.
Christina
I don't know the filing procedure for I 129 but with respect to the CR1 and I 130 process, you can't send NVC the DS230 until you first pay the AOS fill ($70) and submit the I 864 paperwork including thath I 864, letter of employment for the sponsor, tax transcripts of the current year plus two previous years, W2s and recent pay stubs. After that you get the DS230 package.
You mention you just got the NVC number and sent in the DS230. That is premature - again I'm speaking to the CR1 process.
Thank you for your info.
But i am doing the electronic processing.
Christina

Christina -
are you doing NVC Electronic Processing?
If so - the list looks complete.
If not Electronic Processing, then you need to submit PHOTOCOPIES, in addition, of the original white books .
Good Luck !

if it's been more than 11 days since sending off the OPT IN email -
email NVCElectronic@state.gov, with the casefile number (GUZ number)
the beneficiary's name and DOB,
your name and DOB,
and inquire about the status for OPTING IN.
Seems to have been a lag in 'conversion' these last 10 days.
Good Luck !
Hi, I got the response from NVC in regard of the OPTIN just now.
The case # is changed to GZO already.
Now, it is the time to send in I-864 and DS-230.
It is a good day today.

HI Missouri,
It is good news.
I would like to help my friend to start her 601A.
Would you be so kind to walk me through the procedure?
I had helped her paid for the AOS fee and IV fee and got copies of receipts from NVC already.
What is the next step i should do?
What kind of documents that you submitted along with you 601A package?
Thanks,
Christina
