  1. Christina - if you'd already sent in the OPT IN email.

you need to wait, before sending anything.

is ok to PAY on the GUZ number, but sending in, no, must wait.

you'll receive email notification about successfully opting in - when you get that, send off the email sets.

    Good Luck !

    +_+ Yea...I should wait...

    Thank you.

    Christina

  2. Christina - print out the form - HAND WRITE the info ANYWHERE on the piece of paper, then scan it in, prep for PDF format.

Seriously - ANYWHERE ON THE FORM.

    It's an ugly form.

    I agree with you..

    It is ugly...Lol

    Thank you very much.

I m now waiting for NVC to switch the case # from GUZ to electronic processing. N how long will it take? Can I email in the AOS Package and IV package under the GUZ case # instead of waiting for the Electronic case #?

I have too many questions. Sorry about this.

but i am not really sure what docs should I sent along with the I864 form.

Also, when can I send the DS-230?

    I am the petitioner.

Yes, I am filing two petitions at the same time.

    Thank you for your help.

    Christina<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hi Christina. I'm a little confused. Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary?

It looks like you have two different things going on.

    1) mother and 2) fiancee

Am I correct to assume that the I864 is for the "mother" process and the DS230 is for the "finace" process?

If your referring only to the finace process, then the beneficiary completes and sends the DS230 after receipt of packet 3 fromt he consulate. An I134 would be sent from the petitioner to the beneficiary for the interview.

I'm not familiar with the IR5 process.

Maybe you can clarify a bit more what is happening (or maybe I'm just a knuckle head and am missing it)

  4. all white books go with the DS-230 set. There is also GUZ P3 supplemental form - have your mother prep one and send to you, asap (via email) - link in the wiki page. It's an ugly form - must be: 1. printed out. 2. filled out by hand. 3. scanned back in. 4. emailed by Mom to YOU. 5. you bundle it in with the DS-230 email set.

re: white books - it's ONE BOOK per thing - so 1 book on the police certificate, 1 book on the birth certificate, etc etc.

with I-864 - its YOUR financial info. If you are not using a co-sponser, it's a bit easier.

IF you are using a co-sponser, you've got some work to do.

I've not made a checklist on this, but the entire document list is covered on the wiki. A general rule of thumb - if it's financial - it goes with the I-864 for AOS. If it's 'personal info on Mom' - it goes with the DS-230.

For GUZ-bound petitions - suggest you WAIT until you have GZO #, before emailing any of the document sets. You can know the casefile is converted by 'watching yer email' - you'll get notice via email about the conversion, WITH the new GZO casenumber. Alternatively, you can call NVC, get a Human, and inquire. USUALLY it's 5 to 10 working days to 'get converted' to GZO casenumber - so if you've already paid on the GUZ # - wait a bit more, till you have the GZO #, and prep yer emails whilst yer waiting.

    Good Luck !

    Thank you.

One more question, the GUZ P3 Supplemental form is just one sheet of paper. Where do I put the infomation?

  5. Do you want to use NVC Electronic Processing?

clink the link, have a read - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

NOTHING is sent in, via postal mail or UPS, FEDEX, DHL.

Yes...I will use NVC Electronic Processing.

I sent in an email to optin already. NVC replied. But the NVC case # is still not changing.

I paid AOS and IV fee online too. The status are shown as PAID.

Now, i am waiting for my Mom's police certificate.

I have a question,"the police cert. birth cert. of mom would be the white book, right? When do I email in these docs? Also, what docs should I email in along with I-864?"

Do you have a checklist for I-864 and DS-230?

    Thank you,

    Christina

  6. No more complicated then doing it by mail unless you have problems with scanning and email on either side. For my money, it's worth it to pay somebody to do the scanning in China to save the time.

    I appreciate your reply.

Already told Mom to pay for the docs scanning in a printing store.

Also, is the NVC going to ask for the original copy for all submitted docs? Or Mom is going to bring them to the embassy on the interview day?

    Thank you.

No. But you can always contact USCIS if you want/need one.

    Got it in mail today.

    Thanks.. :star:

  7. is Mom in PRC (China) ?

If so, you might want to take route of NVC Electronic Processing, instead.

    Have a read? http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing

You'll have to OPT IN to convert -but -

will shave off 60 to 120 days of waiting at GUZ, once NVC processing is finished.

    Good Luck !

    Yes...Mom is in P.R.China.

I am thinking about the Eletronic Processing.

    BTW, is it complicated?

    Thank you.

    Christina :star:

Nope, but if you want to have it call uscis and tell them you never received it. They will send you another.

Got it in mail today.

    Thank you very much.

    Christina

  8. I have sent the DS 3032 Via Email successfully. And NVC had responded already.

The IV and AOS invoice are generated and I have paid for them online today. They are in progress.

Howver, I have not received the hardcopy of the NOA 2.

    What can I do?

DO I NEED THE NOA 2 FOR THE PETITION PROCESSING IN THE FUTURE?

    THANK YOU.

    CHRISTINA

  9. We filled on the 20th of november and ours was approved on the 26th of feburay. It seems they are working on november as we speak so it shouldnt be long before you hear something.

    Good luck.

Edit: This thread should tell you all you need to know.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=226833

Our NOA1 was received on 11/3/2009, NOA 2 was received on 3/2/2010. Yours shouldnt be long. God bless you.

  10. If he is currently a legal resident of the Dominican Republic then that is where his interview will take place.

Note - he made need to return to China though in order to obtain the required police certificate and/or notarized birth certificate.

Does he need the single status statement for the I129F interview?

    Thanks

Yes he will need that as well. He will need to take his National ID card and Hokou (family registration) to the Police station where his Hokou resides in order to get a police certificate. Then he will need to take the Police certificate along with his national ID and Hokou to the Gong Zheng Chu, Public Notary Service where it will be translated into English and notarized. The Gong Zheng Chu will also produce the so called 'WHITE BOOK' (birth certificate) which contains a copy/extract that will attest and say when your fiance was born, that he is a boy, that his parents were XXXXX, and if parents deceased...etc. The Gong Zheng Chu will also produce the 'Unmarried' or 'Marriageability' Certificate for your fiance based upon the information contained in his Hokou.

    This is really helpful information.

You are very familiar with the policy in China.

    Thank you,

    Christina

  11. ya, interview will occur in the country where he's a legal resident. Review the copy of the I-129F that you sent in, make sure the DR is listed as 'adjudicating embassy' or the country for interview (whatever the heck it's called these days ) .

Pay attention to the NOA-2 document, as well, when it shows up.

    Good Luck !

Hi there, thank you for your wishes. And also do you mean the country for interview will appear on the NOA2?

    Christina

  12. Hi I am searching the web for helpful info. for my fiance's k-1 visa. I found this fantastic website.

I just became a us citizen through Natrualization. I am deciding to bring my fiance to the usa for marriage with K-1 Visa. We have been fall in love since 2001. He is a Chinese Citizen, but he is now legally residing in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

I sent out the I-129F petition on 10/30/09. But after that, someone said my fiance has to go back to China for the K-1 visa interview because he is a Chinese Citizen.

Does my fiance has to go back to the us embassy in China for the K-1 visa interview or he can apply for his visa in Santo Domingo?

I was calling and visiting some immigration lawyer in NYC, and they did not give me a certain answer for my question. I am worried about this.

I really appreciate that some one can help me with this.

    Best regards,

    Christina
