  4. Turkey is also much cheaper than Amman, Jordan or Beirut, Lebanon, which interestingly enough are outrageously expensive.

  5. Turkey, Istanbul. There are direct flights from Baghad to Istanbul, your fiancee can get Turkish Visa at the airport as long as the passport is new. I am visiting my fiancee in Turkey next month.

  12. How long did it take for your senator/congressperson to contact USCIS? I wrote one and then followed up with a telephone call and was told it would take 4-8 for them to process my request...which means to look at it! Then god knows how long it will take for them to actually do something. The people answering the phones at the congresspersons office are like high school students or someth...

  15. Wonderful. Told today by the USCIS that although they list 5 months time as processing for a I-129F, processing times as long as 6-8 months are not uncommon.
