    Good Afternoon;

Does anyone have any idea as to why the Visa Bulletins have slowed down for the F2B's

They used to move between 30 and 45 days each month, now the are moving 5-7 days.

    Will this be a pattern?

    Thanks

    Hi,

The waiting time for F2B is approximately 7 years. During this time it happens, that VB is moving very fast, then it slows down and sometimes even retrogress(just what happened to Philippines). This happens when the number of applicants increases in recent months, but still the time frame is around 7 years.

I would be happy, that at least it moves and I think, that you guys with PD March 2011 will have to wait at least half a year to get current, hopefully VB will move faster.

    Hey guys!

My interview was today in the morning, I wasss so nervous! At first it was really fast when you hand in the documents....but there was a long wait to speak to the consul and I was ....really nervous, cuz you could hear the interviews and some of them....didn't go so well

    .

Finally after waiting for probably an hour, they called me....and it was so fast, they just asked me like 4 questions about my petitioner, and if I was married, which Im not....and they said my visa was approved! I was thrilledddddddd.....I couldnt stop smiling!

    Thanks Exoticprincess

one more question do i need to call NVC or automatic ill recieve mail from NVC

    Hi,

The last 3 VB didn't move for Philippines (F1 and F2B). Someone from F2B with PD end of January hasn't receive IL yet. It means, that December VB might not move again or move very slightly for Phillipines. So if you haven't received your IL yet, it means that your PD won't be covered by December VB. I would suggest to wait and see new VB, which will be released in couple of days and answering your q, when your PD will become current your IL will be emailed to you or you can call NVC at the end of the month, when they start scheduling new interview appointments.

Thank you Lain! I got my medical results yesterday, they gave it to me in a sealed envelope to take it to the embassy.  Is it like that in every country?

Now im just waiting for some papers my dad is sending me, his naturalization certificate and marriage etc? They can just  be copies right? .... Im sending all my original certificates though, cuz its easier for me to get them here.

Best of luck to all of you, :jest:

I got sealed envelope as well, you'll be asked for it at the embassy. Just don't open it before;)

Those of us in the US how is the job hunting going? I am being told that they dont really care about your experience out of the US.

It depends where you want to apply. Some works require experience and in some others you get an additional training. I have come to the conclusion, that there is plenty of work, you just have the desire to work. Also, there are great opportunities to start your own business and I'm actually working on this idea:)

    Hi there,

I have a friend is applying for her parents right now. Visa category IR5. Her father has criminal record. When he was young, he had a fight with his neighbour and then he was in sentence for one year.

Will that hurt the immigration application? How should her proceed with the case?

    Thanks,

If it's still on his PC record, he'll need a photocopy of court record with it's translation to English if it's necessary.

My mom told me that at least in my embassy ( Peru ) the interview is in Spanish.  I have already asked my parents  and sister, about when did they first arrived to the US and When did they get their citizenship. Another question or something I should know?

    Let me know pls!

Other questions are simple, just basic about you. Also have an idea what you gonna do in US. Don't worry, you gonna be fine;)

    Hey guys!

On monday I had my medical ....  it was super long, lasted for almost 4 hours. They put me 3 shots, and my arm is still a bit sore ... Now im going to wait for the interview.

Is the interview in english? I have like no idea what year did my parents went to the US, maybe I should start asking this questions!

    Good Luck to everyone!

The interview is in English, but each embassy has a translator in case your English is weak.

Yes, start asking these questions, cause dates are important. In embassy and at the POE you might receive these questions: when your parrents received their GC, if you have ever been in the States? When?(I received this q at the POE). So, better be prepared;)

hi lain i called nvc they said they sent file in bngaldesh embassy and when any interview schedule  they will let me know . becoz bngaldesh embassy have to schdule  interview. I'm worried how long i have to wait

Hi, Khadija, check your case status on CEAC, if you'll see "In transit", then it means, that your documents been sent to your local embassy and you should receive your IL very soon. Usually NVC is scheduling an interview and only then send docs to the embassy. So please check that.
