15th September 2011
If you will remain in F1 it will take ~6 months to get visa, F2B ~1 year and ~7 more years for F3.
Check Visa Bulletin each month.

Hello Lain,
Thank you so much for the prompt response. Thanks for confirming that the PD will remain the same.
Could you please clarify whether I will get visa when the F3 category will become current or F2B category will become current? Thanks again.!
What is your Priority Date?

Hello Sir/Ma'am
I would need suggestion on my case. Any help with be appreciated.
My Father applied for me under F2B (Unmarried son over 21 years) when he was PR. He is a US Citizen now and he requested to convert the category from F2B to F1 and the PD was kept for F2B.
The category conversion was successful and it is F1 now. Few days back, I received an email from NVC regarding the processing of the file.
Queries which I have is:
1) If I get married now (i.e after the processing has started), I know that the Category will be changed from F1 to F3, however I would like to know whether the Priority Date (PD) will be retained or not.
I am asking this because, earlier, the conversion was from F2B to F1 (PD retained). Now it will be from F1 to F3 (Not sure whether the PD will be retained or not. From F1 will be forwarded to F3 only then if you will get married. Your PD will remain the same, but the waiting time to get visa will extend from 7 to 12 years.

I'm not sure in which stage you are right now and what's going on with your case, so it's hard to comment. Anyway, if your case won't be completed in one year, you'll have to resubmit your Police Certificate and you won't receive your visa even if your PD will be current. Long story in short: your visa will be delayed.

Mon avocat me demande d'envoyer les documents que j'ai déjà soumis à la CNV
Ok, trying to figure out, why he asked for additional documents? Did you or your attorney receive a Checklist(for some missing documents) from NVC? If yes, then you should submitt it, otherwise your case wouldn't be completed.

today my dad called they said it's in warning list wait of schdule we will inform u.i don't know how to be patient in this situation. I can't think anything positive anymore 😭
Maybe they said, that it's in their waiting list for scheduling an interview?
Do you know anyone from Bangladesh, even from other categories, who are current and still waiting for IL? Did your sister receive her IL? Looks like your local embassy is overloaded, thats why you are experiencing a delay. Don't worry and be patient, you will receive it soon.

By my experience, nobody after nov 22 2011 recieved IL for january. Even some people have PD early december still waiting for IL. It means the vb no moving or maybe move 7 days.
VB for January is not released yet, so I would hold on with conclusions. Some people who have PD in November are still waiting for their IL, even PD is current (I guess it depends from the country, local embassy and etc.)

very disappointing movement .. do u think it will move fast 2nd quarter ..
The waiting period has always been at least 7 years, so you still have ~2 years of waiting no matter VB moves slowly or faster at this time.

I am not sure that all the above is accurate. I read in the immigration section of US laws that if you are in US validly and recieve notification of interview for immigration visa you can go to US office somewhere and apply for adjustment of status and get it done here
You will receive notification of interview when your PD will become current and you still have to wait at least 1 year for that. Looks like she'll have to give a birth in Moscow and then to add the baby as a derivative.

Wow.! Lekankesh congrats. Am also Nigerian. Am surprised you've received your IL. Which means they don't really follow the visa bulletin cos the bulletin still shows 1st of Feb for F1category or maybe the Lagos immigrant visas on cue is not much for 2011. My pd is July 2011. Also got Case complete in september but 29th. Hoping to get IL early next year. But if i get IL this month, it will be a miracle. 😁😀. Wish you all the best.
It means, that January VB will move forward at least till 8th of March 2011.

hi called today. they said I have to wait one week of o didn' hear anything then I should .call again after one week. basically in waiting. why does it mean ?
They schedule interviews from 27th till 8th, so it means, that your interview isn't scheduled yet, but I would expect to receive IL at the end of this week, if not, then give a call next week, as they suggested you. Good luck

Wife filed for unmarried daughter received a letter saying I-130 was received. March 10 2017 have not heard anything since then the preference classification says 203 A2B INA Adult Child of LPR...What can I expect next? Any idea of wait time...Thank you...
Next will be the 2nd Notice of action from USCIS (approval letter), it takes ~2 years to approve it and send to NVC where it will remain till your priority date will become current.
You can track your PD here:

While checking visa application status at ceac.state.gov, it says the case is at NVC. However the case has already been completed. Does anyone know when it gets changed to consular office or something? We received a case complete letter a while ago, but still waiting for the PD to be current.
When you'll receive your IL and your case will be forwarded to the local embassy, only then status will change to "Transferred".

I'd f2b visa bulletin always moving slow , only one week movement?
No, it wasn't always moving slowly, but the last year it slowed down. It must be due to many reasons:
1. Higher applicant demand;
2. More opt-outs from F1 to F2B (as we all know, that F2B was moving forward faster and F1 was backlogged);
3. Visas allotted to other categories.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and currently the PD for F2B is 01JUL06. My PD is 15FEB2007 last month's PD is 01JAN07 does this mean I will wait again from JUL06 up to JAN07 for my PD to be current? I'm confuse why the PD for Philippines moves backwards.
Yes, you must wait from 01JUL06 till your PD will become current.
It explains why retrogression happened:
E. RETROGRESSION OF PHILIPPINES FAMILY-SPONSORED
PREFERENCE CATEGORIESThe Philippines F1 and F2B final action dates had been advanced very rapidly during the course of the past year in an effort to generate sufficient demand to fully utilize all available numbers. In recent months the amount of applicant demand being received has been increasing at a steady pace. The level of such demand has reached a point where it has become necessary to retrogress each of those final action dates in an effort to hold number use within the annual limit for these preference categories.

Well, I hope, that you get married when your category was already F1(F2B can't get marry, otherwise the petition would be withdrawn).
You had to wait, complete visa process, receive GC and only then to get married. Then you should have received your GC in ~6months, then to petition your spouse (F2A) what would have taken additional~2 years to get GC. This way would be ~3 years faster than F3, but now you just have to follow F3. Btw, this timeframe doesn't apply for Philippines and Mexico.
