Thank you you for your help. Do you happen to know how long is the period of time between telling me about the exams and the exam time?
-
Hi everyone,
I'm applying for citizenship, I wonder if there are any cover letter samples i can use to write my own?
also, for the exams later on, if they accepted my application, are the questions multiple choices or they ask and i answer from what i memorized ?
last thing, regarding evidence and papers needed to be filed, i've been collecting papers like ( child's birth certificate, my US spouse's birth certificate, costco cards, insurance cards, car insurcance, car loan, IRS for the last 3 years, leases, random bills with our names on them, mariage papers, approval from US embassy to get married, bank account showing our names, plus of course the application, cashiers check and 2 pictures.
Am I missing something? and is it ok to skip pictures of myself, my spouse and our child and also mail from friends?
Thank you everone for your help and time.

I'm eligible to apply for citizenship, gathering the papers now and sending the application soon.
Will i be informed when will the exams be, if i got accepted? and how long is the period between notifing me and the exam itself?
Thank you everyone for your help.

Can i make paper work to bring my sister ( had tourist visa to USA for almost the last 10 years ) to immigrate to USA.
I wanted my sister to immigrate to USA and stay with me here, because she got no one back in our oiginal country.
If its possible, what paper work do i need and most important how long would it take to get her the green card.

I filed my removal of conditions on the 29th of may 2012 and according to the California timeline, it should take 6 months.
today is the 29th of November 2012. I check my status online and its still initial review, should i call and check by phone or just wait and ill get a result eventually?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I called USCIS, they said that the new address will be the mailing address. hopefully that wont make any delays.
So, ill do change of address when i move.

I'll be coming back here to check the mail weekly for sure.

I will change my address when my lease for this apartment ends at the end of February. Technically, I'll be living in both addresses. that's how i felt about it.
Do you think i should do the online AR-11 anyway?
Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone,
i hope I'm posting this question in the right forum.
I applied for I-751 at the end of May 2012, according to the California service center, it should take 6 months but I'm not sure 6 months from date of entry or from date they received my application.
Another question, I'm going to move to another state in 2 weeks, ( I live in IL, going to IN and I'll be keeping the old address till the end of February 2013 )should I inform them of change of address, because i know they will mail me through the address written on I-751 form anyway?
I'm just afraid that, they will think I hid changing my address from them, which is not the case. I'm just trying to have smooth case without more paper work to do and less confusion.
Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hi everyone,
I sent my I-751 form at the end of May, and I went to get my biometrics taken already. My spouse found work in a different state, moved there alone and would come back in the weekends, but we are going to move to that state soon, so we all can be together raising our son.
My question is, would it be a problem if I informed the USCIS that we will be needing to move to a different state soon. Would they make it a problem that my spouse been in a different state for almost the last 3 months ( except the weekends )?
Also, we are intending to keep the old apartment till the end of the lease anyway, we were thinking about just moving and some of our friends would come and check our mail from now and then. Is there a point of telling them till God willing they send the new green card and then ill change the address?
I don't think its a big deal, i just wanted to make sure that im not missing anything.
Thank you everyone for your help.

Thank you everyone,
I was talking about the federal taxes.
So ill just send the tax papers to the USCIS ( copy of what we sent to the IRS, because we can't get the transcripts within reasonable time ).
and after that, ill just start the papers to amend my taxes.
Thanks again, been a great help.

Hi everyone,
As evidence required for I-751 form, Would it be a problem if we filed as married but separately, because we will lose a 1000$ if we filed jointly?
We already filed jointly and we got a mail back from the IRS saying we will lose 1000$, because we can't file jointly and also count one of us as dependent, but we got a chance to amend it.
Thank you everyone for your time.
