Well, she can take him but 7 days off from work won't be enough. It will be 2 days to go there, 2 days to come back and 3 days to stay, which will be much worse for my father than simply waiting till he comes here and spend some time with my son rather than forcing and rushing to know him then in 3 days they are apart again.
Thank you everyone for your advice.

Hi Everyone,
I've became a USC about 2 - 3 years ago and due to work, college and other life difficulties, I couldn't take a vacation to go back home so my dad can meet his grandson ( 6 year old ).
My father applied for a tourist visa 2 times and been rejected with the reason that the embassy can't guarantee that you will come back (rejections were given in word not on paper).
Note: my mother and 2 sisters have tourist visas to USA, UK, Australia and none of us ever thought about never going back to our country.
I was thinking about writing a letter to the ambassador explaining the situation and how grandchild shouldn't be prevented from knowing his grandfather because of a denied visa.
My father is 60+ years old, which would make it difficult for a man at this age to overstay his visit.
Is there a sample letter that I can take a look at, are there any ideas or a certain way to address this issue? I know this might not work at all, but I would appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance for your help and time.

ok, so don't listen to this guy. just file a form at a time.
Thank you

I did talk with someone and he mentioned that he does file all of the forms that I've listed above at once and the process goes much faster than sending on form at a time (he helped alot of people doing the same thing, it wasn't just one time incident ). I never done that, the way I know is file and wait for an answer then send next form and so on. Thats why I was asking if that really would work?

She is not here now. but hopefully in a month or so.
And won't they ask for I-485, I-693, and I-131 later on ?
I do remember when I was filing my papers, I filed a document then I would be mailed back asking for another form, and i would fill it and send it and then they would ask for another form and so on. Can I avoid all of that and send all forms with supporting documents all at once and that way we would shrink down the waiting times in between filing each form separately?

Good afternoon everyone,
I've been an American Citizen since a year ago, I've been trying to get my father to visit so he can see his grandson, but everytime we apply for tourist visa, he gets rejected, we also send an invitation letter with but its not working.
Is there an official form to fill so he can travel to USA for a month other than the tourist form. We don't want to do the immigration forms just yet.
Thank you in advance for your time and help,

Thank you everyone, but I can't find but forms to bring in Siblings and children to US. Are these the same forms to bring parents to US?

Good morning Everyone,
I became a US citizen a year ago. I'm trying to bring my family over to USA to be with me.
What are the needed forms to start that process.
And is it really difficult to start such process for my sister? ( 27 years old, visited England and USA numerous times)
Thank you everyone in advance for your help and time,

Hi everyone,
I got an initial interview very soon for citizenship, I wanted to ask couple of questions if anyone would know the answer to them.
Do I only know the questions and answers in the civics booklet, or do i have to also know everything written in the explaination below?
For the English exam, what should i expect?
After the interview, whats next?
Thank you everyone for your help and time.

Thank you, do u think taking my son and wife with would be a good idea, and yes it is based on marriage.

Hi everyone,
I got a letter for a citizenship interview at the end of january.
I was wondering what to expect? what to bring with? how to prepare? I got a booklet with about 100 questions, i only need to know the answers, but i dont have to be 100% familiar with the history behind the answers, right ?
and one last question, if accepted, is there any other interviews? is the oath on the same day as the interview?
Thank you everyone for your time and help.

its ok, still good enough time, thanks
-
okay, i think thats good time to study for the civics exam
thank you everyone for your time and help

so when they inform me of that interview/test, whats the period of time between the letter i receive and the test date?
I-864/A questions about Annual Income
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
Hi,
I'm having trouble answering the following question on form I-864
Page 6, Part 6, question 19a.b and c
its asking about:
MY total income (adjusted gross income on IRS form as reported on the tax returns for the most 3 years)
On the tax return transcript I have the annual of both mine and my spouse, is it ok to fill enter these numbers or do i take my annual income separate as written on the W2 and place it there?
same question for form I-864A. Page 2, part 4, questions 2a.b and c.
What should I write here as well, just our annual income or just my spouse's annual income as shown on the W2.
FYI: we fill jointly every year.
My concern is if i write just mine and my spouse's annual income separate, will the immigration employee be adding them up to get the total of the household for these years to get a better shot saying that we can afford to support my father?
Thank you
