hey all..
I am new to this forum...really nice to share ur experience here..i'm the person same boat like u guys..I am LPR,we filed I130 last march 2006 for my husband..last week i got the letter for evidence from Vermont. So anybody knw how long itz gonna take??The wait is almost unbearable..
thank you...
God bless!!!
Hello Pretty2009,
Tis nice to see more pple log on to this thread. Say Pretty2009, what does ur letter of evidence say? are they asking for a kind of proof on your documents or what? I dont think anyone of us have ever had that before. Or is that a kind of RFE (Request for Further Evidence)?
If you can let us know what it is maybe someone can be of help.
I am with the Carlifornia Centre and my Priority Date is Dec. 26 2006, andam thinking our Choice of Agent forms should be close to arriving now.
Cheers!

Hi everyone
This is first time I m writing u guys. Please help me with ur valuable opinions.I m a permant resident and waited 5 years for my husband to join me here. Finally that day i mean his interview day came and after 5 years of wait we lost that. I was actually previously married but i never mentioned that in I-130 because the marriage was just a piece of paper,I never met that guy it just happened so i always took that as a nightmare.I wanted to get an escape from that fact. I got divorced and remarried again. Now i didnt tell my husband that not to tell this on your interview. He told this to interviewer, the interviewer first said that submit ur wife's divorce certificate along with ur passport and we will issue u the visa. But after couple of days my husband got this thing in the mail that submit ur documents to NVC usa.Now i dont know what they want to do,either they gonna make a big deal of this thing and deny my I-130 or what,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?
Please please help me out ,I am very stressed ,Does it mean that i have to wait another 5 yrs.
Thank you.
What a shame! But which divorce certificate did ur hubby now give to them? Honestly i really wished u had rehearsed better with each other. Having said that, i do not think they will outrightly withhold ur visa from u without giving u a fair chance of defending ur story.
Hang in there.

Goodmorning vj family! even I cant afford to see this thread going away.. thats why once in a while i tend to put anything even just saying HI so this thread will not slip away..... me and p!lya are keeping in touch outside VJ and she's doing very good.. she's done with all her visa process and made it perfectly.... and the whole family is leaving for USA 2nd week of October i believe....
I myself is even excited to read her next post.... i mean the details of her interview and stuff... but i'm sure she's busy enough preparing for her trip coming here in the US with the whole family...... let's continue praying for their safe trip to the LAND OF MILK AND HONEY they say!

Hi all,
the new USCIS website is much harder to use - I did not see anymore anything about any dates processing i-130 for lpr's spouse. The only data that they have now is in months. It seems that they are going to have the approval time (of I-130's F2A petition prefference) done in 5 months (goal).
USCIS National Goal - 5.0 Month(s)
USCIS National Average - 41.6 Month(s)
California Service Center - 40.1 Month(s
Vermont Service Center - 43.0 Month(s)
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to give you an update. I called the NVC today and got my case # through the automated system.
My case was approved on 10-August-2009.
Congrats, I am so happy for you and the rest of us waiting, really good news.
)) Yeah, you are so close now.
Hi! im new in this forum, im an LPR spouse, my husband filed my petition last dec 26, 2006 & my priority date was DEC 22, 2006...i got a letter from NVC last June 10, 2009 that my case has been approved & issued me my case # MNLXXXXX...im under California Service Center...
from that time til now i haven't received any letter from NVC, i learned that we have to wait for out priority date to become current, 6-9 months b4 for us to receive the DS-2030, affidavit of support, DS 230 etc..
im happy that i have found this very informative site...thanks guys for sharing ur experiences!
Hi. Nice to read your mail. We do have similar timeline. Like i posted in my last mail, my priority date is DEC 26 2006, and i got the approval 20 MAY 2009. Got the NVC letter with case number LGSXXXXXXX..... and am also under California Service Centre!
I think it'll be good to keep up with each other's timeline we might be each other's best informant.
What did u mean by : [size=3]i learned that we have to wait for out priority date to become current, 6-9 months b4 for us to receive the DS-2030, affidavit of support, DS 230 etc..
Let's keep the hope alive.
Hi admire! yeah, we have almost the same Priority date! & d same service center...
...about what i said earlier that we will receive the DS 2030, affidavit etc, 6-9 months b4 our priority becomes current,..i dont have basis on this, but i just known from my friend d same category w/ me which is F2a....so f thats correct we will be expecting papers when NVC post in the bulletin for march 2006-june 2006....so maybe nxt yr hopefully...f u want just add my email ad...jn8_07@yahoo.com, so we can chat & update each other...
& if u will notice in the NVC bulletin last Aug. 09- they processed JAn 15, 2005 on Sept. 09- they processed April 15, 05 & for Oct. 09- They processed June 1, 2005... so within 3 months from August to October 2009 -they issued visa 6 months JAn-June 2005....so its great news for everybody that the processing now is getting faster...
Thanks for that clarification and for that piece of information of them working thru 6 months visa with 3 months! anyways, i would keep in touch via the private mail.
Funny, i dont feel so alone in all of this anymore.
Cheers!!

Hi all. I am new to this forum and really did a lot of search b4 i finally found a link with i-130 applications for spouses of LPRs, and am really grateful to read all the encouraging progress from everyone.
Well, my story goes:
My hubby became an LPR in Oct 2005. We filed for i-824 in May of 2006 and got approved. I was asked to go to my local US embassy which was Lagos, and there i was turned back because they said the fiscal year for my hubby's visa lttery ended in sept 2005, and that i could only have benefitted from the i-824 (following-to-join) b4 the end of that 2005 sept.
Eventually we filed for the i-130 in Dec 2006 (having wasted 14 whole months!),and our receipt date was Jan 05 2007. Got the first NOA1 about 1 couple of weeks. Heard nothing for so so so so so looooooong.... Until May 21 2009, we got the approval notice.
Got a letter date June 04 2009 from NVC, and it's been all quiet since then.
I was happy reading Pilya'scontribution and really really really want to hang on to her words that one year is probably what the wait would be, cosi was thinking maybe it was one year for her seeing as her case had really been long in waiting in the first place! 2004????!!!!
To Pilya also, how was ur interview? do u think u can share that experience with us too? and do u mind filling out ur timelinefrom after the receipt of the NOA2 too? I know, u must be pretty busy preparing to leave for the US by now, isn't?
Pls doea anyone know if the refusal of my approved i-824 by my local embassy could be contested anywhere?
Thank you, and hoping to read some responses to this post.
anyone LPR who file i-130 for spouse...

Hi there,
I dont think it takes that long anymore. The main thing after paying ur AOS bill, u should then have your form IV form and then ur interview letter. U are closer than u think.
