Kingston, Jamaica from $89 one-way on JetBlue
Book by: November 4th
Jamaica is as well-known for its relaxed vibe and white-sand beaches as it is for reggae and rum. JetBlue recently introduced a new route from New York City to the Jamaican capital of Kingston and, in celebration, they're offering flights for $89 one way. Book by November 4th and plan to travel before December 9, 2009 in order to take advantage of this deal. Although the peak season in Jamaica begins toward the middle of December, if you take advantage of this deal to travel to the island earlier in the month you'll benefit from lower hotel rates and less crowded beaches.

Hey everyone
Just got married Sept 25th to the love of my life. We have decided that because we have a business in Jamaica where my hubby is from, to stay there. I am however a American/Canadian citizen. I'm flying down there in a week. But I'm wondering if anyone knows the best way to do it. Do I book a ticket and then get an open ticket??? What do I tell the immigration when I land? How do I apply for residency now that I am married to my Jamaican husband?? Any help would be GREATLY appreciate. I've heard good things about this site from a few friends of mine that frequent here and thank you in advance for your help. I know most people are immigrating TO the US..so this is a bit backwards LOL...but hopefuly someone is kinda familar with the process.
Thanks

do you get the Certificate(s) of Non-Impediment to Marriage the same place you get the police report??? can someone let me know where to get this certificate and what is it??? THONKZZZ
I don't know if you got the info or not
Certificate of No-Impediment to Marriage
The document is required by post for all Jamaica-resident immigrant visa applicants over age 18 in categories requiring them to be unmarried. The certificate may be obtained from the RGD in the same manner as described for a birth certificate. The document appears on security paper of a different type than that for the marriage, birth, death and adoption certificates. The security paper for the Certificate of No-Impediment to Marriage is 8.5 x 11 inches in size. Post no longer accepts the older, typed version, which appeared on RGD letterhead. I read other threads that sya it cost about 100.00 I do not know if that is JMD or US I am assuming JMD
