    i-601 waiting time in Moscow

    Hello, fellow VJs!

    Unfortunately my bride was not issued a visa since she needs to submit I-601 with statements of hardships and other bs. As far as evidence of ongoing relationship and other criteria, CO told her she has no problem with that but needs to be done the right way. Bureaucracy !!!! Anyway, the docs were submitted, fees paid and sent to Moscow since the local USCIS field office is there. How long will my misery continue ? Any idea ??? Thanks for a reply.

    Hello! Quick question. In case if my fiancee needs to file additional forms like I-601 she needs to pay additional fee for these forms. Do you know, what forms of payment may be accepted? To send a check drawn at the US bank is way too expensive and inconvenient. Can she pay cash at the embassy? Thanks if u can post a link or something. For example the form i-601 required check drawn at the US bank. but at the same time there are other options available. Thanks !!!!

    Hello, Guys !

    My fiance is going to Interview in mid december and here are few questions

    1- DS - 230 not required?

    2- i-601 . She was denied tourist visa few years back and there is a need to file I-601. Anyone dealt with it? There wasn't any mention of submitting form I-601 on her behalf, but we want to be ready . Any suggestions?

    3- Evidence of engagement. What to write in DS -156K under this question ? There wasn't ring or anything. I just asked her to marry me . We met few times during last 6 months on different occasions and I met her family as well she met mine. Have photos , receipts, etc. But there is no ring or receipt for it Any suggestions?

    4- Medical exams. Any statue of limitations ? 1 month in advance is ok? Do they require translation of vaccination records from local clinic?

    VSCvictim...I see you have finally started your own thread for this question(s) and that is good. adding your questions to existing threads (especially pinned topics) is a very poor way to get answers to your questions. Also you need to listy your fiancee's country in your profile so your threads get listed in the Ukraine portal where other Ukraine members will see it when they sign on. I mean the general forums are fine, but directing it to the country portal will get you specific answers for your consulate and that is what you need.

    1. Not required in Kiev for a K1

    2. Not an issue. Nearly everyone gets denied tourist visas in Ukraine. Nothing needed, no need to mention it, it will not be asked about

    3. Update your fiance(e) letters of intent from the petition. Probably won't be needed but do it anyway and bring them with

    4. No. She should bring her vaccination records with her to the medical. They will transcibe these onto the DS 3025. You will need this for the AOS not for the visa interview and she will keep this form. Don't lose it.

    good morning ! question : Does the congressional inquiry at NVC speed up some process? This AP at NVC sucks. Anyone did it ? Any results ?

    If you want to try a different tactic, you could try faxing a letter to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Services or, one step higher on the DOS food chain, the Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs.     Why are you filing it? Your case was sent to NVC and should be on its way to the consulate soon as long as you dont end up in AP like we did. If you call NVC they likely have already sent your case on to the consulate.

    I am not filing it just a little bit of confusion over letter. that all. it saying that my case forwarded to consulate not NVC I was wondering if everyone gets the same.

    Hi , Guys ! Today i got a hard copy of NOA2 and it said that my petition was forwarded to the listed consulate. But I know for a fact that my docs are at NVC where I have been assigned a new case number. Why is that and if anyone knows and filed i-824 should I do the same. My attorney told me to disregard this since its a standard letter they send everyone. Thanks for advice and help.
