  1. Hi, do you think it'll be ok if I send the copies of all the tax information my accountant prepared? Or is it best to send the transcript sent by the IRS?

    Thanks!

    Hi Emma.

There are two types of Tax Transcripts. You can order them online, by telephone or in person. I ordered them on-line and received them in less than a week.

The transcripts can be short (2 pages) a cover letter and a listing of only the most important information. The other will be many pages, up to 10 pages depending on the complexity of the return.

    1) Long one

    Tax Return Transcript provides most

line items from your original return.

    2) Short one

    Tax Account Transcript provides

    basic info, including marital status,

type of return filed, AGI, taxable income, and later adjustments, if any

The short one works well as it will list the filer's names and filing status and that is all you need. See weblink below.

    Good luck.

LET THEM READ ALL OF THE 5,000, 000 PAGES!! haha...

You can be pretty convincing with half of the stack of statements, just make sure you space them out, give it continuity through out the last few years, if you will. Send the first month, skip two, send the month after that, etc. Or you can be iron-clad and send em all. They wanted evidence, they will get it!

  3. We had a RFE too for my husband's ROC, on our letter it stated any bank statement from the date of marriage to present so I sent in ALL the pages from the month we got married until the month we mailed the information in. I highlighted and put arrow stickers on pages showing where he was added to the accounts, when he started getting direct deposit for his paychecks and paying for different things. We have alot of pages each month too, the RFE response was 2 inches thick when we submitted it in.

GREAT ADVICE! I am also going to send in every single thing related to our taxes...

  4. Hi everyone,

I am gathering our documents to send in for the RFE my husband and I received a few weeks ago. Basically the RFE is for more joint financial records (and birth certificates for children we don't have).

The extra evidence they are asking for includes: "Copies of bank statements that reflects joint savings and /or checking accounts to include the transaction pages for each bank statement provided for 2010, 2011, 2012." Does this mean to send in every bank statement from every month in these 3 years? The average bank statement that we have per month is 10 pages, so I'm wondering if this is excessive...?

    Thanks!!

  5. Hi everyone,

I am currently applying for food stamps. I am the USC, my husband is currently in the process of AOS. I know that receiving food stamps is a means tested benefit, therefore he is NOT eligible for food stamps. I currently filling out the application online, and it asks for number of people in our household. I do NOT want to say there are two (him and I) because then they will calculate this for 2 people. I JUST WANT THE FOOD STAMPS FOR ME. Should I just say the number of people in the household is 1? I don't want to have problems with the state of IL, what should I do?

    THANKS!

  7. JUST FOUND IT NEVER MIND!!

    Hi,

Forgive me for having to post this. I have been searching, but just can't seem to find the thread for I-751/AOS JUNE 2012 FILERS. Can someone please post the link and/or any other links related to filers for that time period?

    Thank you so much!!

P.S. GOT AN RFE. WE WERE ASKED TO SUBMIT BIRTH CERTIFICATES (no kids!) AND MORE FINANCIAL JAZZ...

    :(

    :(

    :(

  8. Don't panic, you will be ok.No.he does not have to leave the country

if you don't receive your NOA till June 30.Just wait to see what happens and if you don't get anything by

June 20th let's say, call USCIS to find out what is going on.Have they cashed your

    check yet?

For sure. They haven't cashed our check yet!! Ergh...

Well, there is delay on sending NOA in CSC right now. Check out I-751 May 2012 Filers thread. Many CSC filers haven't gotten their NOA yet and they are discussing about that matter...

    Thank you for the link!

  9. Hi guys,

I just sent my husband's I-751 packet this past Friday. (####### it's delayed at the PO in California!!) My husband's GC expires June 30. Assuming that there aren't any problems, will this be ok do you think? What will happen to us if they're still processing our stuff and his GC expires? Will he have to go back? Can anyone hook me up with a link for what to expect while waiting for them to finish processing?

    THANKS!!

  10. Yea, we've definitely moved a couple of times and this is only the FIRST time we'll have filed a change of address form. That's cool right? I mean, like I said in the explanation I'll just say that we lived there but didn't file an adjustment because we were literally 20 minutes away from g-parents' and blah, blah...

    I appreciate your help!

I think the explanation should be acceptable. I am the non-USC and I have moved so many times in the past that sometimes I simply forgot to file the AR-11 within the 30 days it says you're supposed to. :bonk:

I've never had any trouble from USCIS about filing the AR-11 late.

And, no, planning to file does not count as having a pending application. It only counts when they have officially received your package.

  11. It's better to file the AR-11 now than never! :)

Also, actually, the change of address form for the USC sponsor is called i-865. (I don't think you can e-file this one..)

What I would do ise-file the AR-11 for your husband, mail the i-865 for your grandfather and yourself (but make copies of both first)

Then send all 3 change of address copies with your i-751.

Super! Thanks so much for your help.

Just filed the AR-11 and now will do my part (I-865), and have my grandfather file that when the date gets closer to the move. Will we have trouble since the bills and lease I'll be submitting are from a year ago? I guess since I am required to submit an attached explanation I will state that we chose to use grandparents' address as our permanent address, but now that we are settled in permanently we're deciding to change it?

Sorry to be so nervous, but you know how USCIS is...

LAST QUESTION! After filing the AR-11, I was asked if I currently have a pending application, and if I do to continue filing another thing. I have not yet sent anything to USCIS, but will in the next few days. Does this count as pending? (I've attached a screen shot)

    MUCHAS GRACIAS!!

  12. Cool! Thanks for the response. You think it's ok to submit the AR-11 so close to the expiration of my husband's visa? (We're already within our 90 days before expiration--06/30/2012.)

And g-father should definitely file his AR-11 either way right?

    I appreciate it!

SORRY!! Also, do my husband and I need to file AR-11 separately too?...since he's the beneficiary and I'm one of the co-sponsors?

  13. Hello to everyone, I have a question and I wasn't able to find an answer so far so maybe you can help me.

My fiancée made 18000 last year and we are going to be 3 people total in the household, (Him, me and my daughter) from what I understand he has to make 23500 (not the exact number but around it) my question is, if I get a co-sponsor how much he has to demostrate he makes? He has to be working? or can he be retired? It is enough if he demostrates 5300?

Thanks to everybody and have a great journey!!!!

    Alejandra

    I don't believe that it's supplemental.

Your co-sponsor should also make whatever the percentage above poverty line it has to be.
