OKflyboy got a reaction from mine02 in My 221g update status
In my father's case there was no updates for 10-12 days and then they requested more papers.
The original reason for 221g was that the NVC never forwarded the joint sponsor's documents to the consulate, so I had to obtain them all over again and then mail via USPS.

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4.
AOS papers should be separate in the case of two IR-5s also.
To be safe I would probably file the regular one, which I did. But this is something to think about.

As long as you (or someone else) can sponsor them both, go ahead. You can file for any number of relatives.

The stamped letter serves as proof that you have done biometrics. You keep it.

Yes, you have to send them the original/certified copy of you marriage contract/certificate AND the same for the divorce document. No matter how many times you have been married and divorced, no matter how long ago.

You can email or call them to correct this. Do it as soon as possible. Certainly before you mail off the document packets.

Termination message is a fluke. Don't worry about it. Just wait a couple more days. A lot of people here got the same message.
If you are not the beneficiary and you fill out any form, you have to list yourself as the person who assisted the beneficiary in filling out the form. There's no harm in that. NVC knows perfectly well that our parents often have no English on them and/or no internet. Lying to NVC, on the other hand, is not a good idea.

No, you don't need her signature in ink. But remember to fill out the space for "who helped you prepare this form". I'm assuming you will do that?
The biographic data page of the passport should double in English. I've never seen an Armenian passport though:) Russian ones do.
You can make all the photocopies yourself and you also can translate everything yourself if you are able and certify the translation yourself too. Everything that is not in English has to be translated.
You also have to submit your birth certificate and your marriage certificate (if any).
You need your mom's marriage and divorce/death of spouse/whatever applicable documents too.

Three days. Although the case number could have been assigned before I got through to NVC and received it, possibly the Friday before. Three business days nevertheless.

Yes. You have to use it. If your papers get there before the payment clears, they'll just hold them. But that's unlikely, the payment clears in 2 business days.

I'll ask my mom to send me whatever papers she has with numbers on them and I will translate them.

He could be a joint sponsor if the taxes were filed separately. As it is, the husband's income is the family's income and counts for the wife.
It can get pretty confusing though:) I've been doing immigration since 2004 and still have questions.

You can fill them out yourself. I doubt most of the parents with no English on them can do it. There is a line there where you put your name as the person who helped.

Not as a derivative. Your mom will have to file I-130 for your sister after she gets her green card. The wait now is about 2 years.
I have a 6-year-old brother that my mom can't bring, and my mom is his only family there. And he has a disability that requires special care. It's pretty frustrating. We don't know what we are going to do yet.

Nothing for me yet... Don't even know what to tell my mom. I can't tell her it's gonna be another five months just for I-130, she'll have a breakdown.
As for the story. I have a friend who came to the US as an exchange student in high school in 1992 and eventually married her classmate. A few years later her husband happened to be working with a guy that became his best friend. They decided to introduce him and me. My friend came to visit Russia in the summer of 2001 and took a few of my pictures with her. In May of 2002 I received the first letter from my future husband. I did not have email access or even a telephone, so we corresponded by the old fashioned paper snail mail. Later I was able to use internet about once a month and a phone every couple of months. In the summer of 2004 we decided that we were gonna get married. He came to Russia in October of 2004 and we got married a week later after having known each other in person for, well, a week. He went back to the US two days after the wedding and next time we saw each other was when I came to the US in February of 2006. Been happy ever after:)
I went to see my parents once in almost 8 years I have lived here, in July of 2008.

I will ask my questions here, since they are related.
I filed for my mother. I am not employed and thus have no income. My husband and I file taxes jointly.
Do I fill out I-864 as the sponsor and put my income as zero and my husband fills out I-864a as household member, or do I fill out I-864 and put my husband's income as mine/joint?
The other question will be, do they consider the beneficiary's income, if it is from outside the US? Like pension, for example.

Your husband's income counts as houshold member's. Besides, you can use a joint sponsor, if your husband's income and yours combined still do not meet the poverty level standards.
I don't have any personal income at all.

Passport book comes separately. Sorry about your CON. It's mailed First Class, so there's no insurance on it, I'm afraid. You should probably find your mail person and ask them if they got it damaged or it happened en route from the PO to your home. I don't think the passport lady at the PO will know anything. She accepted and mailed your application. She did not have anything to do with the return of your CON. You definitely should file a complaint with USPS. Call customer service

    I'm so sorry.
I can kind of understand them denying a fiancee visa the first time, but to deny a visa to a pregnant wife or a wife with a newborn when the father says he's the father?
