  1. Who said you cant come here till you get your NOA2? you can come here whenever you want.

I'd say she's under orders from her husband so that she can keep whatever sanity she still has HAHAHA

Deb, exactly the reason I am learning Spanish. Jobs.

I'm a personal trainer, but the pay structures are VERY different in the US compared to the luxurious pays we get here in Aus, so I'm considering maybe some customer service type of role, somewhere, but a majority require Spanish as well... Ah well

Customer service seems like the highest paid entry level job. I mean, I COULD sell gym memberships for $8/hour HAHAHA I don't think so.

Back in the day when I was selling gym memberships I was on a $40K salary plus uncapped commission.

Someone tell me WHY I'm even bothering with moving to the States again?:bonk::rofl:

  2. agreed, it's very demotivating to hear of people being approved especially when they filed after you. I remember EARLy on in our waiting process, someone was approved in 17 days!!!!! I immediately called my wife and told you of the possibly good news that we might receive an approval sooner than we thought.

    Oh, how naive I was!!!

I guess, you do have to remember that they allow 5 months.

The officers still have a duty to approve all cases, whether they be simple or one of the thickest files known to man

    Patience is the key.

When it comes to the end of Feb / Beginning of March, THEN start pissing up a wall... Until then, be patient. It'll only take longer with the more stress you create over it :star:

  3. My wife and I constantly pray for those of you who are still in the process, whether it be USCIS, NVC, Consulate or flying over to the US. We have been very fortunate in the sense that when we were together over Christmas, the previous 6 months seemed like nothing at all!!

Our nerves have calmed down a helluva lot since december. I COULD be approved tomorrow, or, I could be approved in March. Whether it's then or now, it doesn't phase us too much. We know what we have is true and we could wait forever to be in each other's arms again! :)

Not only that, but we found the time apart has helped us as well on our journey together, as well as individuals. She has become a lot more responsible than the person she was 6 months ago, and I too have changed for the better.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder. this is true in the initial stage of the journey. Anything more than about 2-3 months just causes heart aches. Until, you are physically back together and that infatuated feeling runs through your veins and the excitment and love is rekindled within.

I cannot wait to step off of that plane on February 17th in LAX to greet my darling wife. I am going to soak up every moment of those 3 weeks before returning home again!!

As for the PC -------> HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm a douche bag. Here I was, thinking, 'SURELY there has to be a computer to use SOMEWHERE in Florida' lol my bad :oP

  4. I doubt that since my hubby is going tomorrow to get his PC and will not be ready until 1/15/10 which he will send express mail to me which i have to express mail to NVC so they might not get the DS-230 package until maybe 1/21/10 so we'll see but it would be great if we could get a February date i would freaking FLIP OUTbliss.gifbliss.gifbliss.gifbliss.gifbliss.gif

Internet cafes are always a good alternative!? As well as work computers if available?? Remember, we're in the year 2010! Getting your hands on a PC these days isn't terribly difficult, especially for these circumstances :thumbs::dance:

  5. i can understand USCIS not giving us updates on our status. I mean, when you think of how many people it would have to update daily, I can't see that being an easy thing to do... Even though WE all think it's a simple task.

What I don't understand is why they cannot simply release a general document on how cases are processed. EG, why someone has their NOA2 in two weeks as opposed to 5 months ???

    Ah well :o)

  6. Hello to all the new September filers ... :star:

Anyone else noticed the processing dates for VSC for I-130's?? #######, seriously. I'm supposed to not check on here anymore according to the husband. Over 110+ days of inactivity I think I am now allowed to vent occassionally. This whole thing is now seriously screwing with me. My life is on hold, his is not. Even decisions that used to seem simple are all of a sudden not simple, like buying concert tickets.

I hope someone else has good news soon. I don't think my prediction of Jan 10-16 is going to happen anymore. *sigh*

I know what you mean about tickets and whatnot. I was going to purchase ufc tickets for february in sydney. Now, I know if I receive my NOA2 today, I still won't get thru NVC + interview for about 7 weeks. Anyway, that said, don't allow it to screw with your life too much!! Easier said than done right? Haha

We are both doing heaps better since our time together in december. Ill be going over for about 3 weeks in feb/march and if we hear nothing by end of march then my wifey will come back out to syd!

I guess my situation is better than most as I know I only have about 40 days til I'm back with her :o(

Deb keep up the faith and belief :o)

  7. Yo Mike! Funny thing - easier than any other time. No questions apart from 'So you're visiting family & friends?' (this is what I ticked on the I-94). I said yes, my first white Xmas. That was it. I had a letter from work, house papers etc. but didn't need it. Had a great CBP Officer considering it was 6am in LA when I landed. We were both so anxious and I was a nervous wreck. But it all worked out, so the Universe is listening.

I had the worst airport moment saying goodbye. How was yours?

Well maybe I should have gone there for xmas haha. I'm considering a trip over there for a week or so in the near future.

The good-byes were horrible. Disgusting even. I felt like a terrible husband driving the missus to the airport. I knew I should have turned around and just taken her back home!!!
