  1. Last night I was on the phone to my darling wife. We had just finished reading our scriptures and said our family prayer. My wife suggested that tomorrow (today) we say our morning prayers and we fast for 2 meals - breakfast and lunch.

At 5pm I had a call from my boss to say "mike, where are you? There's a client waiting for you". I grabbed my blackberry and headed out the door!

The whole drive seemed like a dream, especially the time I checked email on my blackberry and had one from USCIS informing that our petition had been approved!!!!!!!

I do not believe in coincidence, not since the events that led my wife and I to be together. Like those events, this too was an act of God, and one of which we are both so greatful for!

    Bring on NVC!

  2. Gonna throw something out here that no one has touched upon yet.

Your fiance is about to leave his entire life - home, family, job, belongings and friends - behind and will have to start over from scratch with you. Even though he'll be with you, he will still have moments of feeling lonely or isolated. It takes about 2 years as a minimum to really adapt to a new life in a new country.

Irrespective. I think that is a cheap excuse imho. This MAN also has input and has made a choice to move 1/2 way around the World to me with the woman he loves. These are sacrifices you make in life, and the RESPECT for one another does not come in the form of demanding time away ever 6 months with a woman.

I love my wife, she is my absolute soul mate and best friend and it has been this way since we met. Still, if she made THOSE demands when coming to live with me or vice-versa, then I'm sure we would have had 'red flags'

To each their own, but for us, my husband and I are best friends. This is what we want and expect from/in our marriage. Neither of us would ever want a vacation from or without the other and would never allow any1 to come between us, Period.

You have every right to like or dislike. It seems simple to me, you don't like it, so, he should stop it. period. If he resents it, then I would question his priorities and what he wants from your marriage.

Compromise makes a marriage work and grow but compatibility must be there too. I think you better have an open discussion about your compatibility regarding friendships outside the marriage. If you 2 don't match up, then you 2 better think twice, thrice and again before you marry.

    Good luck

    BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! +1

  3. My fiance wants to spend a week or two with her every 6 months at least, although if he was able to work, he's said that he'd like to do it a lot more often than that and would like to do that as the years go by.

#######? Is this a serious topic, or are you pulling our legs? Don't go through the process of being financially responsible for him, thats all I can say. I smell a big fat lyin RAT.

That is my honst opinion. Just... Be absolutely sure!!!

  4. select the first box and then put your Wife (USC) name and address as contact. Alternatively you can just send them an e-mail choosing your wife as your agent as soon as you learn from the AVR that your DS3032 has been generated. Check the WIKI for NVC for an example of the e-mail content and the format of sending e-mail to NVC. I sent my agent selection via e-mail and it was accepted the next day. As a matter of fact I sent it before the AVR update that the DS3032 has been generated, from experience I know if it has been two weeks since approval chances are that it has been mailed but AVR not updated yet. Either way, it will catch up with each other if you send an e-mail and also a hard copy. You can get all your docs ready now to save time with sending docs back and forth between AUS and USA. If you prefer the e-mail DS3032 you can just send an e-mail to get started no signature required in that case! Alternately print all the forms from online now, fill them, sign them and mailed it to your wife, as soon as approval comes she will just add the dates and send them out. Electronic DS 3032 will save you days in the process.

Ah ok so no need to actually send THE ds-3032, just email once it has been generated... gotcha! cheers

  5. I know!! Me, you, Mike, Waiter and David ... it must be our turn surely?? If it's a freakin' RFE ... I'm gonna go drink copious amounts of alcohol, drunk dial the husband ... swear a bit and a lot ... sleep it off and then be loving him again.

Here here!! I reckon this week is your week sachinky

hmmmm - Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between January 14, 2010 and January 23, 2010

    couple more sleeps maybe?

  6. I just got back on the 17th from a visit with my hubby back in bangalore India. It was great..my flight landed 50 minutes before midnight on new years eve so we got to be together, in a cab as the airport in bangalore is way out of the city, but we were together at midnight! Then enjoyed over 2 weeks together to start the year out. Now I am home and its back to being depressed and impatient as I await some sort of notice as our file has not been touched since the NOA1 notice was given. Hope things speed along soon..this distance is a killer!

Am I too hopeful to think that this whole process could be finished and he actually get to come here by May?..most likely but never hurts to hope right?

I think May is a very achievable goal. In fact, I'm sure some would agree that it's quite generous. I'd be suprised if he weren't there by March or April. However, this is USCIS... ANYTHING is possible
