EAD/AP are at no extra charge so I would send them in anyway, even if you don't plan on using them. :)EAD is required to get SSN and DL is some states so if you want to get those done earlier then I would suggest it.

That e-verify system takes about 4 weeks to update. SS office will say everything is fine because their system is up to date. However other systems can take 2-4 weeks to get up to date. If she needs something straight away she can go and get a print out from SS that verifies that the SSN does indeed belong to her. Free and Easy if she needs proof ASAP.

I'm Canadian and I came down to specifically to get married. I was honest about it BUT you must return to Canada while the US citizen files the petition. You CAN travel back and forth BUT you must have ties to say that you are returning to Canada and with that said, you can be denied entry if they feel you do not have enough ties to Canada. You do have to go through the same proceedings as everyone else. There is no favoritism for Canadians in this matter! I hear the Cr1-Ir1 can take up to a year. Follow the guides as mentioned above they will actually help you get the answers you need and you won't be waiting for answers on here. Cheat the system and you could get permanently banned from the US.
Canada has different immigration rules all together and you can get that info from here
Enjoy the ride and the wait

Yes we had to register both maiden and married names on our mailbox. Most inconvenient but it must be done in some areas, not all but I would do it to be on the safe side. USPS sent back my biometrics appointment notification for my EAD (that is why it took so long) my maiden name was not registered on our box but some mail did slip through, just not the MOST important stuff!

I do believe we are saying the same thing in order to get it transcribed you must see a civil surgeon they will let you know but you can also be prepared. Complete (as mine was marked in Canada) with a MMR shot in 1983 was not sufficient for the I-693 you have to have one more recently. If you are unsure whether or not you will need another vaccination, you can be certain the the civil surgeon will let you know

Am I correct in assuming this is for the 'Application for Immigration visa and Alien Registration' #40a?
I'm from Canada and had a very similar situation. I answered no because I'm not a harm to myself or others. With the question of medication you will have to have your doctor put the nature of the illness in perspective in letter form. Have him/her write on the letter that must go with you to the medical Symptoms are under control and not likely to reoccur (if that is the case). When I went to the interview, make sure you have health insurance document stating that you are covered medically in the USA. It is not a required thing but anything you have will help. I honestly had no problems. You can PM me if you'd like more information.
